 Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the Indian dairy industry. A study conducted on the impact of COVID-19 on the industry found that the lockdown imposed to contain the spread of the virus had a severe impact on the dairy sector. The industry faced several challenges, including a decrease in demand, supply chain disruptions, and a shortage of labour. The study found that the decrease in demand was due to the closure of hotels, restaurants, and other food service outlets. This resulted in a surplus of milk, which led to a drop in prices. Furthermore, the lockdowns led to supply chain disruptions, which made it challenging to transport milk and dairy products from one place to another. The shortage of labour was another significant challenge faced by the industry. With the migration of laborers to their native places, many dairy farms and processing units were left without adequate staff. The study also found that the pandemic led to changes in consumer behaviour, with consumers preferring packaged milk over loose milk due to hygiene concerns. This has led to an increase in the demand for packaged milk, but it has also resulted in higher packaging costs for the industry. Despite the challenges faced by the industry, the study found that the Indian dairy industry has shown resilience and adaptability. Many dairy farmers have adopted new technologies and methods to increase efficiency and reduce costs. The study highlights the need for the industry to continue to innovate and adapt to the changing circumstances to ensure its long-term sustainability.

 Abstract

India is a country of villages and small town as 68.9 per cent of the population lives in 6.40 lakhs villages. At the same time, 450 million i.e. 37% of the population are internal migrants as per 2011 census. In developing country like India, migration mostly take place not due to pull forces as usually seen in case of developed countries, but because of factors like poverty, unemployment and natural calamities. Migration is not choice but it is necessary, so it becomes essential for the destined state to accommodate migrant workers when these persons need it. Uttar Pradesh and Bihar account for the highest outflow of migration. These migrant workers have played a key role in the development of the nation by sheer sweat of their labour but these very nation builders sought a little assistance from the country in their quest to reach their humble abodes. In India internal migration has never been taken seriously by the central and state government. Migrant workers have no residential security and are compelled to live and work in crowded slums and unauthorized public lands with unsatisfactory civic amenities and access to basic services, and they undergo repeated displacement. For the first time, COVID -19 crises unfolded the real face of centre-state relationship and brought migration to the centre stage. Though government has taken cognisance of the issue and announced financial measures to contain the impact on the migrant workers but there is an urgent need to review of national legal, regulatory and institutional concerns in resettlement and rehabilitation of migrant labourers. Time has come when both centre and state government need to prioritize the internal migrant issues. In order to deal with internal migrant issue, centre is required to decentralise political and economic power to state with greater decision making capacity.

 Abstract

Consumer is considered as king of the market. And in present scenario focus is on studying consumer behaviour. Consumer plays a distinct and vital role, he is considered as payer, user and buyer. In order to study the buying behaviour of the consumer, some important factors are taken in to consideration. In this research paper focus is done on development of strategies related to consumer buying behaviour. The objective of the research is to analyse the Patterns that influence the purchasing behaviour of the consumers regarding herbal and non-herbal cosmetic products. The research is descriptive in nature. The researcher has chosen quantitative data collection method and secondary method in order to conduct the research. Herbal products have a great influence over non-herbal products because people nowadays prefer herbal products as compared to non-herbal products. It is because in the recent times it has been observed that there has been an exponential growth of herbal skin care products in the market replacing the non-herbal products. The prime limitation of the study was timescale and budget. This study is conducted via secondary analysis, it is compulsory for the researcher to develop proper questionnaires and select appropriate options for questions.

 Abstract

Visualization is necessary for further data processing and to assist scientists in comprehending the enormous amount of data generated. Large-scale simulations for essential meteorological applications such as cyclone tracking and earthquake modelling necessitate simultaneous online/"on-the-fly" visualization. Online visualization allows scientists to provide real-time feedback to the simulations, allowing them to better tailor the output to the scientific demands. The main aim of this study is to discuss the adaptive integrated steering framework for simulation and visualization of applications like cyclone tracking across various resource configurations. We developed InSt, an integrated user-driven and automated steering framework for simulations, online remote viewing, and analysis for crucial weather applications, in this research. InSt gives the user control over a variety of application parameters, including the region of interest, simulation resolution, and data visualization frequency. Unlike previous efforts, our framework considers both the steering inputs and the application's criticality, namely the application's minimum progress rate, as well as various resource constraints such as storage space and network bandwidth, to determine the best possible parameter values for simulations and visualization.

 Abstract

The idea of this paper is to understand the mutual influences that the different fashion industries had. Every continent, country, region has its history of the fashion industry. With time the fashion of the different worlds (nations) had changed its course and with globalization, international fashion has evolved into what we call the new fashion in the current scenario. Fashion has a dynamic nature and evolves with time due to various reasons for example the western clothing influence on South-East Asian countries or vice-versa. The paper highlights that how Indian fashion has evolved due to the various invasions starting from the Mughals to the colonial rule, the fashion that we see today in contemporary modern India is the amalgamation of various such influences. The reason why I have chosen this topic is due to my interest in this particular subject. I had wanted to know how the fashion we see today has evolved with time. There are many instances wherein we can still see the reflection of the past of fashion history across the globe.

