Turning at high speeds has emerged as a key manufacturing technology in machining of different metals and alloys. Turning at high speed is performed on the order of five to ten times the conventional cutting speed. It is advantageous in many ways like reduction in cutting forces and temperature, low power consumption, improvement in surface finish, high MRR, better dimensional accuracy and better part quality [1, 2]. In order to achieve the quality output, it is necessary to optimize the process parameters (like speed, feed, depth of cut, nose radius) during the high speed machining of alloy. The study applies Taguchi's design of experiment methodology and grey relational analysis to optimize the process parameters in turning aluminum alloy AA7075-T6 material, a high strength aluminum alloy used for aerospace application using coated carbide insert under dry environment condition and having four type insert nose radius such as 0.2, 0.4, 0.8, 1.2 mm. Experiment have been carried out based on L16 standard orthogonal array design with four process parameters namely cutting speed, feed rate , Depth of cut and nose radius for surface roughness and Material removal rate

Free space optics is a potential communication technology that has many advantages such as high speed and large bandwidth. In this work, a cost effective spectrum sliced free space optical communication system is proposed by employing spectrum broadening in highly nonlinear fiber (HNLF). Self phase modulation is used to widen the narrow optical carrier spectrum of laser source and SPM generates high power spectrum slices that are well competent to support 2.5 Gbps data speed. Furthermore, in order to analyze the system, different modulation formats such as compressed spectrum return to zero (CSRZ), return to zero and non return to zero are incorporated. Various physical parameters such as antenna diameters and beam divergence effects are also studied in terms of Q factor and BER.

The IoT concept enables creation of the smart environments connecting with the citizens and shaping the cities around the world by offering a range of smart services with aim to increase the quality of life in the cities. Connecting the environments with people requires an interface offering a rich user experience able to engage and present the relevant information that fulfills the purpose of the service. The main goal is to raise community awareness of the importance of the environmental issues, in particular the air quality and effect on the human health of the air pollution. This task requires innovative methodologies and several approaches in attracting large participation and involvement in the activities related to these concerns. It is therefore important to present solutions that will be innovative, engaging and at the same time educational. The implementation of IoT concept is fulfilled by using ARM CORTEX which will enable faster computations of the data collected from the virtual cloud space using ADAFruit Server. This allows instructions and data accesses to take place at the same time, and as a result of this, the performance of the processor increases because data accesses do not affect the instruction pipeline. Thus The ARM subsystem will support IoT market growth by reducing development risk and enabling companies to quickly create products. Companies expected to license the subsystem include analog sensor makers and companies looking to add IoT connectivity to existing designs.

This paper presents a novel approach to object detection using deep convolutional neural networks and Big Data. The aim is to build an accurate, fast and reliable object detection system, which is a vital element of an autonomous robotic vision platform; it is a key element for object estimation and automated event based systems. Recent work in deep neural networks has led to the development of a state-of-the-art object detector termed Faster Region-based CNN (Mask R-CNN). This model, through transfer learning, for the task of object detection using imagery obtained from two modalities: color (RGB) and Near-Infrared (NIR). Early and late fusion methods are explored for combining the multi-modal (RGB and NIR) information. This leads to a novel multi-modal masked R-CNN model, which achieves state-of-the-art results compared to prior work with the F1 score, which takes into account both precision and recall performances improving from 0.781 to 0.812 for the detection of solid metal objects. In addition to improved accuracy, this approach is also much quicker to deploy for new objects, as it requires bounding box annotation rather than pixel-level annotation (annotating bounding boxes is approximately an order of magnitude quicker to perform). The model is retrained to perform the detection of four types of metal objects, with the entire process taking four hours to annotate and train the new model per solid block. A key benefit of Deep Learning is the analysis and learning of massive amounts of unsupervised data, making it a valuable tool for Big Data Analytics where raw data is largely unlabeled and un-categorized. In the present study, we explore how Deep Learning can be utilized for addressing some important problems in Big Data Analytics, including extracting complex patterns from massive volumes of data, semantic indexing, data tagging, fast information retrieval, and simplifying discriminative tasks.

In this paper, design and implementation of area optimized aes based on fpga is proposed. The increasing need for protecting data communication in computer networks has led to development of several cryptography algorithms. The Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is a computer security standard issued by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intended for protecting electronic data. Its specification is defined in Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) Publication 197. The AES cryptography algorithm can be used to encrypt/decrypt blocks of 128 bits and is capable of using cipher keys of 128 bits wide (AES128). In this project, a hardware implementation of the AES128 encryption algorithm was proposed. A unique feature of the proposed pipelined design is that the round keys, which are consumed during different iterations of encryption, are generated in parallel with the encryption process. This lowers the delay associated with each round of encryption and reduces the overall encryption delay of a plaintext block. This leads to an increase in the message encryption throughput.

Processing of the large amount of data their storage and retrieval in the cloud had became a major challenge in the cloud computing environment. In this paper we explore a semantic Search method for processing the large scale data volumes in the cloud. We use the hashing algorithms and flat structured addressing schemes for the retrieval of the data by using the semantic queries. Existing distributed storage frameworks for the most part neglect to offer a sufficient capacity for the semantic inquiries. To address this problem, we propose a near-real-time and cost-effective searchable data analytics methodology, called FAST. The idea behind FAST is to explore and exploit the semantic correlation within and among datasets via correlation-aware hashing and manageable flat-structured addressing to significantly reduce the processing latency, while incurring acceptably small loss of data-search accuracy. The near-real-time property of FAST enables rapid identification of correlated files and the significant narrowing of the scope of data to be processed. FAST supports several types of data analytics, which can be implemented in existing searchable storage systems. The close constant property of FAST empowers quick recognizable proof of connected records and the huge narrowing of the extent of information to be prepared. Here the data is processed by using the caching techniques and the data is retrieved by using the semantic query. This technique reduces the time delay for the retrieval of the data from the large scale storage systems.

The main contribution of this paper is to propose a prototype design of hardware and software architecture for a railway condition monitoring system. In the range of recent years, sensing technologies has expanded widely, whereas sensor devices have become cheaper. This led to rapid expansion in condition monitoring of systems, structures, vehicles, and machinery that are using sensors. Wireless sensor networks can now be used for monitoring the railway infrastructure such as bridges, rail tracks, track beds, and many track equipment along with vehicle health monitoring such as chassis, bogies, wheels and wagons. The wireless sensors network technology for monitoring in the railway industry is used for analyzing systems, structures, vehicles, and machinery. Main focus is on practical engineering solutions, identification of sensor configurations and network topologies.
