This study has been undertaken to investigate the awareness regarding hypertension & application of rule of halve in Bastar district of Chhattisgarh by using cross sectional observational study with the following objectives (1)to assess the awareness about hypertension & its complication among adult tribal population (2) to find the health seeking behavior of hypertension of study subjects (3) to analyze the current status of Rule of Halve of hypertension among study subjects among 25-60 years tribal, residing since 1year, data collected from November2018 to February2018 among 330 study subjects by systematic random sampling through interview method. The variables include status of awareness, knowledge and diagnosis status were used. It was found majority was hypertensive, of them 6% were known hypertensive, of them 5% was on regular treatment & 15% were control. Only 8.8% were aware about hypertension, of them 58.7% were aware by government doctors. Among aware 55.2% were having knowledge of hypertension & related complication. Study indicates, rule of halves in the place with weaker health system & equally weaker health awareness & knowledge among population.

Skin diseases are numerous and a frequently occurring health problem affecting all ages from the neonates to the elderly and cause harm in number of ways. If the cracks in the heels are deep, they can be painful, hurting when a person stands up, and they may sometimes bleed. Some wild plants and their parts are frequently used to treat these diseases. Herbal crack cream contains the extracts of the plant consists of five ingredients viz., extract of Daruharida (Berberis aristata DC.), Pashanbheda (Bergenia ligulata (Wall.) Engl.), Jivanti (Leptadenia reticulata W. & A.), kampilak (Mallotus philippensis Muell.-Arg.), Manjistha (Rubia cordifolia Linn.) were used to prepare Herbal crack cream. The main objective of the research work was to prepare and evaluate Herbal crack cream and compare with marketed Herbal crack cream. The results showed that Herbal crack cream passed all Parameters related to cream and TLC of formulated cream and extract and marketed cream showed that the tannins, flavonoids and alkaloids were found to be present in mentioned medicinal plants. Formulated herbal crack cream is as good as marketed herbal crack cream.

The purpose of the study was to find out the effects of medium velocity resistance training on speed among urban youth girls. To achieve this purpose, thirty (n=30) youth urban girls were selected as subjects at random. The age of the youth girls were ranged between 15 and 19 years. The selected subjects were further divided into two equal groups of medium velocity resistance training group and the control group of fifteen (n=15) each in strength. The training group was treated with systematic medium resistance training for twelve weeks with three sessions in a week. The speed was taken as a criterion variable for this study and 50 Meter; dash test was used as a test item. The data were collected before and immediately after the training programme. The collected data were analyzed statistically by analysis of covariance (ANCOVA). The level of significance was fixed at 0.05 in all aspects. The results of the study show that the medium velocity resistance training group had a significant improvement (p ? 0.05) in speed as compared with the control group of selected urban youth girls.

This study was aimed at analysis of potential bioactive constituents of leaves of Samanea Saman(Jacq) Merr. Methanol extracts of the leaves were subjected to thin layer chromatography (TLC), UV, IR and Gas chromatography- mass spectroscopic (GCMS) analysis. Total two compounds were isolated by preparative TLC using chloroform: ethyl acetate: methanol (5: 3: 2) as mobile phase. These compounds were found to be tannins and polyphenol by spraying with ferric chloride solution (5%) as spraying reagent. Spectroscopic data of UV, FTIR and GC-MS also confirmed that the functional groups found were matched with the tannins moiety. Analytical studies showed the presences of phenolic and tannins in Samanea saman methanolic extract (SSME).

In the era of 21st century, women empowerment has been recognized as the central issue in determining the status of women. Since many years women are playing a crucial role in the development of economy, but the sad part is that even after stepping in 21st century and having conducive globalized scenario for growth women are still fighting for their basic human rights. The Constitution of India not only grants equality to women, but also empowers the State to adopt measures of positive discrimination in favour of women. Rural development implies both the economic betterment and social development of women. Rural women are prominently engaged in agricultural and cattle management activities. Empowerment of rural women reflects a greater social transformation. The Government has various plans and policies for women. The study is an effort to explore whether the Government policies are playing significant role in the development of women in rural areas in terms of their effectiveness in terms of support services, training for employment and income generation, awareness generation and gender sensitization which play a complementary role in empowering women both socially and economically or more efforts are required at the ground level.

Concentration probability criterion and generalized classes of estimators in restricted regression model, to study two generalized families of estimators from the literature in linear regression model under exact linear constraints of parameter vector when the criterion of choice of estimators is taken to be concentration probability of estimator around the true parameter. Following small sigma asymptotic approach, the sampling distributions and the concentration probabilities of the two generalized families of estimators are derived and the efficiency is discussed with respect to the criterion of concentration probability.
