 Abstract

The study assessed the prevalence of anaemia and compared the effectiveness of fresh gooseberry juice and elemental iron supplementation Vs elemental iron supplementation on haemoglobin level among adolescent girls with anaemia. A total of 60 samples (30+30) were selected by probability simple random sampling technique. The study instrument used was as follows: demographic and clinical data, prevalence scale of anaemia and assessment of haemoglobin level. The tools were administered after obtaining the administrative and informed consent. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. It was inferred that the administration of fresh gooseberry juice and elemental iron supplementation for anaemia, 80% of the adolescent girls were highly satisfied and 20% of them were satisfied and none of them were dissatisfied.

 Abstract

In many underdeveloped countries, sustainable development offers a different path from conventional economic growth to achieve a better quality of life. Such an alternative approach is the pursuit of ecotourism instead of conventional tourism. Ecotourism focuses on preserving nature and culture and on economic and cultural benefits accruing to the local communities. Thus, this study investigated how to manage a successful ecotourism project in Bwiam, The Gambia. Descriptive research was carried out by developing questionnaires and distributing them online on different social media platforms. The collected data were coded and analyzed using IBM SPSS v26. The findings show that a large portion of the respondents attended elementary school with the age range from 21 to 30. The estimation of Cronbach alpha is 0.652 for eight things which is far above 0.6 in Table 3. The regression model in Table 5 shows that the F value is substantial at 12.914 with significance of P = 0.000.

 Abstract

The primary aim of the present research was to find out the effect of facing the competitive exams and degree qualifications on resilience among college students. Further, the study was conducted to find out the effect of competitive exam faced (competitive exam attempted and not attempted) by college students and the degree qualification (U.G and P.G.) of college students on resilience and also to find out the Interaction effect of competitive exam faced versus degree qualification on resilience. For this purpose, Annalaxmi Narayanan's resilience scale was used to collect the data. F ratio and 2x2 factorial research design were used to analyze the. A total Sample comprising of 120 various college students from Kolhapur was selected by using a stratified sampling method. The results indicate that there was a significant effect of competitive exams faced by college students on resilience.

 Abstract

: Most of the Deep Neural Network models like RNN and CNN are data hungry models. We may or may not have the huge dataset available to train those models. Thus, we require a model or an architecture which can use the pre-trained model to train the new model, which comparatively reduces the training time and gives good accuracy. The proposed model is a Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) based model that is obtained by using few-shot transfer learning with a simple word embedding model to train the given DBPEDIA dataset. With a large DBPEDIA dataset available, the proposed CNN based model aims to extract the local and position-invariant features comparatively faster than the RNN based model. The few shot transfer learning aims to recognize concepts from the pre-trained word embedded models and extracts some common knowledge from the sequence of input data of training dataset. The few-shot transfer learning mechanism leverage the knowledge from the common source domains to special target domain with few data supporting the CNN model to extract the relevant feature efficiently. Thus, the proposed model, Few-Shot Transfer Learning based on CNN model, exhibits significant classification performance compared to other alternative models.

 Abstract

This research under the title of effects of integrated weed management on green forage yield of Oats ( Avena sativa L. ) had carried out in the research farm of Lovely Professional University during winter season 2019-2020 to insure the effects of integrated weed management on the growth, yield and quality parameters of Oats. This research work was carried out in Randomized Block Design (RBD) which contained nine treatments replicated three times. The treatments included of various weed control techniques like weedy check (control), weed free check, hand weeding at 25 days after sowing, hand hoeing at 25 days after sowing, pre-emergence application of Pendimethalin @ 0.75 kg a.i. ha-1 + one hand weeding at 40 days after sowing, post emergence application of 2-4-D @ 0.75 kg a.i. ha -1 at 21 days after sowing + one hand weeding at 35 days after sowing, post emergence metsulfuron methyl @ 0.004 kg a.i. ha -1 at 21 days after sowing + one hand weeding at 35 days after sowing, post emergence application of 2-4-D @ 0.75 kg a.i. ha -1 at 21 days after sowing + one hand hoeing at 35 days after sowing and post emergence metsulfuron methyl @ 0.004 kg a.i. ha -1 at 21 days after sowing + hand hoeing at 35 days after sowing. During this research the variety of oats was Kent which was sown by drilling method in the rows with the space of 30 cm and depth of 1-2 cm on a flatbed in plot size of 5m x 3m. Weed free check was considered preferable in all of the growth and yield parameters traced by Pre-emergence application of pendimethalin @ 0.75 kg a.i. ha-1 + one hand weeding at 35 DAS and post emergence application of Atrazine @ 0.75 kg a.i ha -1 at 21 DAS + one hand weeding at 35 DAS. The above detailed treatments in that regularity seize the maximum to minimum weed control efficiency and minimum to maximum weed index corresponding to dry matter of the weeds and forage product, respectively. According to green forage yield, weed free check confirmed highest among all the treatments and traced by Post emergence application of metsulfuron methyl @ 0.004 kg a.i. ha-1 at 21 DAS + one hand weeding at 35 DAS.

 Abstract

Background: Hypertension represents the major health problem primarily because of its role in contributing to the initiation and progression of major cardiovascular diseases. The aim of the present study was to determine the existing practice of prescribing pattern of Anti Hypertensive medication in tertiary care hospital in prospective of standard treatment of guidelines. Methods and materials: A hospital based prospective observational study on Anti Hypertensive agent prescriptions was carried out among patients who were above 20 years of age and Inpatients in the tertiary care corporate hospital. The total of 270 prescriptions of patients suffering from hypertension were included. The collected data were sorted and analyzed on the basis of demographic characteristics and co-morbidities. Results: It was a prospective observational study in which 270 patients were selected. The most commonly prescribed Antihypertensive drugs in our study was telmisartan and least prescribed was spironolactone, diltiazem and indapamide. The drugs were prescribed as mono therapy, dual therapy, triple therapy and poly therapy. Mono therapy of about (51%) was most frequently prescribed and Poly therapy was least prescribed of about (7%). Conclusion: The study revealed that the prevalence of hypertension was predominantly more in male patients than in female patients. Present study represents the current prescribing trend of antihypertensive agents. Angiotensin receptor blockers were the most frequently prescribed class of drug in monotherapy. Index Terms: ACE inhibitors, Beta blockers, Calcium channel blockers, Diuretics, Hypertension.
