Customer churn is one of the main problems in the telecommunications industry. Several studies have shown that attracting new customers is much more expensive than retaining existing ones. Therefore, companies are focusing on developing accurate and reliable predictive models to identify potential customers that will churn shortly. The telecommunication industry in recent years is a subject of major changes and from a fast-growing industry has come to a state of saturation accompanied by a strong appetitive market. Customers starve for better services and prices, while their requirements are extremely complex and difficult to understand. India was exposed to modern day tax structured Sir James Wilson in 1860 so that British Indian Government of that time can recover the losses incurred during the revolt of 1857. Since then various reforms were introduced to manage the pace of development and increase the horizon of government revenue through taxes. Most recently Goods and service taxes were introduced in India which has subsume more than 15 indirect taxes in it and becomes the most dynamic and celebrated tax reforms of the recent time. GST is an promising tax regime which was introduced with the motive make Indian businesses globally competitive by removing cascading effect, Easy inter-state movement of goods, inclusion of small business in the formal economy, reduction of tax terrorism etc. It is claimed to be one of the best measure to reduce tax evasion both direct and indirect. It was France which has introduced the GST for the first time in the world in 1954. But as world trade progresses today more that 160 countries of the world has adopted this system of taxation. It has been claimed that the GST model that India has adopted is very similar to Canadian Model of VAT. Both India and Canada are Common Law countries having very similar federal structure so it was advisable to look forward to Canadian Model of GST. Canada has adopted this system of taxation for the first time in 1991. Initially the government has faced many backlashes for the new change but today it is one of the country with smoothest Indirect tax structure. The present paper analyse the indirect tax regime in both the countries and tries to evaluate the similarities and dissimilarities of the law in both the jurisdiction.

Abnormal development of cells in human body contributes to the formation of cancer or tumor. The uncontrolled expansion of cells in human brain leads to the formation of brain tumors. These brain tumors are classified into two types, benign and malignant. This project presents an automatic segmentation method based on fuzzy corner metric markers and classification method using Convolutional Neural Network. The segmentation method uses a fuzzified corner metric, in view of image intensity, is proposed to recognize the component markers to be enclosed by the contour. In order to improve the accuracy level, Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA) is used. The WOA is used to tune the hyper parameters of hybrid CNN. These parameters include the number of convolution kernels, the size of convolution kernels, activation function, batch size and learning rate. CNN models, one of the deep learning networks, are utilized for the diagnosis process. The proposed work is implemented and simulated in MATLAB. The proposed work gives exceptionally good results, when compared to recently proposed techniques and this work provide better accuracy of 98.92%, specificity of 97%, and sensitivity of 97%.

There is significant climb in cyber attacks, a numerous organizational entities are presently making progress toward better information mining strategies to examine security logs that has acquired from the various software framework to guarantee avoiding the bot attacks based on the location. Machine Learning approach based security frameworks are evolving to detect the patterns of attack by extracting the payload data from the network resources. These uncover the threats that are targeted towards the operational infrastructure with minimizing the cost for detection of these attacks. This paper introduces PSO Algorithm for detecting bot attacks on a network infrastructure. PSO Particle swarm optimization is a rudimentary variant which operates by consuming a populace of network infrastructure (assumed as a swarm) of network data (assumed as particles). These network particles are simulated and propagated in the investigation computational coordinates of the network infrastructure domain. The movements of the network particles result in a upward trajectory pattern of upper boundary and its consequent downward pattern lower trajectory of lower boundary. These boundaries constitute of the network traffic movements and each packet movement in the network space, when the data of each packet crosses upward trajectory pattern which will constitute of the traffic deviations generally a bot attack. These patterns are trained and tested on the network infrastructure to efficient detection of the attack.

The gearbox is a device which is used to transmit the power from one shaft to the other shaft within the required gear ratio. But, most of the times space limitation becomes the major problem of system. Also efficiency of the device is one of the important parameter. The device should have maximum efficiency. The conventional gear box gives us the required power and speed ratio but, they require the larger space for their working. Also they possess large number of parts and become bulky. In some applications, the space limitation is the important factor while designing the device. The aim of this project is to design a shaft mounted speed reducer which requires the less space and gives required speed ratio. In this thesis the analytical and numerical methods are used to design the parts of shaft mounted speed reducer. Also the experimentation is done to check validation of the work. The advantage of this project is, it requires less space and gives high efficiency. The maximum efficiency obtained by this speed reducer is 93.28%.

