 Abstract

The study drive was to find the eye-hand coordination among the racket games players. Thirty (30) male each players of racket games viz. badminton, lawn tennis and table tennis were selected those participated in Inter-collegiate and State level tournament of Manipur whose age ranged from 19-21 years. Coordination test was tested by ball transfer between eyes and hands. To analyse and interpreted the study, ANOVA was used at 0.05 level of significant. From the statistical analysis it was concluded that that there were significant differences between the means of badminton, table tennis and lawn tennis players of Manipur to eye-hand coordination.

 Abstract

A graph with vertex set V is said to have a prime labeling if its vertices are labeled with distinct integers 1, 2, 3, . . . , |V | such that for each edge xy the labels assigned to x and y are relatively prime. In this paper, we prove that tree Tn ? K1, for any n admit prime labeling provided with the prime labeling of tree Tn. By the way, we prove that using corona product of tree with complete graph on one vertex, we can generate prime labeled trees. This procedure can be repeated so that we can generate prime labeled trees as long as the procedure is continued.

 Abstract

Every product need to have promotion through different channels. But are these promotional offers effective enough for the companies? The Home appliances sector has been growing over the years in India with multiple players from the international arena also being part of the competition. This research paper is investigating the impact of demographic variables on the promotional schemes done by companies. The research is focused on home appliance consumers. The target group were consumers of Home appliances in Ernakulam. Chi square test was done to test the hypothesis. The various demographic parameters-age, annual income and gender have been tested to arrive at the result. The results show that though gender had no impact, annual income and age have a strong association with promotional offers given by the companies.

 Abstract

Background: The formation of kidney stones is affecting a large number of people in various age groups worldwide. Identification of risk factors and preventive measures is of great importance in reducing the prevalence of kidney stone disease in the population. Methods: A cross-sectional study involving a population of 100 renal stone patients was conducted in Dept. of Surgery, DUPMC&H, Jalgaon, Maharashtra, India. The objective of the study was to estimate the prevalence of risk factors for kidney stone patients. Results: Among the sample of 100 patients of age group 4-75 years, the highest prevalence was noted among those of age 40 and above (S.D.= 17.661). CT scan findings suggested that the volume of renal stones ranged from a minimum of 0.5 cm3 to maximum of 29.7 cm3, with a standard deviation of 4.8884. Conclusions: Study concludes that kidney stone formation is showing variability with age, sex, race, ethnicity, geography, climate, occupation, daily water intake and dietary habits in Jalgaon district. Cases were predominantly among males, those aged around 40, consuming less than 2 liters of water per day. Those who consumed foods rich in meat and oxalates were found to be at high risk. The right upper calyx of kidney was found to be the predominant location for the largest obstructive calculi.

 Abstract

With advancing technology, mankind has begun to rely more on robots at every enhancing stage of technology and hence this arena of development has received great attention of the researchers. Along with the features of Smartphone controlled robot via Bluetooth which also senses the obstacle ahead with the help of sensors and tackles them accordingly while also sensing and tackling the depths in a similar fashion. Arduino Nano is the development board used commands the overall action of the robot. An IR sensor is used as it transmits the infrared waves from IR emitter and receives the echoed waves of it through receives it through IR receiver and conveys the output to the Arduino Nano. The Arduino module will respond instantly as the data is received from the sensors and informs the user controlling through Smartphone via Bluetooth. The Servo motor is connected with the arduino module and operated by the user through the mobile phone, which acts as a drier mop in our model of cleaning bot. The drenched moping pads are actuated by the DC motor fixed thereupon. Signal to each & every motor is given by the central processing unit board i.e. Arduino Nano.

 Abstract

The Myasabeda tribe was originally a matriarchal and female-dominated tribe. Because of this, the role of women in building and developing culture is very important. These unique women have been called cultural heroines of Myasabeda. When we look at the design of 'woman', which is built by the oral history of the community, we get the details that women were given equal respect and lived peacefully in a community system that was more natural than patriarchy. Similarly, the concept of private property, which started with patriarchy, there are many things to be seen when one starts thinking about the condition of a woman who has been oppressed by a ruling spirit man. It also needs to be understood in the context of cause and effect. With the loss of forest habitat and thereby loss of animal husbandry, the community reached a precarious state.

 Abstract

Cancers are the major lifestyle disease burden faced by our country. The health workers have a central responsibility in prevention, care and treatment. Therefore, it is important to assess knowledge towards cancer among health professionals. The aim of this study was to assess the knowledge regarding selected cancer of female reproductive system among GNM students at selected nursing schools in Kerala. Descriptive approach and descriptive design were used for the present study.60 sample were selected by using non-probability sampling technique. Findings of the study revealed that majority of GNM students 45 (75%) had inadequate knowledge. The knowledge score mean of 60 samples were 11.03 with standard deviation of 2.94. With regards to the association between level of knowledge and socio demographic variables, no association was found between knowledge level and the sociodemographic variables at p<0.05. The study concluded that adequate measures have to be taken to improve the knowledge of nursing students.