 Abstract

Defect Detection in modern material assembling is a fundamental requirement for which productive practical arrangements must be sought. In ongoing years, a few distinct techniques have been created to recognize these deformities, some of which have been fruitful to a more prominent or lesser degree. Traditionally, the acknowledgment of texture has a lot of difficulties because of its manual visual examination. Additionally, the methodologies dependent on early AI calculations legitimately rely upon high-quality highlights, which are tedious and blunder inclined cycles. Hence, an automated system is needed for the classification of fabric to improve productivity. In this paper, we propose a solution in which a deep transfer learning model will be trained on a fabric dataset. The training process will include various data augmentation techniques like rescaling, zooming, horizontal flipping, etc. The model extracts important features from a given image and classifies automatically in an end-to-end fashion. We assessed the consequences of our model utilizing assessment measurements, for example, exactness, adjusted precision,AUC and Recall.

 Abstract

Since 2011, the service sector has been subject to a paradigm shift referred to as industry 4.0 or the 4th generation industrial revolution (FLYNN,2017). India is keen on the adoption of industry 4.0 and several initiatives have been started in the form of digitalisation to make this transformation possible. Digitalisation is an unavoidable concept in the present world. The present paper is based on the assumption of classical model behaviour. The present paper attempts to analyse the potential impact of the vital component of industry 4.0 in the service sector with special reference to cab service. An attempt is also made to analyse how it will affect the behaviour of the people. Both primary (by conducted the case study on Delhi NCR) and secondary data have been used for analysis.

 Abstract

The very basis of studying the branch of social psychology was made fruition by psychologists to study the individual around other people and not just the thought processes of the individual alone. Social Psychology a scientific and empirical study infers that attempts will be made to answer a variety of questions about the human behaviour by testing hypotheses. In the early 1990s, with the effect of globalisation ,changes in political system with engaging cross cultural changes , execution of digitization , revolution in the ethics, job performances and family lives a huge amount of study was dedicated to the concept of groups behaviour and dynamics. A relative recent field, social psychology, it was first executed in United States near the twentieth Century and the first study was published by in 1898 By N. Norman on the phenomenon of social facilitation. Kurt Lewin , has been marked as the father or founder of social psychology. He dedicated his research work to the concept of group dynamics, action research and experiential learning. The present paper aims to study these concepts and also its categorizations.

 Abstract

Poetry has been a very precious possession of the mankind from a very primitive period. Sanskrit kavyas were composed from as early a period as that of the Ramayana which marked the beginning of a more illustrations literary traditions. Even Rgveda, the earliest of all the extant literary compositions of the world, had a good amount of poetic element and even now claims a good degree of poetic appeal. Bharata was the profounder of rasa school. The most important factor in the dhvani theory is the vyanjana function of the words and meanings of the poetry. Bharata called the phenomenon of the suggestion of the Sthayibhava developing into a rasa is vyanjana. It is to be noted here that while Bharata used the term vyanjana only with reference to the suggestion of the sentiments (rasa), Anandavardhana had also matters of fact (vastu) and imaginary ideas (alamkaras) as suggested (vyanjita) by the words and primary meaning in poetry. Kuntaka, like Anandavardhana, is aware of the great importance of rasa in poetry, but like all other poetic concepts he includes rasa also in the varieties of vakratas, mainly in vakyavakrata, prakaranavakrata and prabandhavakrata. Kuntaka admits the view of Anandavardhana that if rasavad is not admitted in inanimate objects, the vast portion good poetry will include in nirasakavya. He divided rasa into three categories: -Mukhya cetanavinyasa like gods, human beings etc., amukhya cetanavinyasa like animals, birds etc. and acetanavinyasa or relating to inanimate objects. The uddipana vibhavas , by their minute description, become subordinate to rasas according to kuntaka. Thus he admits the importance of rasa in poetry but treats it objectively as vastu. Unlike Anandavardhana who treats it subjectively as the soul of poetry.

 Abstract

Human trafficking is the most pernicious form of abuse and a multi-billion dollar criminal industry in modern times. This phenomenological study aims to document the lived experiences of law enforcers in Central Visayas who are at the frontline in the fight against modern day slavery. The researcher employed in-depth interview and focus group discussion to obtain the necessary data from 17 investigators from various law enforcement agencies, units and stations. In terms of experiences of law enforcers, the themes that emerged were encountering various forms of human trafficking, confronted with various modi operandi to lure victims, alliance with various government agencies, dealing with uncooperative victim and lack of material resources and support. They have also shared the challenges they encountered such as tedious and harried preparation for case filing, interventions, threat, harassment and pressures and lack of material resources and support. Nonetheless, law enforcement officers remained stable amidst pressure and strictly adhered with the rule of law. In terms of insights shared by the participants, the themes were awareness and advocacy is the key to mitigation, public should be astute and discerning in job recruitment, victims are vulnerable because of ignorance and poverty, and law enforcers need to be equipped to handle trafficking cases. The study implies that human trafficking is a multi-faceted problem that needs cooperation among various stakeholders in the society.
