Major issue that arises from media trials is their potential effect on judges. It is a highlydebatable issue, and there are many views on it. Most prominent among these are the American view and the Anglo-Saxon view. The American viewpoint claims that jurors and judges are not susceptible to being affected by media publications, but the Anglo-Saxon viewpoint holds that Judges may nevertheless be unconsciously (though not consciously) influenced, leading the public to believe that such media articles influence the judges.1 Lord Denning, one of the most famous jurists of the twentieth century, said unequivocally in the Court of Appeal that media attention will not guide judges, but the House of Lords did not agree.

Ball bearings are very common part of most of the machines that we use for domestic as well as industrial purposes. Ball bearings are used in automobiles, fans, motors, pumps, elevators, pulleys, grinders, turbines, lathe machines, drilling machines, milling machines, cutting machines, heavy trucks, etc., everyday millions of ball bearings fail across the globe and gets replaced by a new ball bearing. 90% of the bearing failures are due to seal failure and entering of water in to the bearing. Water causes rusting of balls, increases in friction between inner & outer race and finally results in bearing failure. Only in rear cases few balls get failed due to heavy or shock loads, that means most of the balls of the bearings don't crack even after bearing failure. Recycling of these balls will help reduction in waste generation as well as save money. But there is no machine available in market for de-rusting of balls of ball bearings. As a part of our project dissertation, we are performing design and fabrication of roller based centrifugal balls de-dusting machine that helps in ball bearing recycling. The machine mainly consists of a collar shell, rollers, drive motor and support structure.

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are highly prevalent and pose a significant health burden across all age groups. Accurate and timely diagnosis of UTIs is crucial for effective management and prevention of complications. This case study aims to evaluate the utility of chromogenic agar as a primary culture tool for the isolation and presumptive identification of uropathogens in UTI diagnosis. Conventional diagnostic protocols for UTIs often rely on time-consuming cultural characteristics and biochemical tests, leading to limitations in sensitivity and specificity. Chromogenic media, pioneered by Dr. Alain Rambach, have emerged as a promising alternative by incorporating specific chromogenic substrates that produce distinguishable colors in the presence of bacterial enzymes. This facilitates the identification of uropathogens without the need for further biochemical testing. By examining the existing evidence and insights from clinical practice, this case study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the utility of chromogenic agar in clinical microbiology laboratories for UTI diagnosis. The findings will contribute to enhancing diagnostic strategies and optimizing treatment decisions for patients with UTIs, potentially leading to improved patient outcomes and reduced healthcare costs.

Satellite have been widely developed for public missions such as national defense and meteorology. The power capacity of satellites continues to increase. Accordingly, the weight and loss of the electrical power system of the satellite must be reduced. As the power capacity of satellites increases, a high bus voltage is strongly required to reduce the weight and power losses. However, most high-power DC/DC converter topologies such as half-bridge and full-bridge DC/DC converters have leg-structures, which violate the heritage design characteristics of the DC/DC converters for satellites. A DC/DC converter topology suitable for a high bus voltage that satisfies the heritage design characteristics of DC/DC converters for satellites is designed using a two-switch forward converter with an integrated buck converter. Since this converter integrates two DC/DC converters, the number of semiconductor devices is reduced. As a result, its cost, weight, and volume can be greatly reduced. Moreover, the zero-voltage switching of the low-side switch can be achieved and the efficiency is improved. Here, two switch forward converter with integrated buck converter is used to produce three outputs from a single input to use in satellite. The simulation is done in MALTLAB. The effectiveness and feasibility of the converter were verified with a prototype of 100 V input and 100 W (40 V/50 V) output.

This study aimed to explore the potential of Pseudomonas aeruginosa as a source of L-asparaginase, an enzyme renowned for its strong antitumor properties and extensively investigated as a therapeutic agent for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in children and various neoplasms in animals. Soil samples were collected, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa was isolated and confirmed as a reliable producer of L-asparaginase. The production conditions were optimized by varying the concentration of L-asparagine, a crucial substrate for enzyme synthesis. L-asparaginase production was monitored at different time intervals using a spectrophotometer. The results revealed that an optimal concentration of 1.0% L-asparagine after 72 hours yielded the highest L-asparaginase production. These findings provide valuable insights for enhancing enzyme action and contribute to the understanding of L-asparaginase production, with potential applications in cancer treatment and other fields. Future research can build upon these findings to develop improved strategies for L-asparaginase production and utilization in medical and biotechnological applications.

