The World Development Report in its 1994 annual issue under the auspices of World Bank rightly observed that infrastructure represent, if not the engine, then the wheels of economic activity. Infrastructure development is prerequisite in transforming a slow-moving economy into an advanced one. In the world competitiveness Index, released by IMD, a Swiss foundation tracking and examining four parameters of competitiveness, reported India's overall rank at 37th in 2022 from 43rd in 2021, has witnessed the sharpest rise among the Asian economies, however its performance still ranked at 49 in infrastructure development. India has about 63.72 lakh km of road network, which is the second largest in the world in terms of length. National Highways (NHs) constitute about 2% of the total road network but carry about 40% of the total road traffic. The Bharatmala Pariyojana program envisages a corridor approach in place of the existing package based approach which had, in many cases, resulted in skewed development. The umbrella program of Bharatmala focused on enhanced effectiveness of already built infrastructure, multi-modal integration, bridging infrastructure gaps for seamless movement and integrating National and Economic Corridors. The program was conceptualized to attain optimal resource allocation for a holistic highway development/improvement initiative. The present study aspires to delve into the details contour of Bhaaratmala Pariyojana undertaken by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highway(MoRTH) under NHDP in order to augment the infrastructural deficiency facing the country. The Ministry is actively pursuing multiple models of monetization of National Highway assets such as: Toll Operate Transfer (TOT) and Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT) model besides the existing PPP model. As per the estimates to realise the goal of $ 5 trillion economy by 2025-26 and USD 7 trillion by 2030, India needs huge investment in infrastructure and capacity building. The successful completion of the Bharatmala pariyojana is a great step in the right direction. As the Bharatmala pariyojana Phase-I is almost completed its tenure, the second phase is expected to operationalise by 2024. It has some additional features like Multimodal logistics parks which will provide seamless cargo transfer between Railways cargo, Inland Waterways, Air cargo, Dedicated Freight Corridors, Access-Controlled Expressways, National Highways, State Highways in a Hub and Spoke model. It will make current corridors more effective & will improve connectivity by leveraging synergy with inland waterways.

This thesis delves into the fascinating realm of algebraic mathematics, examining its fundamental concepts, theories, and applications. With a focus on simplicity and clarity, this study provides a comprehensive overview of algebra, intended to be accessible to both experts and beginners in the field. The thesis commences with a brief historical introduction, tracing the evolution of algebra from its origins to its significant contributions to modern mathematics. It highlights key milestones and influential mathematicians who shaped the development of algebra as we know it today. Moving forward, the thesis delves into algebraic structures such as groups, rings, and fields, providing an in-depth analysis of their properties and interrelationships. Special attention is given to the algebraic structures commonly encountered in mathematics and physics, including vector spaces, matrices, and polynomials. An exploration of algebraic equations and systems of equations follows, elucidating techniques for solving linear and quadratic equations, as well as systems of linear equations. The concept of matrices is employed to develop efficient methods such as Gaussian elimination and matrix inverses for solving these systems. The thesis further investigates the theory of algebraic functions and their properties, including polynomial functions, rational functions, and exponential functions. The concept of function composition is introduced, allowing for a deeper understanding of the relationships between different types of functions. Moreover, the thesis explores the application of algebra in various fields, including cryptography, coding theory, computer science, and physics. It sheds light on how algebraic concepts find practical implementation in encryption algorithms, error detection and correction codes, data structures, and quantum mechanics. To facilitate comprehension and reinforce learning, the thesis incorporates numerous examples, illustrations, and exercises throughout its chapters. These resources encourage active engagement and provide opportunities for readers to apply the acquired knowledge

Calnexin is an ER resident protein with calcium binding ability. It has known functions in glycoprotein folding and maturation. Cumulative evidences indicate the implication of calnexin in apoptosis induced by ER stress. Calnexin gene silencing in lung cancer cell line was shown to decrease cancer cell survival leading to effective chemotherapy. MAR binding protein SMAR1, established to have both tumor suppressor as well as immuno-modulatory functions. We speculated that apart from its tumor suppressor function, SMAR1 might also be involved in immunosurveillance of cancer cells. Earlier results depicted that SMAR1 increases the enrichment of both GATA2 and HDAC1 at calnexin promoter that they might interact with each other and form a repressor complex. However, no reports are available showing its interaction with HDAC1. SMAR1 is known to interact with HDAC1, but its interaction with GATA2 is unknown. We hypothesize that SMAR1 might form a triple complex with GATA2 and HDAC1 resulting in deacetylation of GATA2. We then checked the interaction between SMAR1, GATA2 and HDAC1. GATA2 Acts as an Activator of Calnexin in the Absence of SMAR1. GATA2 is known to act as an activator under acetylated condition, this acetylation is generally carried out by p300, an important member of HAT family of proteins. We try to establish that SMAR1 forms a triple complex with GATA2 and HDAC1. In the presence of SMAR1, there is reduction in acetylation of GATA2. So, we further want to check how SMAR1 and HDAC1 helps in the weak acetylation of GATA2.

The description, characterization and quantisation of the identified and unidentified impurities present in new drug substances is known as impurity profile. Impurity is defined as any substance coexisting with the original drug, such as starting material or intermediates or that is formed, due to any side reactions. Impurity can be of three types: Impurities closely related to the product and coming from the chemical or from the biosynthetic route itself, Impurities formed due to spontaneous decomposition of the drug during the storage or on exposure to extreme conditions, or the precursors which may be present in the final product as impurities. The suggested structures of the impurities can be synthesized and will provide the final evidence for their structures, previously determined by spectroscopic methods. Therefore it is essential to know the structure of these impurities in the bulk drug in order to alter the reaction condition and to reduce the quantity of impurity to an acceptable level. Isolation, identification and quantification of impurities help us in various ways, to obtain a pure substance with less toxicity and, safety in drug therapy.
