Vocabulary building forms the foundation of all language-learning processes. A rich and functional vocabulary not only determines one's linguistic competence but also influences cognitive growth, comprehension skills, and communicative performance. In the modern multilingual classroom, vocabulary learning has evolved from rote memorization to dynamic engagement through reading, contextual exposure, and technology-assisted practice. This study examines how systematic vocabulary enhancement strengthens overall language proficiency, especially for learners of English as a second or foreign language. Drawing upon current pedagogical research, it discusses approaches such as morphological awareness, corpus-based learning, and the integration of digital tools.
