 Abstract

The present study has been undertaken to assess knowledge score regarding care of dialysis patients with renal insufficiency among nursing officers by self-instructional module in JK hospital, Kolar road, Bhopal, M.P. The research design adopted for the study was pre- experimental in nature. 40 nursing officers were selected by non-probability convenient sampling technique. The tool for the study was self-structured knowledge questionnaire which consists of two parts-PART- I consisted questions related to Socio-demographic data; PART-II consisted of self -structured knowledge questionnaire to assess the knowledge score regarding care of dialysis patients with renal insufficiency among nursing officers. The data were analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistical methods. The most significant finding was that 10% of nursing officers were having average knowledge regarding care of dialysis patients with renal insufficiency whereas 90% had good knowledge after post-test.

 Abstract

Abstract Present work is carried out with the objective to study antibacterial activity of medicinal plants of Purna river basin saline tract. For this purpose, aqueous, ethanol and acetone extract of leaves of plants Acacia arabica, Aegle marmelos, Azadirachta indica, Eucalyptus globules and Justicia adhatoda were prepared. The antibacterial activity of aabove extracts were tested against pathogen Staphylococcus aureus (MTCC96), Escherichia coli (MTCC443), Salmonella typhi (MTCC734) and Klebsiella pneumonia (MTCC2653) by using agar diffusion method. Results of the study indicated that the traditionally used medicinal plants in saline tract of Purna river basin have effective antimicrobial properties and are potential against bacterial pathogens S. aureus, E. coli and S. typhi. Among these plants the leaves extract of Acacia arabica, Azadirachta indica, Eucalyptus globules.

 Abstract

On looking carefully, we will find that many conventional Indian art and its forms are unnoticed. As a matter of fact, most folks do not even acknowledge the existence of many Indian forms of art! The cost of making handcrafted merchandise is higher than the price of machine-cut merchandise. For obvious purposes, the distinction is. Handcrafted products require a niche and professional labor, making them distinctive. Udaipur, one of Rajasthan's most prominent towns, is very famous for its lakes and palaces. This town has a heritage craft that will make everyone fall in love with Thikri art. As "Thikri" or mirror inlay or glass mosaic, the art of inlaying hand-cut items of mirrors mistreating diamond scalpels into good shapes and arranged into frescos on the ceiling and even the walls to render geometric reflected mosaic patterns is known. As a culture, the lack of support from our side makes it extremely troublesome for the artisans to continue their efforts; they are struggling to achieve their goals. Governmental and non-governmental organizations need to put strenuous efforts to make this art more recognizable. Integrated cluster development approach can play big role for the survival and sustenance of this beautiful art.

 Abstract

Covid-19, the global pandemic outbreak, has led to worldwide closure of institutions of higher education, including India. This complete and continuous lockdown has not only affected the social order of the country but has also changed the education system. The Post Covid-19 scenario has radically changed the whole teaching-learning process, in addition to the student-teacher relationship with virtual classrooms across distances by adopting modes of Information and Communication Technology, on various connectivity platforms. Technology has always remained a part and parcel of teaching environment but the teaching-learning patterns are constantly redefined in response to the challenges posed by the global forces. Although, the concept of online teaching or E-learning is not new; it is perhaps the biggest challenge amidst global Corona crisis, especially in India. Thus, this paper throws light on the impact of Covid-19 on the higher education system. This paper is divided into different sections in order to provide a brief overview of what is E-learning, different modes of communication used in E-learning and inter-relationship between Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and the new teaching-learning process. The paper further tries to cover constraints related to E-learning and explore the ways in which the conventional teaching can be synchronized with the unconventional liquid or blended learning for the benefit of both the students as well as the teachers in higher education system, especially in India.

 Abstract

Child labor is a big challenge for us because upbringings of children require care and attention. They are future of our country. Scholars argued that banning child labor and their immediate withdrawal from the labor market at any cost would be sufficient to eradicate it, while opponents found pervasive effect of increasing it further. Therefore, ban on child labor is an important issue and to further the research it requires more investigations. In this study we conducted a survey of 327 households and obtained qualitative data through interview schedule with the local Anchal Prodhan, Police Officer, Head Master, Post Master, Officers, respectable persons of the locality to find out the justifications for its banning. Using simple statistical tools, we found that parents and children are in favor of combining work with study and they straight away rejected legislative ban on child labor for their survival and earning livelihood, thereby contributing to the answer of harsh question. The important implications of this study is for the policy makers to understand the issues of child labor, whether its ban would be right?

 Abstract

The concrete-filled steel columns are gain importance in several applications like buildings, shopping malls, bridges, and heavy apartment structures, etc. The steel box as a part of a composite column completely encases the concrete core so that the ductility of the encased concrete core is highly improved enhances the seismic- resistant property. The enhancement of concrete-filled steel columns in structural properties is due to the composite action between the constituent elements. The main objective of the study is to investigate the behavior of hollow, Plain Cement Concrete (PCC), and Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete (SFRC) in-filled medium columns subjected to axial and eccentric loads. It was evaluated experimentally and compared to numerical analysis via Ansys.

 Abstract

Background: Facial nerve palsy is an uncommon but significant complication of ORL disorders; surgical eradication of disease is the most viable way to overcome Facial Palsy. Method: Out of 26, 16 had left side facial palsy 10 had right side palsy associated with ORL disorders. CT scan, Routine Blood examination was carried out to know any other pathologies. It was LMN (Lower motor Neuron) grade-2 type palsy. Otoscopic examination was done to rule out, tympanic membrane perforation, suppuration, Herpes Zoster. Results: 12 (46.1%) Otolgia, 5 (19.2%) impaired hearing, 4 (15.3%) were ear discharge were major clinical manifestation, 8 (30.7%) CSOM, 8 (30.7%) Otitis, Media 3 (11.5%) AoM, 3 (11.5%) Otitis externa were major clinical findings. Conclusion: These findings which cause facial nerve palsy require surgical corrections and onset of antibiotic treatment. Hence this pragmatic approach will help the ENT surgeons for efficient approach.

 Abstract

In rural India, e-commerce is thriving and represents booming development. Their success relies on the perception of the business, the amount of buyers and the provision of different characteristics. In the future of e-commerce in Rural India, this paper provides an effect of digital India; it reflects the different opportunities for manufacturers, clients, e-commerce industries and factors that affect confidence in rural Indians. We found that in the developing sector, total e-commerce would dramatically grow in the coming years. Though internet or broadband penetration in rural areas is lower compared to urban areas, Digital India's dream project by the government can monitor or address this gap that increases the mass of customers in the world of e-commerce by spreading business utilizing social commerce (Facebook Commerce, Twitter Commerce), mobile commerce, etc. with the implementation of Digital India project features such as The integration of the project E-Commerce and Modern India allows it possible for communication to be made in seconds anywhere in the world. Businesses give themselves up to the global economy by internet trade. Moving forward, Indians should refer to initiatives as Digital India Vision, Digital Bharat Vision, or Digital Hindustan Vision. This paper discusses India's existing internet usage scenario, how the Digital India government campaign will link the maximum number of rural Indians to the world through the Internet and how e-commerce companies will turn this mass of rural Indians to trade.