Indian securities market is a highly volatile and sensitive market where portfolio construction is highly important to get good returns. Risk and recovery relationships are an important part of investing in decision-making. Although studies have examined the risks and relationships of relapses, the investor remains willing to invest in a high-yield and low-risk financial institution; and it is very necessary to create a portfolio that meets the goals and objectives of investors. The investor is trying to make a high profit with minimal risk. The main focus of this research is to construct an optimal portfolio with the help of CAPM. In this research, banks and companies has been taken into consideration for constructing the optimum portfolio. Eight banks and companies like HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Infosys, L&T, Reliance Insurance, Bharthi Airtel, NTPC and Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd been selected and excess to beta ratio has been calculated and ranked the companies based on that ratio. The cut-off point was calculated based on the highest value and cut-off point should be used to calculate the proportion of money to be invested in each stocks. The main objective behind the facial recognition system is the certitude that every person has a unique face. As we know that every person has unique fingerprint, similarly every individual face have unique features. Here we use features of face of an individual. We can stored the features of the faces of many individuals and they can be identified according to their face features. Facial testimony and facial recognition are difficult and challenging piece of work. For facial recognition systems to be authentic, they must work accurately and precisely. The facial recognition technique captured the image using the camera and mapping it for comparison to the images stored in the database. If the captured image is matched with any of the stored images then it shows face matched otherwise it shows face not matched. This paper elaborates in detail the entire process of facial recognition system using OpenCV library. We use Har cascading algorithm using OpenCV library for the face detection.

Over the past three decades, a great deal of interest has been generated regarding the use of structural protective systems to mitigate the effects of dynamic environmental hazards, such as vibration, on mechanical engineering structures and automobile sectors for human comfort, earthquakes and strong wind, on civil engineering structures. These systems usually employ supplemental damping devices to increase the energy dissipation capability of the protected structure. One of the most promising new devices proposed for structural protection is magneto rheological (MR) fluid dampers. MR fluids possess rheological properties, which can be changed in a controlled way. These rheological changes are reversible and dependent on the strength of an excitation magnetic field. MR fluids have potentially beneficial applications when placed in various applied loading (shear, valve and squeeze) modes. Magneto rheological dampers, or as they are more commonly called, MR dampers, are being developed for a wide variety of applications where controllable damping is desired. MR fluid dampers have the capability of changing their effective damping force depending on the current input to the damper. These applications include dampers for automobiles, heavy trucks, prosthetic limbs, gun recoil systems, bicycles, and possibly others related to mechanical discipline like brake, clutch etc. Magneto rheological (MR) fluid dampers having very good mechanical simplicity, high dynamic range, low power requirements, large force capacity, and robust ness, this class of devices has been shown to mesh well with application demands and constraints to offer an attractive means of protecting infrastructure systems. This work issues the design and analysis of the linear magneto rheological damper. Basic information concerning the characteristics of the typical magneto rheological fluid and the damper incorporating it, were presented with the detail description of the applied fluid developed in our premises. With reference to the computations, the prototype damper was designed, manufactured and tested under different operating conditions. Performed calculations were verified with the experimental results and their accuracy was evaluated. The conclusions and observations from the research were compiled in the summary.

Single crystals are a type of solid state material that can be classed, depending on the arrangement of the component atoms, ions, or molecules, polycrystals and amorphous materials are formed. An ideal crystal is an infinite lattice of atoms arranged in patterns that repeat with repeat distances in all three dimensions. Real crystals are limited in size and contain defects. Crystal growth is a multidisciplinary field that encompasses physics, chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, metallurgy, crystallography, and mineralogy. The presence of functional groups and modes of vibration of crystals were confirmed by Fourier transform infrared analysis. The absorption spectrum revealed that the crystal possess lower UV cut off wavelength. UV- visible analysis revealed that the ZTS crystal is good in quality and optically transparent. Microhardness study indicates that the crystal belongs to the class of soft materials. The Thermo gravimetric analysis confirmed that the grown pure, 1 mole % and 2 mole % of KI doped ZTS crystals are thermally stable up to 236.92?C, 238.77?C and 242.52?C respectively. The SHG efficiency of KI doped ZTS crystal is enhanced by KI dopant. Elemental compositions of grown crystals were obtained by using Energy Dispersive X-ray analysis.
