 Abstract

The paper aims to assess the extent of Total Quality Management (TQM) implementation and diversity prevailing in the three sectors of Indian Economy- Primary, Secondary and Tertiary; with respect to the acquaintance with TQM, presence of control department and preferences of core elements of TQM. The primary data is collected using questionnaire responded by 40 representatives of organisations at all India level. The three sectors show significant differences with respect to the implementations and presence of Quality Control Departments for TQM and do not have consensus in the core elements. All the three sectors have room for improvement, from adopting TQM practices to its implementation, but the study shows high awareness and adoption rate of TQM among primary and secondary sectors as compared to tertiary sector

 Abstract

This study aiming to understand the old age population is rapidly increasing around the world whereas very less research was done on the issues of the elderly. They are victims of various mental and physical abuses, the states role to take of these people falls under the Gandhian principles which the India state follows. But no uniforms and holistic plans were made by the governments to solve the problems of the elderly. The second demographic transition is making the individuals. The following study helps in reviewing the available literature sources and suggesting suitable policy measures for the issues. The observation found that the government need to spend more on providing health care, one of the reforms suggested was linking geriatric care with the primary health care system. The Old Age Homes are creations of the globalized and liberalized world where the mobility has updated rapidly. The government should establish more old age homes and needs to amend the present laws to create community care as the best alternative in the changing world.

 Abstract

Catecholamines are well known for the role they play in the adaptive processes both at rest and in response to acute stress. Under normal conditions, stress is considered as a primary factor in catecholamine secretion. Indeed, a marked increase in plasma catecholamine concentrations is often observed in response to various stressors such as physical exercise. Twenty four residential untrained male subjects (age between 22-24 years) were selected for the study and repeated measures design was applied. The effects of conditioning programme for 8 weeks, followed by 4 weeks of deconditioning and 6 weeks of reconditioning treatment were imparted and catecholamine response of adult males analyzed. 4 weeks of deconditioning significantly increased noradrenaline responses of adult males, 6 weeks of reconditioning significantly decreased adrenaline response of the subjects of the present study whereas the other conditions were unaffected.

 Abstract

Goats are used for milk as well as for meat production. One can develop specialized dairy type goats or specialized meat type goat or dual purpose ones; the dual purpose ones being most desired in India. Goats are also raised for hair fibres in the Himalayan region; e.g., the Kashmere or Pashmina goat. Hair of goats of other regions is rather coarse and is used for carpet making. Goat skins are also a very important commodity in this country. Breeding techniques for goats have to be used for improving the above characteristics in them. There are several well developed breeds of goats in India as described in the previous section. Constant endeavours have to be made via production recording, selection and mating (selective breeding), to improve the potential of such breeds. These breeds, in turn, can used for upgrading non-descript stock in other regions. Jamnapari and beetal are most promising ones for this purpose. In fact, Jamnapari is extensively used for grading local stock not only in India but also in several other Asian countries; such a breeding programme giving progeny with better growth performance as well as milk production

 Abstract

The Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019 of the parliament basically amended the provisions of The Citizenship Act, 1955. Section 2(b) of the mentioned Act provides the definition of Illegal Immigrants and prohibits anyone who is an illegal migrant from acquiring citizenship in India, however, by section 2 of the Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019, a proviso, to the provision of section 2(b) of the principal Act (The Citizenship Act, 1955), has been added, which excludes, Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi or Christian community from Afghanistan, Bangladesh or Pakistan, who entered into India on or before the 31st day of December, 2014 and, who doesnt have a valid documents to have entered India or remain in India, from the definition of Illegal Immigrants. The Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019 is a clear violation of fundamental principles of Constitution. It disrupts the norms of equality and promotes religious based discrimination and segregates people belonging to the Muslim community from those who belong to other religions as it confines people only belonging to Muslim community to be the citizens of India who have migrated to this territory on or before 31st December 2014. This paper checks the constitutional validity of the impugned Act and puts prominence on how it violates the fundamental right to equality, embodied under Indian Constitution, and certain provision of International Laws. For the sake of convenience, this paper has been divided into V parts. Part I gives an outline of the paper. Part II puts a light on how the Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019 violates the basic principle of equality embodied under Article 14 of the Indian Constitution. Part III discusses on how the Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019 intrudes upon the secular nature of the nation, which has been also declared as a basic feature of the Constitution by the Indian Judiciary. Part IV puts emphasis on how the impugned Act violates Article 51 of the Constitution by violating some International Conventions and Treaties and conclusion in Part V.

 Abstract

The fabric of agricultural activities in India reflects the spectrum of socio-economic variation of different socio-cultural groups. In the other words the agricultural scenario reflect the intense physical heterogeneity across the socio-economic aspect. Agriculture is the main occupation of the majority of population in Darrang district. The farmers of the district rely heavily on agriculture for their livelihood. Basically the Char areas of Darrang district are highly rich in the agricultural sector. Mainly winter crops are practiced in the Char areas of Darrang district. There is also devoted to study about the sustainable development in the Char areas. The intrinsic meaning of sustainable development implies the ethical imperative of equity within and between generation, which goes beyond the mere satisfaction of basic human needs. Sustainable development of region is solely dependent on conservation, management and judicious use of natural resources of the region. The Char areas of Sipajhar Development block of Darrang district are far lagging behind so for the development concerned. The tremendous population pressure in the Char areas on arable land may be considered as one of the most important aspect of sustainable development issue. Keeping this point of view, the researchers consider it important to undertake an analytical study on ' Agricultural Practices and Sustainability Among the Char inhabitants of Sipajhar Development Block of Darrang district, Assam .

 Abstract

We have witnessed the emergence of some new infectious diseases, many of which were major public health threats that were met with important infection prevention strategies. Now, an outbreak of novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), which causes the corona-virus disease 2019 (abbreviated COVID-19) has spread rapidly. Environmental contamination of hospital surfaces primarily contributes to infection transmission for many pathogens. Transmission of the COVID-19 virus has been linked to close contact between individuals within closed settings, such as households, health facilities, assisted living, and residential institution environments. Besides, community settings outside of health-care settings have been found vulnerable to COVID-19 transmission events including publicly accessible buildings, faith-based community centres, markets, transportation, and business settings. The level of surface contamination with COVID-19 is not familiar and has not been discovered yet but studies have revealed that disinfection leads to decreased transmission. Significant reduction in infection rates after chemical fogging of the hospital has been observed in several studies. [A]. With the objective of effective disinfection, we bring you the concept of fogging technique. For the same, an efficient fog generator has been designed by us for disinfection of any surface and inanimate objects. Our machine uses thermal fogging differently it generates vapour of disinfectant liquid on passing with high pressure through a narrow heated copper pipe. The particle size of fog (controllable in our instrument) being smaller than that of liquid, have more mobility and penetration to deeper surfaces which gives proper and effective disinfection. This allows us to achieve our target of inhibition of the transmission of virus from inanimate objects to human beings. So, disinfection using fog will be a boon to society during the crucial time of the pandemic.
