The World Health Organization (WHO) says that India has a high number of lifestyle-related diseases, especially non-communicable diseases (NCDs), which are increasing fast because of changes in food habits and lifestyle. Ayurveda, the traditional Indian medical system, teaches that good health depends on keeping the mind, body, and spirit in balance. One important Ayurvedic practice for this is Ritucharya, which means following a seasonal routine. It helps the body stay in tune with nature and keeps the Doshas (basic energies of the body) balanced, which prevents many diseases. Ritucharya includes advice about what to eat, how to live, and what habits to follow in each season. By eating the right foods and following the right lifestyle for each season, a person can stay healthy, strong, and happy. However, more research is still needed to fully understand how Ritucharya benefits human health. Scientists also need to find the best ways to use these ancient methods in today's modern lifestyles. This study looks at how Ayurvedic teachings about food and lifestyle help people live in harmony with nature, and how Ayurveda's six seasons compare with the four seasons we follow today.
