 Abstract

Dyeing of textiles impart aesthetic appearance to the apparels. Around 90% of textiles were dyed for various reasons. Out of 90%, majority of textiles are dyed with synthetic dyes due to its good all round fastness properties. Due to the global warming, the people try to go back to the natural dyeing methods. But, the natural dyes are poor in fastness properties and the colours available in natural dyeing is also limited. The synthetic dyes used in industry create lots of issues like, environmental issues and colour removal in effluent. Nowadays, the development of natural dyes are enormous, every day, the new natural dyes are invented. In this paper, various natural dyes extracted from the bark of the trees, Pinus Brutia Ten, Mangrove tree, Eucalyptus camaldulensis tree, Walnut tree, Albizia Lebbeck (Siris tree), Terminalia arjuna (Marutha Maram) are described.

 Abstract

Water is one of the most important substances on earth. The importance of water in our diet is apparent as it helps the body to perform specific metabolic tasks and regulates our body temperature; moreover, water is unique as its density is similar to that of cell protoplasm. There is no doubt that water is everywhere and it is very important to our Earth and the life inhabiting it. Water also acts as the vector for many diseases caused by bacteria, viruses, protozoa and worms. For water to be regarded as potable, it must be free from pathogens. It must not contain any other noxious substances such as chemical hazards including pesticides, insecticides or herbicides, artificial fertilizers or heavy metal ions. It should not have any unpleasant odor or taste. The diseases spreading through contaminated water are known as waterborne diseases. More than 2 million people die each year from diseases such as Cholera, Typhoid, and Dysentery that are spread by contaminated water or by a lack of water for hygiene. Waterborne pathogens are a leading cause of disease and death worldwide. Routine microbiological testing of drinking water supplies, recreational waters and environmental waters is essential for the protection of public health. The main work done under this experiment of microbial analysis was to detect different bacteria and fungi. Water samples from four different regions were collected and analyses. The four different regions were: Region I- Shrinagar extension and Region II-Marimata in Indore area. Hence, it is worth mentioning here that the water of Region III is more potable as compared to that of other region in terms of microbes present in it.

 Abstract

This paper is concerned with a three species food chain model whose population interacts with a mutualist. Holling type II functional response is considered to model the interactions between the prey and middle predator and the interaction between the middle predator and top predator is assumed to be governed by ratio dependent functional response. The mutualism is facultative in which mutualism occurs with the prey population, modeled by system of four autonomous ordinary differential equations. Conditions of the boundedness of system are established. Existence of equilibrium point and stability analysis of model is carried out by using usual theory of ordinary differential equations. It is found that if the maximal growth rateof the top predator is less than the death rate then top predator face extinction. Also we obtained the conditions that influence the persistence of system. Furthermore global stability of the system is shown graphically. It has been observed from numerical simulations that in the presence of mutualist population, prey increases and hence population of predator also increases, but in the absence of mutualism, population of prey decreases and hence predators population also decreases.

 Abstract

Right from the conceptualization of societal norms and regulations, culture has dominated the psychology of individuals. It can be interpreted as a sum of rituals, norms and values that are shared by persons belonging to a society and are passed on from one generation to another. By contemplating this fact, it becomes extremely vital to investigate that in a country like India which is a boon of rich cultural heritage, how efficiently prominent determinants form cultural norms so that Indian retail merchandisers can formulate their marketing policies accordingly and satisfy their consumers through profitable deals. As culture makes up the mentalities of individuals, it also impacts their buying behavior regarding the goods or services they purchase from the retail market. This paper primarily explores the determinants of culture and the extent to which they impact consumer buying behavior as the retail market is expanding greatly due to which, it has become significant to understand the psychology of consumers. The data was collected by self-structured questionnaires that were filled by 400 respondents belonging to the city of Agra. Initially, the researcher justified the relevance of four determinants of culture comprising of Gender, Age, Educational Status and Religion through t-test and one way ANOVA. In order to investigate the relationship between these determinants and consumer buying behavior, step-wise regression analysis was conducted which resulted in justifying that none of the determinants established a significant relationship with consumer buying behavior.
