Abstract
Nanotechnology has emerged as a promising solution for addressing the pressing issue of wastewater treatment. This review explores the potential of nanomaterials in revolutionizing wastewater management. Nanomaterials, with their unique properties such as high surface area, enhanced reactivity, and tunable functionality, offer efficient and sustainable approaches for removing various pollutants from wastewater. We delve into the application of nanomaterials in advanced oxidation processes, adsorption, membrane filtration, and bioremediation. Additionally, we discuss the environmental and health implications associated with the use of nanomaterials in wastewater treatment. By highlighting the advantages and challenges of nanotechnology, this review aims to contribute to the development of sustainable and effective wastewater treatment strategies.
