 Abstract

In the persuasion of the aim of reducing health problems, eliminating potential risks, and treating sick people, healthcare services inevitably create waste which itself may be hazardous to health. A Pre experimental (One group pre-test post-test) study was conducted to assess the knowledge and identify the practices of B.Sc Nursing 2nd yr students on Bio medical waste management after their clinical posting in Teerthanker Parsavnath College of Nursing (TMU) Amroha, Moradabad Utter Pradesh.

Social Responsibility is the moral and ethical responsibility of every business organization as all the resources like: human resources, physical resources, natural resources etc. are provided by the society to the corporate. So, it refers to the obligation of business towards various parties of the society. The concept of corporate social responsibility (CSR), used particularly with reference to a company, emerged from the notion of sustainable development. It includes consideration of such issues as human rights, employee health, and educational, environmental and social welfare. At the national level almost all the corporate sectors are engaged in CSR exercise in the areas of education, health, development, women empowerment, agriculture development etc. for sustainable development. This research paper highlight the brief idea of CSR sustainable Development, and examine the initiative of ITC Ltd in CSR for sustainable development.

 Abstract

Productivity, more often defined as a ratio between an output value and an input value used to produce the output. Cement is one of the key essential materials in the construction industry. For the Indian cement industry, many challenges lie ahead. Increase in productivity is imperative in order to raise the standards of living and also to make the Indian exports globally competitive. Enhancement in productivity cannot be achieved without identifying and analyzing factors that adversely affect productivity. Measuring and quantifying the impact of factors influencing productivity of cement industries is a complex problem. Productivity barriers in cement industries are hampering its growth. Productivity problems can be minimized or avoided when their causes are clearly identified. Hence, exploring productivity determinants and their relationship with productivity of cement industries are important. A set of 49 productivity factors were extracted based on the related literature. The frequency of questionnaire data was obtained from SPSS software & then RII is calculated. Then Structural Equation Modeling is used to show the relationship between the most and least contributing factors. Finally productivity assessment models were then developed using fuzzy logic toolbox. So the study concludes that the power of fuzzy logic techniques can be very useful in the productivity problem environment and has future application

 Abstract

The handloom and handicrafts sector had been a major source of livelihoods in the rural economy. The handloom industry was in fact among the largest employment generating sector about 50 years ago. The importance of handicrafts and handlooms has grown multifold in rural areas because of our agricultural system being mainly a rain fed farming system. The pronounced local relevance of crafts and their products had lent a strong cultural content to the products arising out of specialization in catering to local tastes and preferences, and hence, representing the local way of life.. This paper aims to study the awareness level of government welfare schemes among the weavers working in the handloom sector Situated in rural area and taking a sample population of 50 weavers from Chennimalai in Erode district of Tamilnadu.. A descriptive research was adopted to determine the awareness of weavers against the various schemes like HWCWS, NHDP, CHCDS and Mahatma Gandhi Bunkar Bima Yojana(MGBBMY),Pradhan MantrI Jeevan Bima Yojana(PMJJBY). This study finds that almost maximum number of weavers was not having awareness of these government schemes. Hence, an essential steps to be taken by the government to conduct campagain in this area is required .so that satisfactory usage of these schemes to improve the livelihood and enhancement income of the weavers may take place.

 Abstract

Abstract: Tribal dependency on forest is well known. They have symbiotic relationship with forest. The colonial government disturbed this relationship with focused on only revenue generation. This relationship recognized in the forest policy of 1988 of independent India. In tribal economy women play crucial role. Although the main occupation of tribal of South West Bengal was agriculture, forest deeply influenced their economy. Non-timber Forest Products (NTFP) provided them a substantial resource of livelihood. Generally tribal women used to collect various NTFPs, i.e. sal leaves, kendu leaves, sal seeds, mahua flowers, mushroom, medicinal plants, fuel wood, fodder etc. They also collect raw material for handicraft products. Since women were engaged in collection of NTFPs for sustenance, later government gave importance to women in Joint forest management (JFM). As tribal women were the main user of forest product, they were the worst sufferer of deforestation. Government plantation programmes failed to meet their need and it created extra work load on women. Now, several non-government and government institutions are working for upliftment of tribal women. More attention is needed for the improvement of their condition.
