Nowadays, face recognition is a reliable and accurate access control technique which is used along with other biometric methods. Face recognition is a process of recognizing the face sample of particular person from the set of face samples stored in the system. It can be done by converting images into digital binary representation to extract features using various techniques. In this paper, we propose a real time face recognition system which implemented using VGG16 architecture of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Transfer Learning. Convolutional Neural Networks are special type of deep learning neural networks which mainly used for image classification. OpenCV open-source library is used for image pre-processing. The experimental results indicates that an average accuracy of 97- 99% is achieved and hence this is one of the best methods for face recognition.

License Plate Recognition was a computer system that recognizes any digital image automatically on the number plate. This system includes various operations such as taking pictures, localizing the number pad, truncating characters and OCR from alphanumeric characters. The main idea of this system is to design and develop effective image processing techniques and algorithms to localize the license plate in the captured image, to divide the characters from that number plate and to identify each character of the segment by using the Open Computer Vision Library. This has been implemented in K-NN algorithm and python programming language. Many applications can be implemented by using this system, such as security, highway speed detection, violation of light, identification of handwritten text, discovery of stolen cars, automatic fee collection systems.

In recent years, Coronaviruses, a large family of viruses, have grown extremely prevalent, communicable, and harmful to the whole human race. It transmits from person to person by exhaling infected breath, which deposits virus droplets on various surfaces, which are subsequently breathed by another person, who contracts the illness. As a result, we must safeguard ourselves and others around us from this predicament. We may take safeguards like keeping social distance, washing hands every two hours, using sanitizer, and, most importantly, wearing a mask. Wearing a mask in public has grown quite widespread in recent years all around the world. Due to its high population in a short space, India is the most afflicted and terrible situation. This study presents a technique for detecting whether or not a face mask is used in offices or any other workplace with a large number of individuals. For this, we employed a convolutional neural network. The model was trained on a real-world dataset and successfully tested using live video streaming. The model's accuracy is further tested using several hyperparameters and many persons at various distances and locations inside the picture. Face Mask Detection, Convolutional Neural Network, MobileNetV2, Corona Virus Precaution are some of the terms used in this paper.

Differential Evolution (DE) is a simple, rapid, and numerically robust evolutionary optimization approach. The DE algorithm is a population-based algorithm, similar to a genetic algorithm that employs comparable operators, such as crossover, mutation, and selection. The DE method is simple to apply to a wide range of real-valued situations. DE utilized in this work to tackle two engineering optimization problems in the literature. The approach presented in this article compared to other well-known conventional optimization method. According to the results obtained, the convergence speed of DE is much faster than that of the other approaches. As a result, the DE algorithm appears to be a potential method for solving engineering optimization issues.

The Internet of Things is a network of connected physical objects that can communicate and exchange data without human intervention. As a result, the Internet of Things is considered an "information society infrastructure". The IoT infrastructure used accurate sensors and seamless connectivity to assist in the collection and analysis of real-time information, enabling effective decision making. By using this technology, we present the idea of Security Monitoring System for Remotely Isolated Areas is an IOT-based system that uses the Internet for various purposes. The proposed system shows the existence of a person if it is located on the premises and provides more security by capturing and recording activities on the frames after intruder is detected. When leaving the facility, the user enters a password to activate the system. The operation of the system starts with motion detection, presuming it is because of an intruder, then reports the presence of people to the owner. The corresponding notification will also be sent to Users via SMS. The hardware implementation of the proposed system Supported by Raspberry Pi. Meanwhile, the software used is OpenCV (for video surveillance), Raspberry Pi camera Module for surveillance and GSM module (for SMS notifications).

There are some cases where it is needed to monitor or fill the tanks that are located high from the ground level and labors have to continuously keep monitoring it or filling it by climbing at the tank level high up. It takes lots of time and wastage of syrup to fill the tanks. Especially, for the company in which this model will be fitted which has many problems regarding filling upper tanks situated at high level, labor injury while climbing at high level peak and overflow of water in overhead storage tanks, etc. This is where automatic liquid control system comes into picture. The operation of Syrup control system is based upon the Fact that Arduino will get signals from sound waves emitting from the ultrasonic sensor. As the level of water reaches to the bottom in the tank it will trigger the motor to be turned on and the motor will start filling the tank with water to the maximum level. As soon as the tank is filled with water to its maximum capacity the ultrasonic sensor will emit sound waves and Arduino will receive the pulse required to stop the motor and the motor will stop pumping the water. This automation holds the main motive of reducing labor work.

