 Abstract

Home automation system achieved great popularity in the last decades and it increases the comfort and quality of life. In this paper an overview of current and emerging home automation systems is discussed. Nowadays most home automation systems consist of a smart-phone and micro-controller. A smart phone application is used to control and monitor the home appliances using different type of communication techniques. In this paper the working principle of different type of wireless communication techniques such as Zig-Bee, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ocean and GSM are studied and their features are compared with each other so the users can choose their own choice of technology to build home automation system. Home automation system is growing rapidly, they are used to provide comfort, convenience, quality of life and security for residents. Nowadays, most home automation systems are used to provide ease to elderly and disabled people and they reduce the human labor in the production of services and goods. Home automation system can be designed and developed by using a single controller which has the ability to control and monitor different interconnected appliances such as power plugs, lights, temperature and humidity sensors, smoke, gas and fire detectors as well as emergency and security systems One of the greatest advantage of home automation system is that it can be controlled and managed easily from an array of devices such as smart-phone, tablet, desktop and laptop.

 Abstract

The year 2020 has marked its name in the history . As the year 2020 would always be recognised due to various unfortunates that has been occurred namely COVID-19, Fanny, Cyclones and many more. The pandemic has significantly disrupted the higher education sector as well, which is a critical determinant of a countrys economic future. However, students seem to be happy as their wished to remain at home seems to be come true with the closure of schools. Its impact can be observed globally .The global impact of Coronavirus is immense as educational institutes all over the world from Harvard to the IITs are closed. Hence, Covid-19 has thrown education all over the world in a loop. This paper tries to highlight the impact of covid-19 on education along with it also tries to analyze the future of students as it would be a difficult task to commence everything from initial point after lockdown as the virus would not be disappeared fully.

 Abstract

Cloud computing is the on-demand availability of computing system resources, especially data storage and computing power, without direct active management by the user. Security is deemed to be the crucial aspect due to significance of the information stored in the cloud. So, the data management and the security should be reliable. The paper proposes a way to store information securely in the cloud, by splitting data into several chunks and store it on cloud in a manner that preserves data confidentiality, integrity and ensures availability. When the user uploads a file to the server, the file splits into four different server instances in encrypted form. The encryption is done by using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm and stores the files in the cloud. The four encrypted files in the server instances combine into a single encrypted file and by using proxy re-encryption technique the file re-encrypted by using a key. While downloading the file, the service asks for a key which was sent to the users mail id by using Message Digest (MD5) algorithm. By using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm, the file is converted into single decrypted file and downloaded by the user. This approach ensures the security and privacy of client sensitive information by storing data across single cloud, using AES algorithm, MD5 algorithm and proxy re-encryption techniques.

 Abstract

Calcium plays a key role in the treatment and prevention of bone demineralization. A widely used calcium enrichment source is purified CaCO3 with a high calcium content (about40%). Chicken eggshell powder, with a calcium content of about 38%, is a promising but little known source of calcium for human nutrition. The use of chicken eggshell powder might be beneficial, it could increase bone density and reduce pain in patients with osteoporosis. Eggshell calcium is probably the best natural source of calcium and it is about 90% absorbable. With the above context, the present study was undertaken, to analyse the Nutritive value of White eggshell powder and Brown eggshell powder and to formulate the Cookies with the incorporation of Egg shell powder. On basis of Physical characteristics, the eggs were selected for study, and their Nutrient content were assessed. The white and brown egg shell powder were incorporated into cookies and the value added products were formulated. Sensory quality is a combination of different senses of perception coming into play in choosing and eating a food. Hence, the Cookies prepared by incorporating both eggshell powder were evaluated for their sensory characteristics. The eggshell incorporated cookies were prepared and demonstrated among the different age groups viz., adolescents, adults, old age. This popularization among different communities created awareness about the nutritive value of both brown eggshell and white eggshell. The study revealed 8g of white eggshell powder was incorporated with 117g Maida for preparing Cookies was highly acceptable by semi trained panel members.

 Abstract

Abstract: Work-life balance is a concept that includes the correct definition of priorities between "work" (career and ambition) and "lifestyle" (health, pleasure, leisure, family and spiritual development/meditation). This study gives information on the balance between the work and personal life of police employees and the impact of the demographic profile on it. The objectives of the study are to investigate the relationship of demographic variables to the work-life balance of selected police personnel from the Odisha police department. The demographic variables considered in the study are age, gender and marital status. For this study, a sample size of 150 is taken using a stratified random sampling method. The one- way ANOVA is used for tabulation and hypothesis tests. The research study found that age, gender and marital status demographic factors have a significant relationship with the work-life balance of police personnel in Odisha state. The results of the study are essential because police personnel may not spend enough time with their family and negatively impact individual performance.

 Abstract

Usage of communication technique is increasing as human race is combating an invisible enemy: the novel Coronavirus Covid19. Zoom, an innovative video conferencing platform is gaining popularity in India since the announcement of nationwide lockdown from 25th March 2019 by the Government of India. In this paper we have analysed the feasibility and popularity of the Zoom video conferencing platform during this lockdown period. We have recorded responses of 100 participants working in different sectors who have used this platform for their professional activities. The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences(SPSS) software is used and it is found that popularity of Zoom has surpassed any other application in terms of usage and user experience for online classes, corporate meetings etc. Although findings suggest that most of the users are having security issues with this application and are more interested in using the trial version than to pay any upgradation charge for smooth functioning, most described their experience as highly satisfactory due to its ease of use, cost effectiveness etc.

