Abstract
Abstract
The aim of the study was to realize the levels of leadership potential among college students of District Kulgam Jammu and Kashmir. A sample of 200 students from four types of college students viz., Male college Students, Female college Students, Urban college Students and Rural college Students constituted the sample. In order to assess the levels of leadership among the college Students of District Kulgam a Leadership Potential Scale developed Prof. N.A. Nadeem and Shaheena Akhter (2014). This scale consists of six dimensions 40 and 40 items. Statistical analysis included percentage statistics; Means, Standard Deviation, and t-test were used through Excel and SPSS. The result of the study showed that the leadership potential of Male College Students and Female College Students doesn't differ significantly and maximum College Students (54%) have an Average level of leadership potential. The mean score of Male College Students have higher values across the only one of the six dimensions of leadership potential. And the result of the study showed that the leadership potential of Urban College Students and Rural College Students doesn't differ significantly and maximum College Students (54%) have an Average level of leadership potential. The mean score of Urban College Students have higher values across the two of the six dimensions of leadership potential.