The exchange and use of healthcare data are controlled by hospitals and not patients. With features such as immutability, availability, confidentiality, unique identification, provenance and decentralized management, Blockchain can drive significant changes in existing data exchange and ownership models by shifting the system to a patient-centered model. The substantial increase in the adoption of sensors and IoT devices has allowed us to propose systems for monitoring health in real-time; moreover, the system would send an alert message to patients and concerned medical authorities if some anomaly is detected. In this study, we explore the benefits of blockchain in maintaining and sharing electronic health records (EHRs), seeking insurance, and securing the exchange of IoT data between patients and health facilities. Scalability is a fundamental issue of the blockchain. Hence, we also explore off-chain data stores for storing patient information and history, EHRs, and information related to insurance and insurance claims in this article. We also provide a comprehensive analysis of studies used to Analyse IoT data for heart attacks and to reduce the time it takes to diagnose.

In view of current situation the COVID-19 has become ubiquitous in every corner of the world. Every individual need to be cautious to overcome the spread of the COVID-19. It has become necessary to predict the COVID symptoms in order to allow the people at the public places and the entrances. One of the early symptoms of covid-19 is high body temperature. It would be difficult to check temperature of everyone, there might be a chance of being in contact with the person which is harmful. An automatic temperature scanning gate is presented to verify the body temperature of any intruder. The main objective of the system is to monitor the human body temperature when the presence of human is detected through the PIR sensor. In normal situation the gate is closed. If the module senses any high temperature (more than 37 degree Celsius), buzzer is activated indicating the detection of covid symptom. Otherwise, the gate is opened, thus allowing the person into the room. The opening and closing operation of the gate is performed by a servo motor. And the LCD displays the persons temperature, being detected by Infrared sensor. In this project an attempt will be made to develop a prototype for Automatic temperature detection system for entry for covid safety.

Achieving rapid economic development in a country like India has become a kind of threaten in environment. A faster growth of population in the country induces faster expansion of agricultural growth and unplanned industrialization to meet huge demand for food and other necessities that outcomes environmental degradation. India is one of the fastest growing economies of the world and will continue its widespread and rapid urbanization and industrialization often compels planners to overlook the importance of maintaining a natural balance in environment. The unplanned behavior of economy has resulted ecological imbalance with disastrous fallouts such as deleting natural resources, degraded land, disappearing forests, endangered species, dangerous toxins, global warming etc. Population pressure contributes to land degradation and soil erosion, thus affecting productive resource base of the economy. The present paper is an attempt to study the population in India and its impacts on land, forest and water and energy resources. The paper concludes with some policy reflections and emphasizes the potential importance of natural resources.

The agricultural sector in Assam plays a vital role in the socio-economic fabric of rural communities, particularly in ecologically sensitive regions like the Char-lands -- riverine islands formed by the shifting course of the Brahmaputra River. These areas, despite their fertile soils, are highly vulnerable to natural calamities such as floods, erosion, and climate variability, which pose significant challenges to sustainable agricultural development. This study critically examines the agricultural production strategies employed in the rural and Char regions of Assam, with a specific focus on their environmental, economic, and social sustainability. Through a combination of field surveys, interviews with farmers, and secondary data analysis, the study explores both traditional practices and modern adaptations adopted by local communities to cope with environmental uncertainties and resource limitations. It also evaluates the effectiveness of government policies, institutional support, and NGO interventions aimed at enhancing agricultural resilience in these marginalized regions. The findings highlight that while traditional knowledge and innovative community-driven strategies contribute to sustainability, persistent issues such as poor infrastructure, limited access to markets and credit, and weak institutional support hinder long-term progress. The study concludes with policy recommendations to promote climate-resilient agriculture, strengthen local institutions, and integrate Char-specific strategies into mainstream development planning. Enhancing sustainability in Char agriculture is not only crucial for food security and rural livelihoods but also for achieving broader goals of inclusive and equitable development in Assam.

Federalism in India is a complex and dynamic system that blends the principles of both federal and unitary governance. Designed to accommodate the country's vast cultural, linguistic, and regional diversity, Indian federalism is enshrined in the Constitution, which provides a clear division of powers between the Union and State governments. While India exhibits several essential features of a federal structure-such as a written constitution, dual government, division of powers, and an independent judiciary-it also possesses strong unitary elements like single citizenship, financial centralization, and the central government's authority during emergencies. This paper critically examines the federal features of India alongside its unitary characteristics, discussing how the balance of power functions in practice. It also explores whether India should be classified as a federal or unitary state, concluding that India represents a unique model of quasi-federalism with a strong center. The study highlights the significance of federalism in maintaining national unity, promoting regional autonomy, and ensuring effective governance in a diverse and populous nation.

The demand of freshwater is rising exponentially over the years to meet the ever increasing human needs for drinking, agriculture and industries. Water quality has immense influence on the sustenance of the biotic components in it as well as those supported by it. The evaluation of water quality is done in terms of physical parameters such as turbidity, pH, electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids and total hardness in the three sites i.e. Lakkidi, Akalur and Athirkkad of Bharathapuzha, a major river of Kerala. By looking each of the parameters there is only a slight variation in the value during the study period in the three sites. But all are within the acceptable limit. The study revealed that water quality of the river is good and less polluted. There is a need for increased education and awareness programs to improve the conservation needs and profile of the Bharathapuzha river system.
