Abstract
Afghan revival under Sher Shah Suri and his successors, marking a pivotal period in Indian history. Following the decline of the Delhi Sultanate, Sher Shah Suri, a regional Afghan leader, seized power and established a robust administrative system, reviving Afghan dominance in the region. His reign (1540-1545) saw significant reforms, including the introduction of a standardized currency, a reorganized revenue system, and extensive infrastructure development. After Sher Shah's death, his successors, Islam Shah and Adil Shah, continued his policies, expanding Afghan control and consolidating power. This research analyzes the key factors contributing to the Afghan revival, including strategic alliances, military campaigns, and administrative innovations, highlighting the lasting impact of Sher Shah's legacy on Indian politics, economy, and culture.
