Today the customers have become the true drivers of change for any business and are at the focus of all decision making related to products & services. It is the customer who makes a difference between a companys success and failure. In a dynamic business environment marked by changing customer preferences, the need to be customer-centric is very important. Managing customers is getting difficult and challenging with the changing business environment and Customer relationship management is essential today to enhance productivity & profitability, as well as to increase competitiveness and market share. Besides, the customer today is more educated and aware than ever before and wants more value for money. The most definite path to a strong and profitable business is assuring that the customer receives the highest appropriate quality of service across multiple applications and delivery mechanisms. As has been said by Peter F. Drucker, the Father of Modern Management Quality in a service or product is not what you put into it, its what the customers get out of it. Companies today are faced with an unusual complex situation where the decisions made today shall hugely impact the performance of organization in future in terms of profitability, market share and growth etc. Therefore they need to focus on continuous improvement and innovation to create value for the customer and the firm itself in the long run. Customer relationship management has seen a dramatic growth over the last two decades and a substantial amount of research budget is being spent on measurement of satisfaction. The objective of this study is to identify why CRM has emerged as an important tool in the world of Marketing. The article attempts to bring out the importance of customer centricity in bringing satisfaction in the present context marked by increased competition, diminishing customer loyalty and empowered customers.

Awareness about the nutrient content of vegetables is very less especially in the rural areas where they are grown abundantly. These vegetables have a short shelf life, however by means of dehydration, they can be preserved and made available in off-season thus providing important minerals and vitamins to population groups throughout the year. In view of this, the present study was undertaken with the objective to produce a video film on products developed from dehydrated vegetables i.e. spinach and carrot. Its impact on rural women was then studied. Rural women between the age of 18-35 years were selected from two villages of lucknow district namely Mohanlalganj (n=40) as experimental group and Sisandi (n=40) as control group. The film entitled Nirjalikrit palak avam gajar se bane paushtik alpahar was produced for nutrition education showing the importance of vegetables, their dehydration and product formulation to combat micronutrient deficiencies. Video film was shown only to the experimental group first; without discussion and then with discussion. Results showed that before nutrition education, majority of the respondents (?90%) were in low knowledge category in both the groups. When the experimental group was exposed to video film, their knowledge level rose and majority of the respondents obtained medium score (67.5%) and when the same group was exposed to video film followed by discussion, their mean knowledge score further increased to 83.10 percent. Whereas there was no improvement in the knowledge scores of control group. The difference in the pre and post exposure knowledge scores (70.68 %) of experimental group was found to be highly significant (P?.01). Percent retention in knowledge was found to be 74.52, 30 days after exposure to video film. Education level of respondents was positively and significantly correlated with knowledge scores of the experimental group. Therefore it can be concluded that this film can be used in teaching and popularizing of recipes developed by incorporating dehydrated vegetables.

India presented significant financial sector changes during the 1990s through entering the new private and unfamiliar banks, changing loan fee controls, improving the function of market influences, and decreasing state avoidance of bank credit through decrease hold and legal liquidity prerequisites, which together remained at around 50% of advantages in 1992. This paper gives new exact proof on the effect of budgetary progression on the exhibition of Indian commercial banks. The examination centres on analyzing the conduct and determinants of bank intermediation expenses and gainfulness during the progression time frame. The investigation depends on the optional information and contemplates general society and private area banks in India. The observational outcomes propose that expansion in rivalry during money related progression has been related with lower intermediation expenses and productivity of the Indian banks. To put it plainly, just financially savvy, customer centered, innovation driven, capital reinforce banks which follow prudential guidelines can just continue in pulling in investors and borrowers in the current serious climate. The individual banks must be serious from one perspective and the controller ought to guarantee that the prudential standards ought to guarantee required strength and monetary soundness of banks without imperilling the best possible motivators to banks.

Mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs) are a collection of mobile nodes communicating wirelessly without a centralized infrastructure. The biggest challenge in MANETs is to find a path between communicating nodes, that is, the MANET routing problem. The considerations of the MANET environment and the nature of the mobile nodes create further complications which results in the need to develop special routing algorithms to meet these challenges. Swarm intelligence, a bio-inspired technique, which has proven to be very adaptable in other problem domains, has been applied to the MANET routing problem as it forms a good fit to the problem. In this thesis, a study of Ant Colony based routing algorithms is carried out taking into consideration two of the most popular algorithms Ant based algorithms, Ant Hoc Net and the Ant Routing Algorithm (ARA). A thorough analysis of ARA is carried out based on the effect of its individual routing mechanisms on its routing efficacy. The original ARA algorithm, although finds the shortest path between source and destination, is observed to not be competitive against other MANET algorithms such as AODV in performance criteria. Based on the analysis performed, modifications are proposed to the ARA algorithm. Finally, a performance evaluation of the original ARA and the modified ARA is carried out with respect to each other, and with respect to AODV, a state of the art MANET routing algorithm fulfill mobility criteria. The motivation behind the thesis is to realize application of MANETs in real world applications by solving the problem of routing.

Feminism in the Indian context is the recent renovation of early Vedic concepts of man-woman relationship and a byproduct of Western liberalism in particular and feminist thought in general. The indigenous contributing factors have been the legacy of equality of sexes inherited from the freedom struggle, constitutional rights of women, thrust on women education, and new awareness due to electronic media among women. The Indian woman caught in the flux of tradition and modernity, saddled with the burden of the past and the present to cast off her aspirations, constitutes the crux of aspirations, in fact constitutes the crux of feminism in Indian literature. In literary terms it precipitates in search for identity and a quest for the definition of the women self. In critical practice, it boils down to scrutinizing empathetically the plight of women characters and their struggle for emancipation of self. The voices emanating there from vary from the traditional -but conscious- of their selves to exclusively self-seeking with a seeming vengeance. When clearly articulated well-argued and precisely defined, feminist sentiments rather than mere faint echoes thereof can be traced as already referred in early works of Mary Shelley and Jane Austen, one feels chary of dubbing feminism as merely a late twentieth century phenomenon. The feminist perspective on literature- creative or critical- whether in a third world country or elsewhere has had to confront issues of similar persuasion: male chauvinism, sexist-bias, psychological and even physical exploitation, hegemonistic inclinations in not merely the male but also the female sections of the society, the utter disregard for females psychological, cultural, familial, and spiritual quests. Predictably enough the ways out suggested subtly or propagated more avowedly have ranged from mild protest seeking accommodation through moderation, love, persuasion and in the last separation to carving out of a self-sufficient exclusivist self.
