The word 'Language' originates from the Latin term "Lingua," which translates to "tongue." The idea that language holds in itself culture is largely believed, and culture bears all of the values that shape our understanding of who we are and where we fit in the world, especially through literature and art. As a result, language becomes intrinsic to our individual identities as human beings, with unique qualities and histories as well as unique connections to the outside world. Recognizing the crucial role of language and culture, colonial powers deliberately used language as a cultural instrument to stealthily spread their beliefs, viewpoints, and practices throughout the colonization era. By using a nuanced approach, they attempted to strengthen the colonization process and made it easier for their beliefs and methods to permeate the civilizations they wished to rule. In many instances, local languages were systematically forbidden by colonizers, and colonized countries were forced to refrain from speaking their native tongues due to the colonizers' linguistic encroachment. The conquered civilizations were frequently forced to bow to the authority of the colonialists due to their diminished linguistic and cultural power. These conquered nations occasionally even absorbed elements of the linguistic and cultural supremacy of the colonialists. This was the modus operandi of the British colonizers in India too, English writing in India became increasingly popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, partly due to the rise of nationalism. The English language developed into a powerful and incisive tool for emotional expression. One of the very rare writers who expressed themselves creatively in many languages is Girish Karnad. He wrote in Kannada at first, then translated it into English. Despite receiving a coveted Rhodes Scholarship to study at Oxford University, he wrote the majority of his plays including Yayati, Tuglaq, Hayavadan, Nagamandal, Bali: The Sacrifice, etc. in his native language, Kannada. He examined and made observations on modern society in his writings in Kannada, taking into account the socio-cultural sensitivities of the local Kannada speakers as he related current events to historical, mythical, and folk settings.

College is a gateway to higher education, offering specialized knowledge and expertise in various fields. Obtaining a college degree enhances career prospects and opens doors to better job opportunities and higher earning potential. College students are a diverse group with varying interests, backgrounds, and aspirations. Overall, college students and college years play a crucial role in shaping the future of individuals and societies, fostering personal growth, intellectual development, and societal progress. Methodology: A cross-sectional, and correlation study design was used in the present study, to examine impact of stream of study and educational class on anxiety among college students. ADSS developed by Bhatnagar et.al. (2011) was used to assess mental health problems (Anxiety) among college students. The present study sample consisted of a total of 1455 male and female college students who are pursuing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years bachelor's degrees in all streams (Arts, Commerce, Science) in Government and Private degree colleges of Ankola taluk of Uttara Kannada district. Results revealed that, about 68% of college students were suffering from anxiety, The remaining 32%, of the students were seen under the normal category. A higher percentage of the samples were seen under severe levels of anxiety (35%) compared to moderate (22%) and mild (11%) levels of anxiety. The association between the stream of study and Anxiety levels shows that, Compared to Commerce students (68%) and Science students (68.4%), more students of Arts stream (81.1%), were facing mild to severe anxiety levels. Overall, more than 50% of students from all streams were facing more anxiety. A statistically significant association was observed between the stream of study and anxiety levels (?^2(6) =190.02, p<0.01). Association between educational class and anxiety revealed that, 4 A significant association was observed between class/year of study and level of anxiety (?^2(6) = 17.02, p<0.01). About 71.8% of first-year students experienced mild to severe anxiety. Among second-year degree students, this figure was 68.5%, while 64% of third-year students reported similar anxiety levels. While more than half of students across all years faced this concerning issue, it was noticed that the percentage of students experiencing anxiety decreased as they progressed through higher classes. Conclusion: From the present study, it may be concluded that college students of the present study were more vulnerable to mental health problems like anxiety. The study theoretically contributes to the body of scientific knowledge on prevalence of anxiety among college students. The findings underscore the urgency for intervention and support strategies tailored specifically for college students.

Ability to produce large metallic parts with low to medium complexity made wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) a viable alternative to the conventional manufacturing processes. Prediction and optimization of process parameters is of the paramount importance due to influence of those on the build quality and mechanical properties. In this article, WAAM manufacturing process of SS304L was investigated for the prediction and optimization of 304L stainless steel. In order to investigate the influence of voltage, current and travel speed, a L16 Taguchi experimental design was used with the geometrical characteristics of the deposit and the hardness as the response variables. The TOPSIS (Techniques for Order - Preferences by Similarity to - Ideal Solution) technique was used to determine the ideal process parameters. The data obtained indicate that travel speed has the greatest impact on WWB and HWB, while heat input has an impact on microhardness. The optimal process parameters, V= 21.5 V, I= 80 A, TS= 200 m/min, were obtained.

Air breathing engines are widely used in aircraft and missile applications. These air breathing engines will work efficiently in supersonic and hypersonic conditions only. Supersonic air breathing engines work in the range of mach 3 to 5 and hypersonic air breathing engines work on above mach 5 or 6. The hypersonic air breathing engines are known as scramjet engines. Air breathing engines efficiency was increased by increasing the pressure recovery or pressure at the outlet of the inlet. Thus with the increasing efficiency of hypersonic inlet diffusers , it directly improves the efficiency of the hypersonic air breathing engine. In this paper numerical analysis was conducted to improve the efficiency of hypersonic inlet diffusers by varying cowl and ramp geometry (i.e angle and lengths ). It is observed that with the increase of lengths of ramp outlet mach number and pressure are increased.

Cloud storage as one of the most important services of cloud computing helps cloud users break the bottleneck of restricted resources and expand their storage without upgrading their devices. In order to guarantee the security and privacy of cloud users, data are always outsourced in an encrypted form. However, encrypted data could incur much waste of cloud storage and complicate data sharing among authorized users. We are still facing challenges on encrypted data storage and management with deduplication. Traditional deduplication schemes always focus on specific application scenarios, in which the deduplication is completely controlled by either data owners or cloud servers. They cannot flexibly satisfy various demands of data owners according to the level of data sensitivity. In this paper, we propose a heterogeneous data storage management scheme, which flexibly offers both deduplication management and access control at the same time across multiple Cloud Service Providers (CSPs). We evaluate its performance with security analysis, comparison and implementation. The results show its security, effectiveness and efficiency towards potential practical usage.
