 Abstract

ABSTRACT Introduction: Nachos are the popular snack of the day. Nachos is a Mexican dish from northern Mexico that consists of heated tortilla chips or totopos chips covered with melted cheese, often served as a snack or appetizer. Spinach is an excellent source of vitamins and minerals like vitamin A (in the form of carotenoids), manganese, folate, copper, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin E, calcium and vitamin C. Spinach is also a very good source of zinc, dietary fiber, phosphorus, vitamin B1 and choline. It contains a unique and beneficial mixture of phytonutrients, as well as antioxidants, flavonoids and carotenoids. Objectives: A study was undertaken to develop value added nachos using spinach and to evaluate its sensory qualities. Methodology: The procedure for development of value added, nachos using spinach was standardized. 2 variations of nachos were prepared by substituting maize flour with spinach at 25 per cent and 50 per cent. The developed products were evaluated for its sensory quality by semi trained panelist using 9-point hedonic scale. Results: Sensory qualities like appearance, color, texture, taste, odor, overall acceptability. were evaluated and the results showed that, means scores for variation I (25%) were on par with the control sample, whereas sensory scores for the variation II (50%) were decreased which may be because of lower scores for taste, color and flavor. Conclusion: It can be concluded that addition of 25% spinach in nachos was best accepted, with improved the nutritional quality. So, it can be a healthy snack, can be used to replace unhealthy commercially available nachos.

 Abstract

Utilizing solar cookers can help you prepare your food more sustainably and save money on fuel. Solar energy is intermittent and only available throughout the day. Therefore, thermal energy storage is crucial for indoor solar cooking needs and will guarantee continuous use. The entire system is intended to hypothetically cook 1 kg of rice in 45 minutes while only consuming 421 W of electricity, which is derived from the sun's stored energy. As seen by the experimental findings, the energy transfer to the water was somewhat slowed as a result of the numerous losses, and its temperature rose to 355 K. Even though it has little energy, putting it at a place where it can minimize TES energy can surrounding by placing it in the insulated tank during discharging. However, because the model did not take into account the fundamental losses and variations in solar radiation, there is a difference between the experiment and the analytical estimate. After being removed from the solar collector, the TES is put on the insulated tank and filled with water before the discharge process begins. As a result, the water's maximum temperature after 40 minutes is 355 K. Since non-renewable energy is becoming less and less prevalent, we must employ renewable energy sources like solar, wind, and other types of energy. Nothing is more affordable than being free. However, solar energy can be found in large quantities and for no charge in nature. so that we have the choice of using solar energy in place of non-renewable sources. The most significant energy-consuming activity at home is cooking. LPG and other energy sources are also utilised as fuel, but they are used less frequently than firewood in India. In India's urban areas, less firewood is used than in the country's rural areas. So, it is possible to think about using solar energy to replace conventional cooking methods. One of the best devices for cooking with solar energy is the solar cooker. Solar cooking is a type of outdoor cooking that is frequently employed in situations when minimizing fuel usage is vital, there is a significant risk of accidental fire, and an alternative would have serious negative health and environmental effects. A greater understanding of solar cookers, such as parabolic cookers, box-style solar cookers, panel-style solar cookers, and solar ovens, is provided by this review paper. The advantages of small optimization, good heat storage capacity, and efficient performance have elevated the box type solar cooker above its rivals. This study created and assessed the effectiveness of box type solar cooker.

 Abstract

The Jamun fruit tree is a member of the Syzygium genus in the Mytascea family. Jambu leaves are rich in vitamins and minerals including manganese, zinc, iron, calcium, salt, and potassium, but have less calories than fruit. A medium-sized Jambu leaf has around 3 to 4 calories. B-vitamin, potassium, and magnesium. Additionally abundant are fiber, carotenoids, and photochemical antioxidants. The ethanol extract of jambu leaves demonstrated antibacterial efficacy against gram-positive and gram-negative pathogens, as well as hypoglycemic properties. One of the most nourishing and healthful cereals is ragi. Ragi's high protein content makes it a crucial element in avoiding malnutrition. Due to its high calcium and vitamin content, ragi is essential for strengthening bones. The high dietary fiber and polyphenol content of ragi has been demonstrated to lower the risk of developing diabetes mellitus when consumed regularly. It lowers the risk of stroke and other heart problems by lowering plaque development and avoiding blood vessel obstruction, which in turn lowers cholesterol levels. It aids in reducing hypertension and high blood pressure. Ragi aids in the battle against oxidative stress and the reduction of free radicals that cause harm. Cookies are one of those foods that provide nutrients to keep you active and healthy. Depending on how they are made and the components they include, cookies have varying nutritional values and flavors. The study intends to employ underused Jamun leaves in food items to get their good effects. It was mixed in a range of cookies in varying percentages, and the most well-liked Jamun leaves incorporated in ragi cookies were assessed for their nutritious content.

 Abstract

Liposomal amphotericin-B is universally used antifungal drug for treatments of invasive fungal infections. The liposomal amphotericin-B is used extensively in medical setting because of its tolerability and potent antifungal activity. Allergic reaction to liposomal amphotericin B is infrequent. We report a case of anaphylactic reaction in a 57-year-old man following liposomal amphotericin B infusion. The patient was managed with immediate action of intravenous Noradrenaline, Ondansetron, Pheniramine and Hydrocortisone.

 Abstract

Like Mulk Raj Anand and Raja Rao, Aravind Adiga is a well-known Indian English writer. He adds something important to Indian writing in English. The White Tiger, his first book, did a good job of bringing up the problem of Indian society. He has tried to show that the role of India's "underclass" or "marginalised" people is very important to the story of India's progress. Balram Halwai is the most important person in the book. The writer gave a loud voice to people who were being ignored or not heard. He or she showed the suffering and problems of India's lower class. He wants India's social and economic system to be free of class and caste. Balram speaks up for the people who are exploited but don't have a chance to say anything about it. In the book, Balram's story gives a voice to people who are usually left out of the conversation. He shows how the poor struggle and how they finally stand up for themselves through the character of Balram. By playing Balram Halwai, Adiga gives the Indian people who are fighting for their lives all over the world a voice. It has the right to be heard and to speak for itself. The whole book is about how hard life is for poor people in India, and Balram's voice becomes the voice of all poor people.

 Abstract

Diffusion of innovation is the process of incorporating new ideas into a product or service according to the recent trends in the market. It is a theory which explains how and why the changes in the product are being adopted by the market and society. Innovation in the product directly affects the behaviour of consumer. Consumer behaviour is the study of the reactions and actions of consumer on a particular product or service. The aim of the paper is to study the impact of innovation in the products used by the consumer daily in their life and how it impacts the behaviour of consumer. The result of the study is based on the data collected through questionnaire around 100 consumers of Madhya Pradesh and the review of literature of already published in the area of consumer and diffusion of innovation.

 Abstract

This paper investigates the operating conditions of an electric vehicle (EV) for different operating conditions. Various configurations are realized to simulate the output results built-in MATLAB software. EVs are operated for transportation purposes as renewable energy (RE) sources replacing oil and gas are used as fuel sources and alternative resources. Electric vehicles have been on the market since the year 2000 and are commonly used in various countries. This analysis gives a new direction in automotive applications while implementing hardware configuration.
