This review delves into how high blood sugar levels contribute to the condition through oxidative stress and metabolic issues. It covers the range of symptoms and the methods used to diagnose the disease, emphasizing the importance of thorough clinical assessments. Current treatments focus on controlling blood sugar and managing symptoms, but new therapies offer hope for better outcomes. Future research aims to overcome existing challenges and improve prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for those affected.
