 Abstract

Colour detection is the process of detecting the name of any colour. Human eyes and brains work together to translate light into colour. Light receptors that are present in our eyes transmit the signal to the brain. Our brain then recognizes the colour. But one of the limitations of human brain is that it cannot recognize all the shades of colours. But, through this process we can detect even the shades of most of the colours (approximately around 1500) by placing an target object for which the colour should be detected in front of the camera. We are formulating a process/algorithm through which we can produce faster results in Iris detection by first considering the colour of the Iris and then scanning the user data with the reduced data through scale invariant feature transform (SIFT). Iris is one of the unique features which can be distinguished between two different individuals. Since the Iris feature are unique, this can be used in Biometric applications. Fingerprint biometrics are efficient, but one need to move to Iris scanning for the biometrics because this method is more hygienic and accurate.

 Abstract

Kinnow is spring ripening, sweet juicy fruit with seeds, attractive upright growth habit. The fruit is medium and have more of a yellow or orange color .The fruit is fairly easy to peel, rich flavored, very juicy. The large, frost, tolerant columnar tree has dense foliage and is a good ornamental but has a strong tendency towards alternate bearing. Study was carried out on Kinnow mandarin to explore the effects of chemical coated with glycerin (2.5%),NaoH (2%),calcium lactate (3%),gum Arabic (10%),calcium chloride (1%),CMC (1%),with untreated fruits as a control on post-harvest shelf life of the fruit. The experiment was performed for 30 days in studying the physical and chemical parameters of the fruits and the readings were recorded at the intervals of 3 days. The obtained results showed that significant enhancement in fruit physical characteristics, as well as fruit chemical characteristics. Using gum Arabic (10%), CMC (1%) we are the best, which gave minimal damage and more shelf life to the mandarin fruit.

 Abstract

The concept of human inequality paved the way to the concept of social injustice and was ubiquitous throughout the world of antiquity. Islam, managed to succeed because Islam gives us a complete ideology in favor of human equality. According to Islam man is equal in creation and is originated from a single source. Those who belong to the various classes in society are not created by different gods. Islam demolishes all structures of social superiority by asserting common origin of all human beings. This is the essence of Islam which is called Tawhid. Tawhid implies the release of all human beings from servitude and yielding to anyone but God. Tawhid is tantamount to defiance of any power obscured under whatever colour or veil and an absolute submission to the absolute authority of God alone. The concept of Tawhid makes it clear that all of us have been raised from dust and we shall be reduced to dust. There is no difference among the particles of dust; hence why should there be any difference between somebody else and me. This consciousness undoubtedly gives man the greatest incentive to bring about social justice. The aim of this paper is to explain the concept of social justice in Islam and how Tawhid has direct bearing on social justice.

 Abstract

An experiment was conducted in 2016 cropping season to evaluate residual effect of legumes experimental treatments on maize crop yield at the fields that were used for soybean the previous year at the two agroecological zones (Sudan savanna and Guinea savanna). After clearing and land preparations, experimental plots were demarcated. Plots size was 4 by 4.5m. There were seven treatments replicated four times, each for soybean and groundnut. Maize grain yield showed no significant difference between treatments in terms of maize yield). Result from Sudan savanna soybean field revealed no significant difference between treatments in terms of maize yield (P = 0.123). As for harvest index, there is significant difference (P =0.023) between treatments. On contrast result obtained from Guinea savanna soybean field showed that significant difference exists between treatments. nitrogen treatment recorded highest yield (2175 kg ha-1). Result for major nutrients uptake in maize shoot showed no any significant difference between all the treatments observed in soybean fields at both Sudan savanna and Guinea savanna. From the finding of this study it can be concluded that. Result indicated that residual effect of leguminous crop treatments influenced yield performance of maize in Guinea savanna but no significant difference was observed in Sudan savanna.

 Abstract

Nowadays shopping malls and Big Marts keep the track of their sales data of each and every individual item for predicting future demand of the customer and update the inventory management as well. These data stores basically contain a large number of customer data and individual item attributes in a data warehouse. Further, anomalies and frequent patterns are detected by mining the data store from the data warehouse. The resultant data can be used for predicting future sales volume with the help of different machine learning techniques for the retailers like Big Mart. In this paper, we propose a predictive model using XG boost Regressor technique for predicting the sales of a company like Big Mart and found that the model produces better performance as compared to existing models.

 Abstract

The discharge of administrative discretionary powers needs for hearings, even before the administrative authorities. While hearing, the authorities are required to observe principles of natural justice in addition to the legislative mandates. Right to be heard forms a part of the package of principle of natural justice yet jeopardized in exceptional situations, which calls for the post-decisional hearing as a savior not to defunct the overall proceedings. The problem arises once the decision is taken and if the person at stake had already suffered due to the same. The courts had tried to strike a balance in this situation to cure the urgency of the decision-making right of the aggrieved to be heard before any detriment is caused to his interest.

 Abstract

Leaf spots can be indicative of crop diseases, where leaf batches (spots) are usually examined and subjected to expert opinion. In our proposed system, we are going to develop an integrated image processing system to help automated inspection of these leaf batches and helps identify the disease type. Conventional Expert systems mainly those which used to diagnose the disease in agriculture domain depends only on textual input. Usually abnormalities for a given crop are manifested as symptoms on various plant parts. To enable an expert system to produce correct results, end user must be capable of mapping what they see in a form of abnormal symptoms to answer to questions asked by that expert system. This mapping may be inconsistent if a full understanding of the abnormalities does not exist. The proposed system consists of four stages; the first is the enhancement, which includes HIS transformation, histogram analysis, and intensity adjustment. The second stage is segmentation, which includes adaptation of fuzzy c-means algorithm. Feature extraction is the third stage, which deals with three features, namely color size and shape of spot. The fourth stage is classification, which comprises Leaf disease.

 Abstract

Water is very important and key elements of human life for drinking purposes as well as related to human daily need. Increasing demand of water caused the emerging science of dam engineering and also construction large dams for Irrigation purposes, drinking, industrial, flood control, power generation, recreational, fishery and tourisms etc. In India inland water bodies combined together, stretch over 45,000 km across the country, making India one of the richest fish germ-plasm in the world. However, the reallocation of water through dams has severely affected the ecosystem of these rivers, as the downstream flows are restricted and mangroves vanish. Large dams can remarkably effect on the environment as a non- stabilizing factor in nature in various stages of construction, operation and end of life by stopping the flow of the river and stored water on its up-steam site. However, if the environment cannot tolerate this instability, the results of the destruction of this structure will gradually rise and the objective of dam construction will be lost. In this paper, we will review the environmental impact of construction large dams on some rivers across the country and we will separately examine the use of several large dams as an important and effective option.
