The present study aims to explore various Green practices practised in higher educational institutions (HEI's) to attain environmental sustainability so that economic and social development go hand in hand without compromising our environment. Use of renewable sources of energy, proper conservation and management of flora & fauna, rain water harvesting, proper disposal of e-waste and chemical waste from laboratories, reducing use of non-renewable resources, recycling & reusing precious and limited resources, construction of green and eco-friendly buildings by using locally available building materials and incorporating traditional wisdom are some of the green practices which can solve the global environmental problems such as global warming and climate change. HEI's play a major role in spreading environmental awareness not only among students but also among masses by leading society by example. Some green practices such as conduction of certificate courses in organic and natural farming, promoting green lifestyle are also suggested in this paper. These green practices can improve our quality of life, build image of the institution and reduce carbon footprints to save our mother earth.

India is one of the countries with maximum number of young population and engineering education has been one of the most popular and favourite domains of education among them. India is known to be one of the largest and most qualified pools of workforce. In the last few decades, corporate sectors have propagated engineering education as the need of the hour to hire new professionals for their business development. This made engineering students and institutes to understand and attain key requirements of the employers. The country has witnessed a huge growth in manufacturing and service sectors. This was also augmented with the Government's initiatives under National Skill Development Corporation. This paper attempts to study the loopholes that exist in the current engineering education to meet the corporate requirements. It also attempts to understand the employers' requirements and the set of skills engineering students possessed and review the opportunities to fill this wide gap between the two with the interference of engineering institutes. This will also try to scrutinize the perceptions of all stake holders involved in engineering education.

Abstract: A society develops only when its social, educational, cultural and economic condition develops and it effects each and every citizen in the society. But some typical problems and situations create barriers in the way of social development, such as anti-social activity, poverty, racial discrimination, economic deprivation, corruption, unemployment, beggary, lack of infrastructure etc. It is more evident in rural and remote areas. In this paper, we attempt to make a model theory which will help every librarian directly or indirectly to participate in social developmental work. We also present here an evaluative study on the main topic.

On the environmental side, high consumption places stress on rivers, lakes and ground water aquifers and may require dams and flooding with serious ecological impacts. The discharge of polluted water once it has been used damages aquatic ecosystems. On the economic side, high levels of water use require ever-increasing and expensive investments in water system infrastructure needed to gather, deliver and dispose of water.

The teaching of Buddha gives us a path to live a moral life having a normative value, which we would prefer to make a healthy society. We know that Buddhism does not encourage any hatred which we may witness in our life. It always gives an approach where a layperson and monk can lead their life with their choice and still have the opportunity to the attainment of nirv??a. Though according to Buddhism, nirv??a is just about the cessation of suffering. While ahi?s? is the prime key to Buddhist ethics. The paper is an attempt to show how helpful it is to apply the path suggested by Buddhism. The study would also have a set up to show how H?nay?na and Mah?y?na Buddhism gives a different approach to the attainment of nirv??a. Towards building well-being and peace in the society, how the model of Buddhist morality can take an important role is to be discussed in the concluding part of the paper.

Face recognition has recently received a lot of attention as one of the best applications of image analysis and comprehension, especially during the previous considerable amount of time. This tendency can be explained by no fewer than two factors: the first is the wide range of corporate and legal authorization applications, and the second is the accessibility of realisable improvements after 30 years of research. Even though current machine recognition systems have reached a certain level of progress, their success is limited by the constraints imposed by several real-world applications. For instance, it is still quite difficult to accurately identify faces in photos taken outside with changing lighting and/or posture. In the end, present frameworks are still far from ideal. In this paper we have presented a survey and challenges on face recognition systems.

Mixed flow compressor module is employed in machines such as gas turbine engines, steam turbines marine applications and power generation purpose. Mixed flow compressor impeller is cad modeled and analyzed for thermo-mechanical stress for improvement in the structural ability for load carrying capacity. In this work mixed flow compressor impeller is cad designed based on the centrifugal compressor design methodology for given operating conditions. The geometric modeling of the impeller was done using the modeling tool catia and it was imported to Hyper mesh for meshing then exported to ANSYS through input file in ‘in’ file format for the subsequent analysis. The impeller was analyzed for different loads such as inertial and thermal loads and cyclic symmetric boundary conditions. The impeller shaft analyzed for natural frequency and mode shapes to avoid resonance conditions. Thermal barrier coating materials are used to reduce the heat transfer to the system and its structural ability is estimated. A layer of composite thermal barrier coating is created using hyper mesh and the effect of this on stress behavior is analyzed. The results shows reduction of deflection and stress with low thermal expansion coefficient material. Even composite material has lesser thermal conductivity along with density compared to the parent titanium material. This character of composites can be effectively utilized to increase the load carrying capacity of the impeller. The impellers can operate still at higher frequencies with this composite cladding. Modal analysis is carried out to find the resonant frequencies. The results show the first natural frequency of 1332 Hz is much higher compared to the operational frequency of 783Hz. So resonance will not takes place in the problem.