 Abstract

Music is an amusing sound that leads us to experience peace and happiness. One of the fine arts today is music. Music digitalization provides us to access easily the different kinds of music. We often choose to listen to a song or music which best fits our mood at that moment, by means of features of music the mood of a song can be expressed. Most of the music software present today are lacking for providing the facility of mood-aware play-list generation. Manually choosing songs list suiting a specific mood or occasion by music listeners may be time consuming, that can be avoided by annotating songs with the relative emotion category. Here, work involves analysis of various features in order to learn, train and test the model representing the moods of the audio songs. Some of the basic components are to be considered for music emotion classification audio feature consists of feature set belong to groups dynamic, rhythmic, spectral, and harmonic. Support Vector Machine (SVM) is used as classifiers to classify the music mood recognition.

 Abstract

Abstract: The proposed idea is an innovative and unique way, which can solve the major problem of waste segregation and prevent the waste from over flowing from the dustbin on the streets which is a huge problem in India as well as in other parts of the world. It can also help in reducing the amount of recycled waste that is dumped into the dumping grounds by effectively segregating the recyclable waste. The solution provided to solve all the above -mentioned problems is "Automation of waste segregation". It provides a way in which the waste is segregated at the time of collection i.e. at the source itself. To do so an inlet will be provided in every apartment of the building through chutes to collect waste, and at the same time segregate the waste into wet and dry at the source it-self. The system is implemented using Arduino and various sensors which serves to be the most cost effective and accurate way.

 Abstract

Social inequality, as a negative outcome of urbanization, results in a social exclusion, segregation that limits people access to resources, essential services, political and economical rights by restricting people's participation in the city planning process in fair terms. This social exclusion ends up with various challenges such as urban poverty, unemployment, income inequalities, crime, delinquency, gender disparities and other social conflicts which need careful consideration. The fact cannot be overlooked that the current urban planning policies and programs lacks in evaluating the multidimensional impact of social inequality. Thus, this paper focuses on the significant aspects and scope of social inequalities in urban areas along with determinants and consequences with the emphasis on the importance of inclusive planning strategies to ensure social stability within a city.

 Abstract

Rape is a heinous crime that is considered graver than murder. It is a crime of violence that not only damages the body but which also leaves a permanent scar in the mind of the victim, and when it occurs within the four-walls of a matrimonial home, it reduces the woman to the status of an object used merely for sexual gratification. Marital rape is sex by a husband with his wife without her assent by compulsion or threat. In India, rape is a penal offence under S.375 and S.376 of IPC. Surprisingly, it unequivocally avoids marital rape from the ambit of conviction. The woman has and still continues to be victimized by man and society. The patriarchal power structures have deemed marriage to be a license to legal unwilling sex. There is a total negation of the self worth of a woman. Even as we celebrate 70 years of independence, the women in our country are still not truly free and independent and continue to live under the realm of darkness and fear. This paper significantly focuses on the violation of the fundamental rights of women guaranteed by the Constitution of India and the status of marital rape in India and different countries of the world.

 Abstract

In this millennium, the computer technology is emerging in large areas of specialization. People have been using the computer to make life easier. Internet today has become a new way of life. Every year millions of people buy computers to get connected to the World Wide Web (WWW).The Internet is expected to take over our lives. Internet is going to be used to buy groceries, pay phone and electricity bills and check your bank account. All of these can be done by using the Internet. Online services are also used in education. There are many online services such as online registrations for new students, online result to check examination result, online experiment and distance learning. Currently, we are starting to have online exam where the students can give the exam based on their intelligence using the Internet. Students who have registered for exam will be recorded in the database. After that the website give an ID to the student where user can login for give the exam. When the students finish their final examination, the student wants to see their result. The main problem of this whole process is that the system cannot transfer the data to the students directly and they have to go through certain procedures before the students obtain the results. Moreover, the students always receive their results late. This is the main complaint that was received from the parents. In the online examination only authorized personnel are allowed to enter the grades, the overall process is very slow. To overcome these problems, this thesis proposes an online examination result. With this new system ,the students can view their results faster and easier using their home computer or cyber cafe as long as the computer is connected to the Internet. Online System can reduce paperwork before producing the result. Generally, the web-based system can help the students to get faster result through the Internet. Students will have the opportunity to view their results. By using web-based online system, students will not have to wait for a long time to review their results. Moreover the test conducted will be adaptive. This means that the difficulty level of questions will upgrade or degrade according to the answers given by students in each question. For each correct answer, the difficulty level of next question will upgrade and for each wrong answer, the difficulty level of question will go down.

 Abstract

Admission system in college nowadays is a great hassle to deal with, for the students as well as the college staff. After completing the secondary board exams, a huge number of students apply for admission in various colleges and it becomes hectic for them to reach every college and fetch the info about the colleges admission process. The college staff as well need to answer many students and solve their queries. So to deal with this problem, we came up with a solution of creating a chatbot that can work on the colleges admission portal and answer the queries of each student which will the decrease the load on college staff as well as help students ease up in the process of applying for admission in a college. With the use of chatbot there would be zero doubt space since it would be a direct communication between the student and college as all the answers that the chatbot would come up with to answer the doubts would be fetched from colleges admission portal database
