The Indian banking sector has been facing serious problems of raising Non- Performing Assets (NPAs). The NPAs growth has a direct impact on profitability of banks. Non- performing assets are one of the major concerns for scheduled commercial banks in India. The recommendations of Narasimham committee and Verma committee, some steps have been taken to solve the problem of old NPAs in the balance sheets of the banks. It continues to be expressed from every corner that there has rarely been any systematic evaluation of the best way of tackling the problem. There seems to be no unanimity in the proper policies to be followed in resolving this problem. NPAs reflect the performance of banks. A high level of NPAs suggests high probability of a large number of credit defaults that affect the profitability and net-worth of banks and also erodes the value of the asset. NPAs affect the liquidity and profitability, in addition to posing threat on quality of asset and survival of banks. The problem of NPAs is not only affecting the banks but also the whole economy. In fact high level of NPAs in Indian banks is nothing but a reflection of the state of health of the industry and trade. It is necessary to trim down NPAs to improve the financial health in the banking system. An attempt is made in this paper to understand NPA, the status and trend of NPAs in Indian Scheduled commercial banks, The factors contributing to NPAs, reasons for high impact of NPAs on Scheduled commercial banks in India and recovery of NPAS through various channels

India is pigeonholed by more ethnic and religious groups as compared to other countries of the world. Many intellectuals viewed that India is a captivating country where people of many different communities and religions live together in harmony. Indian Population is polygenetic and is an astonishing merger of various races and cultures. Besides, numerous castes, there are eight "major" religions, 15-odd languages spoken in various dialects and a substantial number of tribes and sects. Politics is the science of government and that part of ethics which has to do with the regulation and government of a nation or state, the preservation of its safety, peace, and prosperity, the defense of its existence and rights against foreign control or conquest, the augmentation of its strength and resources, and the protection of its citizens in their rights, with the preservation and improvement of their morals.

The demand of cloud computing has been increasing in all kinds of IT industry. Cloud computing has a lot of benefits and hence it is necessary to make full use of it in order to be competitive globally. In this study we find out the issues and challenges that we face while applying cloud computing to higher education institutes in Middle East. The issues vary from security to technological readiness of an organization and also discusses the lack of standardization in the Cloud Computing. Some study is also done on the application of cloud computing in other educational institutes around the world and how they tackled the issues to achieve successful cloud adoption. The major issues that need to be addressed before using cloud computing in higher education institutes in Middle East will be outlined in this paper.

ABSTRACT: McFarland standard is a specific scale for the concentration of bacteria /ml. It is used to approximate the number of microbial cells in the liquid suspension. The aim of the present study is to evaluate some clinically important bacterial inoculums with that compared to 0.5 McFarland standard and the bacterial inoculums were serially diluted by 10 fold dilution and spread plated and enumerating the number of colonies by help of colony counter and size of the organisms also been measured by micrometry. The results were read. As per McFarland rule there should be 15 colonies in the 7th dilution but all the species vary 15 times to three hundred times more than the expected value because of the size and volume of the organisms the time for the division also yield across amount in the suspension so the colony dilution may differ in each setup. The present study enumerated for 12 bacterial study has brought into light that the number bacterium in given sample could not be calculated by comparing it with McFarland standard because of varying number of population from 20- 324 any for the maintained bacteria

The growth of education plays a vital role in Indian Economic growth. The scope for higher education increases with the newer technological growth. Higher education increases the intellectual growth of human power and there should be no level of degradation in the quality of education offered. The students are suffering with different fee structures followed by different institutions. The problem of finance for higher education is met by nationalized and the commercial banks through educational loan systems. The present study analyses the student satisfaction of banking services provided by commercial banks in the city of Thanjavur. It also aims to derive the relationship between service, quality, customer satisfaction and loyalty. The study also reveals the factors that induce the students to avail loans from commercial banks.

Two phase boiling flows are encountered in a wide range of industrial applications such as boilers, core and steam generators in nuclear reactors, petroleum transportation, electronic cooling and various types of chemical reactors. Many of these applications involve boiling flows in conventional channels. Analysis of two phase flow systems is complicated by the appearance and disappearance of phases, discontinuous fluid properties at phase boundaries, the relative motion of the phases and mass, energy and momentum transfer between the phases. The key design issues in two phase flow boiling are variation in flow regimes, occurrence of dry out condition, flow instabilities, and understanding of heat transfer coefficient and vapourquality. Two phase flows are generally encountered with phase transformation. A simple study on a small scale panel of water wall tubes are analysed for different constant heat flux using commercial software CFD. The influence of heat flux on void fraction, enthalpy and wall temperatures of the test section are analysed and presented in this report. A study on performance of a boiler generally used in steel plants is also determined using indirect method and presented in thisreport.

Abstract: The present study was conducted to determine the morphometric characterists of 1000 freshwater fish, T.mossambicus. The experimental fish ranged from 0.50 to 150 cm and 3.00 to 350 g in length and weight respectively. The obtained correlation coefficient for different morphometric parameters was ranged between 0.40 and 1.00. There was a significant correlation between their relationships (P?0.01). Among the 13 parameters noted standard length showed high level of significant positive relationship with total length when compared to all other parameters. The different level of significance between body features of various variants reveals the possibility of segregation of variants of this experimental fish.

AIM : To determine the prevalence of Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus and Hyperlipidemia in stroke patients, 2) To identify, educate and control various risk factors associated with episodes of stroke. 3) To improve patient Adherence towards stroke risk management. METHOD : It is a prospective study design involving 150 patients which has been conducted in Mediciti Institute of Medical Sciences for 5 months i.e (January 2018-May 2018). RESULT: Out of 150 stroke patients enrolled in the study, 52% were males and 48% were females. Males are predominantly at higher risk in developing stroke than females Out of 150 patients, stroke was recorded mostly in alcoholics with 51(34%), followed by both 32(21.3%) and then smokers 16(10.6%). CONCLUSION :According to our study 114 (76%) were Hypertensives, 64(42.66%) were Hyperlipidemic and 59(39%) were diabetic. These parameters were found to be the highest in the age groups of 50-65yrs, whereas the mean age is 55yrs. With reference to the above data, it can be inferred that the common people are unaware of the prevailing risk factors in their daily life styles. Therefore a better understanding of stroke risk factors and outcome may help guide efforts at reducing the community burden of stroke.

A thorough review of literature shows that more attention has been paid to fossil planktic foraminifera from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands compared to their benthic counterparts. This paper presents a detailed account of the taxonomy of mililid (benthic) foraminifera from shallow waters off the Rocky Island of the archipelago. Thirty-eight taxa belonging to 3 superfamilies, 5 families and 12 genera were identified and their systematic paleontology is discussed with more emphasis on their nomenclatural aspects and ecology. Most of the species identified are illustrated in the form of SEM photographs.