Environmental and economic reasons require the revision of present concrete making materials. Fortunately within this scenario a new player has emerged that can help in mitigating the problem and the player is Geopolymer Concrete. This paper provides the details of development of the process of making fly ash-based geopolymer concrete. Due to the lack of knowledge and know-how of making of fly ash based geopolymer concrete in the published literature, this study adopted a rigorous trial and error process to develop the technology of making, and to identify the salient parameters affecting the properties of fresh and hardened concrete. The main parameters affecting the compressive strength of hardened fly ash-based geopolymer concrete are the curing temperature and curing time, the molar H2O-to-Na2O ratio, and mixing time. Fresh fly ash-based geopolymer concrete has been able to remain workable up to at least 120 minutes without any sign of setting and without any degradation in the compressive strength. Providing a rest period for fresh concrete after casting before the start of curing up to five days increased the compressive strength of hardened concrete.

Cloud computing is a technology that utilizes a group of interconnected nodes to provide a range of services such as computation, data processing, and resource sharing. The nodes work together to deliver these services within a data center, with a master node serving as the coordinator for the nodes in a cluster. This master node is responsible for managing tasks such as handling deadlocks, reducing latency, ensuring reliability, improving performance, and providing users with access to efficient processing services. Selecting the optimal master node can be a complex task, as it involves considering factors such as memory, CPU-MIPS, throughput, and bandwidth. The current methods for choosing master nodes are generally inflexible, as they do not consider the resources available on individual nodes. To address this issue, a "watcher" program is employed to continuously monitor the master node's fitness for coordinating the network of nodes. If the master node is no longer suitable, the watcher program triggers a real-time reassignment process, during which the next most suitable node is appointed as the new master. This process occurs quickly and seamlessly, so that the user is not aware of any delay in response time. The Master Node Consensus Approach (MNCA) method proposed in this paper aims to enhance efficiency, minimize latency, and improve overall user experience. To achieve this, the Master Node Consensus Approach (MNCA) utilizes a genetic algorithm (GA) to select the optimal master node from the data center. The proposed approach consists of three modules: initial populace creation, master node appointment, and candidate node appointment. In the initial module, a scheduling algorithm is used to randomly assign tasks to different nodes/servers, generating the initial population. The overall performance and capabilities of each node are then evaluated based on available resources. In the second module, the best optimal nodes are identified as potential master nodes using genetic operations like crossover, mutation, and fitness functions, with available resources being taken into consideration. From the set of optimal nodes, one node is selected to be the master node, while the others are designated as candidate nodes. In the third module, a candidate node is assigned as the new master node in the event of the original master node's failure.

Agriculture plays a vital role in the economic growth of any country. With the increase of population, frequent changes in climatic conditions and limited resources, it becomes a challenging task to fulfill the food requirement of the present population. A manual farming consumes more time and is less efficient. So, smart agriculture techniques have recently seen widespread interest by farmers. This is driven by several factors, which include the widespread availability of economically priced, low-powered Internet of Things (IoT) based wireless sensors to remotely monitor and report conditions of the field, climate, and crops. Furthermore, the boom in IoT technologies have enabled farmers to deploy autonomous farming machinery and make better predictions of the future based on present and past conditions. This helps in decreasing the labor and time required to perform the processes on crops. So, the project is to design and construct a solar powered agricultural robot capable of seeding and watering. The system uses GPS coordinates to measure distance. This helps in planting the seed at equal distances. Geopy libraries in python is used to implement distance measurement algorithm. The same distance measurement algorithm is used to locate the planted seeds and water them. Watering is based on the results of soil moisture sensor. The battery used in this project can be recharged by the solar panel kept above the vehicle. This ensures the use of eco-friendly energy and prevents frequent charging of the vehicle. IoT is the backbone of the control strategy of the project thus, the actual status of the field can be monitored and controlled from any part of world using internet.

Renewable energy (RE) generation and effective utilization of available energy resources, have emerged as an exemplary panacea for increasing carbon footprint, depleting fossil fuels, increasing global warming and changing climatic conditions. SPV integrated water pumps experience some of the potential challenges such as reduced efficiency, increased DC link voltage instability, sluggish response and high capital cost. The evolution of permanent magnet motors, has led to reduction in losses up to a greater extent. Permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) and brushless DC motor (BLDC) are the two mostly used variant of permanent magnet machines. Solar water pumping system includes a SPV array, a three-phase inverter, a BLDC motor and a pump. The SPV array converts solar energy into electrical energy. Maximum power point tracking(MPPT) from the SPV is implemented by using single ended primary inductor converter(SEPIC). The inverter acts as power processing unit (PPU), which supplies desired currents to drive the BLDC motor. As the motor rotates, the pump coupled to the motor accomplishes the objective of water pumping. The MPPT and motor control algorithms are loaded in ESP32. ESP32 generates the gate pulses for the SEPIC and inverter switches. The use of BLDC for driving the pump, has increased the system efficiency, and has reduced the system size, consequently resulting in reduction of cost, complexity and further increase in the system efficiency and compactness. The system is cost efficient and switching to normal grid must be provided when there is low irradiance.
