Medium Access Control (MAC) protocols play an essential role in wireless communication networks. MAC allows several users simultaneously to share a communication channel in order to achieve maximum of channel utilization with minimum of interference and collisions. Medium Access Control (MAC) protocols are needed in wireless communication networks to allow several users simultaneously to share a common medium of communication in order to gain maximum of channel utilization with minimum of interference and collisions. Various proposed schemes for MAC in Wireless Communication include assigning different inter-frame spaces (IFS), scaling the backoff contention window and assigning different frame sizes according to the traffic priorities. Thus the scheme to provide QoS aware MAC protocol should firstly supports fairness to both real time traffic having high priority and non-real time traffic having low priority. In this paper Performance Evaluation of MAC Protocols based Quality of Service in MANET is presented.

Abstract Optimal capital structure leads to value maximization in a firm. An appropriate debt equity mix is a challenge as debt being a cheaper source of capital is always attractive though it increases the financial risks of the company. Steel sector is one of the highly geared sectors in India with huge debt in its capital employed. Indian steel sector had ample opportunities to grow however, trade war, protectionism, Government apathy towards building up a mature manufacturing sector, heavy financing costs, high logistics costs, management costs, heavy taxes, disruptive global trade, international steel prices, environmental norms, digital disruption have all added to the misery of Indian steel companies. This study purports to examine whether quantum of debt capital employed has affected the financial performance of steel companies in India. Financial performance of 194 listed companies in steel sector were studied to investigate the impact of debt capital on profitability. It is observed that there is a significant relationship between financial performance and quantum of debt capital. Size of the assets and volume of sales are also important factors.

Non-Banking Finance Companies (NBFCs) have played an important role in the Indian financial system by complementing and competing with banks, and by bringing in efficiency and diversity into financial intermediation. NBFCs have evolved considerably in terms of operations, heterogeneity, asset quality and profitability, and regulatory architecture. Going forward, the growing systemic importance and interconnectedness of this sector calls for regulatory vigil. This study represents an impact of NBFC on Indian Economy. There was a total of 9680 NBFCs registered with the Reserve Bank of India as on 2022. The study is aimed to provide an holistic view of the NBFC Industry and its impact on Indian Economy. NBFC fulfills the financial gap by providing loan at a lower rate of interest. It was found that at even at the time of the economic slowdown NBFC was more profitable. The industry is not tightly regulated as there are many regulatory bodies. Hence, there was an important need to study the NBFC as the industry plays an important role in the financial Services market of India.

Dental anxiety is a multi-system reaction to a perceived threat or risk. It is a particular, subjective experience that varies from person to person. It is a typical occurrence that ranks fifth among the most generally feared circumstances for humans. In the absence of diagnosis and management, dental anxiety is likely to begin in childhood and grow with time. Understanding the level of anxiety prior to treatment and the variables that contribute to it will enable the dentist to recognise the anxious child and give better anxiety management and a more enjoyable experience. This paper focuses on the development of a new self-reported scale for the assessment of dental anxiety in children

Construction projects are found to suffer various problems and complex factors such as cost, duration, quality safety, management etc. Construction industry has been growing remarkably during the past several years. However, the most hazardous worksites in the country may be found in this industry. Construction is a high hazard industry that usually comprises of a wide range of activities that may even involve construction, alteration, and repair too. Construction workers engage in many activities that would make them exposed to very serious hazards, such as falling from rooftops, unguarded machinery, being struck by heavy construction equipment, electrocutions, silica dust, asbestos, fire, trench collapse etc. Each project shall have a safety management system in place that outlines the policies, processes, instruction, and documentation that will serve to establish the culture of safety and understanding for all tiers involved on the project. It is thus necessary to find out the type of hazards that are common on site so as to suggest ways to minimize the same. Nowadays like most other countries in the world automation and digitalization is introduced in construction sector too that make construction activity much more faster and safer. The scope of a fully digitalized construction sector is to be analysed so as to implement safety at job site.

Abstract: The Rapti River is the most important left-bank tributary of the Ghaghra. The Rapti rises south of a prominent E-W ridgeline midway between the western Dhaulagiri Himalaya and the Mahabharat Range in Nepal at an elevation of about 3048 m. The Dundwa range, a subrange of the Shiwaliks in western Nepal, diverts the Rapti for some 100 km west before the river resumes its southward course towards the Ganga. After flowing through Nepal, it enters eastern Uttar Pradesh in Chanda Pargana, east of the Kundwa village of Bahraich district. The flood waters of the river Rapti are being controlled by the Rapti Barrage. This is situated upstream of the Bhinga site in the district of Shravasti and is maintained by the state government. The Rapti River Basin is part of the middle Ganga plain. It is fed by numerous tributaries and affluents that drop vertically down into Rapti from Shiwalik and its foothills. The basin is a homogenous accretional plain of older and newer alluvial deposits. Like in other tropical monsoon areas, seasonal rainfall causes inundation, floods, water logging, and severe erosion as well as large scale overbank deposition in the Rapti river basin also.

The patterns of the supply chain are shifting as a result of innovations in the digital arena and entrepreneurial endeavours, and customers of all ages and generations are being forced to use digital technologies. The purpose of the study is to investigate the digital disruptions that have been imposed on the lives of members of generation X and to determine the modes of purchase and payment that are now preferred by customers of a large PSU bank in India. A comparison is made between the during and after first wave survey and the preceding literature in order to determine whether or not the behaviour of consumers and their preferences about modes of purchase and payment have changed considerably or have changed at all. People of the poor and middle-middle classes in India, particularly members of generation X and baby boomer generations who live in smaller towns and have more faith in public sector banks than in private sector banks, are most likely to choose this bank. Even though there were some subtle changes in consumers' preferences, we found that these alterations cannot be considered a long-term shift in behaviour and are subject to change as brick-and-mortar establishments resume regular operations.
