 Abstract

DEA based CRR model is a very effective non-parametric tool to find the technical efficiency of any organisation, termed as DMU. The present study uses DEA approach to estimate technical efficiency of five private commercial banks in India based on the data for the year 2018-19. Two of the five selected banks, HDFC bank and Kotak Mahindra bank, are found to be efficient (?=1). ICICI bank, Axis bank and Federal bank are found to be inefficient based on the variables selected for the present study. The major factor resulting in poor performance of all the three banks is mismanagement of fixed assets. In case of Federal bank it is found that the input- Deposits has under-performed. Findings of the study reveal that some portion of the banks inputs are freely disposed or lost. Thus for increasing the efficiency these banks must fully utilise their inputs to gain maximum output.

 Abstract

INTRODUCTION: Despite the significant reduction in mortality from acute infarcts over the past decades thanks to monitored medical treatment and early reperfusion, a considerable hospital mortality rate persists. This is the consequence of refractory ventricular failure in the majority of cases, or of mechanical complications of the infarction. Mechanical complications include interventricular communication on septal rupture, tamponade on rupture of the free wall of the left ventricle, and acute mitral insufficiency on infarction or rupture of the papillary muscle. While these complications are rare, they have a very poor prognosis. This is why it is very important to know the clinical manifestations so as to clarify the diagnosis by echocardiography and allow urgent medical and surgical management. Interventricular communication (VIC) is caused by a rupture of the interventricular septum. It occurs in less than 0.5% of all STEMI, typically three to five days after an ischemic episode which is most often inaugural and extensive. The main risk factors for postinfarction VIC are advanced age, lack of revascularization and female sex. Over 70% of patients with postinfarction VIC die in hospital, and over 90% within one year. RESULT: Our patient presented with an anginal recurrence of infractoid chest pain with stage III dyspnea of NYHA with on the ECG a persistent elevation of the ST segment in the anteroseptoapical and negative T waves in the extended anterior, on the ETT LV dysfunction with disturbed segmental kinetics, estimated LVEF of 20%, enormous aneurysm of the apex and adjacent segments, and restrictive muscle VIC. Due to the hemodynamic stability, the patient underwent postponed surgery for 6 weeks. CONCLUSION: The association of VIC and LV infarction is a rare entity and usually occurs within two weeks of an MI. However, and what is the case with our patient, these complications can occur several weeks later. Rapid diagnosis and urgent surgical management significantly improve patient prognosis

 Abstract

The greatness of any nation depends largely on the system of education that is used to nurture its talent from within. With the digital era taking the spotlight, and the world rapidly reforming into a global village, it is now quintessential that a spirit of healthy competitiveness be inculcated in the budding minds of this country. While trying to remodel and upgrade the education system, a key issue is that of quality of education processes in the country. Needs and expectations of the society are changing very fast and the quality of higher education requires to be sustained at the desired level. Information technologies help in promoting opportunities of knowledge sharing throughout the world. These can help the teachers and students having up-to-date information and knowledge. Accurate and right information is necessary for effective teaching and learning; and information technologies (Haag, 1998; p.10) are set of tools that can help provide the right people with the right information at the right time. Students are independent and they can make best decisions possible about their studies, learning time, place and resources. Students are able to work in collaborative and interactive learning environments effectively communicating, sharing information and exchanging ideas and learning experiences with all in the environment. This paper discuss the role of Information technology in education system. I intend to put forward some challenges and suggestions.

 Abstract

A study was carried out to evaluate the effects of blends of swine manure (SM) with sandy soil (SS) on the early growth of tomatoes [Lycopersion esculentum mills] from July to September, 2015. Swine manure was mixed with SS at the rate of 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100% respectively on volume/volume basis of the dry materials. The treatments were 100% SS, 75% SS+25% SM, 50% SS+50% SM, and 100% SM. The five treatments were laid out in a completely randomized design and replicated three times. Inclusion of SM in SS significantly improved the level of seedling emergence, number of leaves per plant, plants height and total biomass of tomato seedlings. Fifty and 75% levels of inclusion of SM had similar effects on most growth attributes of tomatoes seedlings; the use of 50% SM and 50% SS was the optimum in this study. An equal volume of SS and SM is suggested as the medium for producing vigorous tomato seedlings in Asaba. Seedlings raised in 50% SS+50% SM had 54.8% more seedlings emergence at ten days after sowing and 248.1% taller at six weeks after sowing relative to the ones raised in 100% SS. It is recommendation that a number of rates of less than 50% of SM be tested with SS to see if any of these rates will give similar result with 50% SM inclusion.

 Abstract

The Present paper is an effort to focus on the concept of multiculturism in the novels of Paulo Coelho. Paulo Coelho himself is a literary phenomenon that moves beyond the culture of origin (Damrosch 197) and has become a permanent resident in the philosophy and logic of readers through his universal language. The purpose is to explore Coelhos rhetorical narrative popularity and to understand his cognitive theory about how readers across the planet belonging to different genres, culture and age relate themselves to his narratives. The diversified cultural phenomenon that projects the contact zones between the reader and Paulo Coelho leads towards the unique cultural hybridization. Most of his works have cosmopolitan characters with cosmopolitan thought process. This hybrid cultural nexus with his readers led Coelho to sold 350 million copies and translations in more than 80 languages. The frequency and wavelength affinity of thoughts and ideas of Paulo Coelho with his readers across the world is not less than a miracle as how come a Brazilian writer ,writing in Portuguese, resonates with peoples logic and emotions
