ESG reporting and disclosure practices are the buzzing terms in the Indian corporate sector occupying the place after corporate governance (CG) and corporate social responsibility (CSR). ESG is a broader concept than CG and CSR, wherein ESG practices include corporate's practices relating to Environmental (E), Social (S) & Governance (G) and disclosure of the same by the corporate world. Though sustainability and ESG reporting are used interchangeably, ESG is more specific to three pillars in terms of corporate efficiency which provide augmented risk-adjusted returns. Major stock exchanges worldwide have begun constructing ESG based indices constituting those companies that comply with specific ESG criteria. Mutual Funds in India have introduced ESG based schemes for investors for better long-term returns. SBI Mutual Fund has renamed its widely popular and most successful equity scheme, SBI Magnum Equity into SBI Magnum Equity ESG fund. Other fund houses such as Quantum, Axis, and ICICI Mutual Funds have also introduced ESG based equity schemes. In India, BSE and NSE as well, have ESG based indices. BSE has S&P BSE 100 ESG Index, whereas NSE has Nifty 100 ESG Index, Nifty 100 Enhanced ESG, and & Nifty 100 ESG Sector Leaders. ESG indices are constructed based on the criterion of disclosure related to E, S & G practices and the question here arises is, whether these ESG indices are efficient in terms of information absorption by the market. The present study has considered all three ESG indices of NSE for a period of six months each before and after the imposition of lockdown in India. To analyze the efficiency of these indices Hurst exponent has been calculated for two periods and compared with Nifty 50 & Nifty 100 indices. The results have shown that ESG indices are more efficient in the post-Covid than the pre-Covid period, which gives an impression that investors are leaned towards ESG indices post math of Covid. In other words, the ESG portfolio can be taken as Covid free portfolio.

This paper investigates accessibility, use and challenges of library Electronic(e) Information Resources (EIRs). It highlights the types, purpose of use, frequency of use, source of awareness, places of accessibility by final year students, benefits, challenges and proffered solutions on the available library Electronic(e-) Information Resources (EIRs). A total of 66 respondents were surveyed at the University of Jos using a self-designed questionnaire as data collection instrument. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics such as tables, mean, standard deviation and percentages. Hypotheses were tested and results showed that there is a positive, moderate significant relationship between the purpose of utilization and satisfaction of final year students of Faculty of Natural Sciences of Electronic information resources in University of Jos library (r = 0.65, df = 65, p<0.05). Hence hypothesis 1 was rejected. Also, there was no significant difference in the use of Electronic Information Resources between male and female final year students of Faculty of Natural Sciences (t = 0.91, df = 64, p>0.05). Hence hypothesis 2 was not rejected. Furthermore, findings revealed that databases and internet resources were the main type of e-information resources identified by respondents and majority use the e-resources for research. The frequency of use is occasionally inside the university of Jos Library. poor awareness, the need for username and password to access some, amongst others were reported as challenges to the use of EIRs by final year students. The study offered recommendations as ways of enhancing maximum use of EIRs for prompt academic excellence and information services to final year students of Faculty of Natural Sciences in University of Jos Library.

Democracy is regarded if not the best but a better option for humanity to create a socially and politically civilized society. The best option for the rule is not yet invented by political scientists. Hence democracy remains to be the only best option available before modern humans. Indeed, the same democracy produced great democrat like Abraham Lincoln as well as the worst kind of dictator like Hitler. Therefore, Ambedkar conceived a kind of democracy that could make India a vibrant, dynamic nation producing rule for the people with elements of social equality and equal opportunities under the largely state-controlled economy along with reasonable space for private players.

ABSTRACT Breast cancer is the serious health concern in India causing the highest mortality rate in females, which occurs due to uncontrolled cell division and can be metastasize to other parts of the human body.Natural products are important leads in drug discovery. The search for effective plant-derived anticancer agents or their synthetic analogues has continued to be of interest to biologists and chemists for a long time. We investigated the, cytotoxicity and anticancer activity of new synthetic 4-Hydroxypropiophenone (4-HPPP) was tested against breast cancer cell line MCF-7. Cytotoxicity was examined using MTT assay. The ability to induce apoptosis and changes in mitochondrial membrane potential, levels of reactive oxygen species and comet Assay.Based on the results, we determined the effective dose of 4-HPPP as 100?M/ml for 24 hr. Cytotoxicity effects of 4-HPPP was confirmed by treatment of MCF-7cell with IC50 concentration of 4-HPPP resulted in sequences of events marked by the enhance the apoptosis accompanied by loss of cell viability, modulation of reactive oxygen species and cell cycle arrest through the induction of G0/G1 phase arrest on MCF-7cells. These findings show that the synthetic 4-HPPP, displays potential to be further explored in the development of new anticancer agents.

The rapid depletion of fossil fuel reserves, alternate and sustainable energy resources are being sought in order to maintain the growing global energy requirements of the well researched alternative sources include bio-fuels, solar, wind, hydro and geo-thermal energy. Hydrokinetic energy from flow of rivers, streams and artificial water channels are considered to be a viable resource. One promising new technology to overcome these problems is the hydroelectric power extraction system based on energy harvesting from flow induced vibration, the flow here can be both liquid flow as well as air flow. There are three main types of energy harvesting from vortex induced vibrations (VIV) of bluff bodies, flutter energy harvesting system and energy harvesting with Helmholtz resonators. The vortex induced vibration (VIV) Based power generating system is a new concept in power generation from fluid flow in occasions, rivers and streams.
