The paper undertakes a critical survey of how environmental thinking has evolved within translation discourse and identifies emerging paradigms that align translation practice with ecological ethics. By highlighting the necessity of an ecologically informed translation theory, and calls for a reorientation of translation studies toward sustainability, responsibility, and interconnectedness.
