For effective rural development, an administrative set up from top to bottom is necessary. Because the administrative machinery is the blood stream of any plans and programmes. Without a strong and efficient administration no rural development programme could be effectively implemented. The government of India has established an administrative set up at the Centre, State, District, Block and Village levels. The lowest unit of community development administration for rural development is called Development Block. The development block is a unit created almost entirely for the purpose of implementing Community Development Programmes (C.D.Ps) the block as an area unit of development has been made responsible for all-round development of the rural areas. The is objectives of this study to analysis the role of development block and comparative study between two blocks of Jorhat district in implementation of rural development programmes specially MGNREGA,IAY/PMAY, SGSY/NRLM and CMJJSY. The study reveals that the out of the total respondents 288, 77.1% from Jorhat Development Block 22.9% from Northwest Development Block associated with the different rural development proogrammes and majority of the respondent of both the block availed the benefits from IAY or PMAY-G. It is also observed that after getting benefit from the different rural development programmes the incomes of the beneficiaries has been changed. It is seen that majority of the beneficiaries i.e. 44.1% were under monthly income level of Rs.3000 to Rs.5000 before getting benefit but after the getting benefit their income level increased up to Rs.7000 to Rs.9000. Similarly in case of quality of life of the rural people has also been changed. It was seen that before getting benefits under rural development programmes ,majority of the respondents ,i.e. 83.3% were leading the low quality of life but after getting benefit the quality of life the beneficiaries is improved and majority of the beneficiaries i.e.49.7% has comes to the category of medium level which was only 16.7% before getting any benefits.

This study aimed at examining the attitude of Indian consumers especially students towards online education. The study mainly focused on knowing whether consumers prefer online education better than offline education. This study also comes in a wake of time when the whole world is battling with Covid-19 pandemic situation. A self-structured questionnaire was designed for data collection from a sample of 100 respondents which consists of 54 males and 46 females. This questionnaire consists of 19 sets of questions which were aimed to get inputs such as demographic information of respondents, awareness towards online education and its related platforms, preference of respondents regarding online education, challenges and benefits of online classes, cost factors etc. Findings of this study show that there is no concrete evidence that consumers only prefer online education because as in the further research it was found that people still think that human intervention plays a significant role in the field of education. However, it was found that consumers have a positive inclination towards online education platforms and believe that they can easily get access to it and can also get other advantages such as access to various certification courses. The government should organise workshops and seminars for creating awareness of online education among consumers and should include online education in the curriculum for students.

It is expected that increasing amounts of new generation technologies will be con- nected to electrical power systems in the near future. Most of these technologies are connected to distribution grids. When connected in small amounts, the impact of dis- tributed generation on power system transient stability will be negligible. However, if its penetration level becomes higher, distributed generation may start to influence the dynamic behavior of the power system as a whole. The effects of distributed genera- tion are increased short circuit levels, changes in load losses ,changes in voltage profiles along the network, voltage transients will appear, power quality and reliability may be affected and the networks protections may not function properly. The transients introduced will tend to change the input side voltage of a transformer. But in order to maintain a constant output, it is necessary to implement effective control meth- ods.Conventionally, this is done by On-Load Tap Changing mechanism. It is a method in which the turns ratio is varied in accordance with the input voltage variations and thus maintains a constant output. But the conventional system uses manually controlled mechanical tap changers. This has certain disadvantages like arcing, wear and tear of contacts and thus requiring frequent maintenance. The proposed system uses a TRIAC based OLTC technology. It maintains the output of the transformer constant even when there is variation in input due to voltage fluctuations, sag etc.Its response time is much better than the conventional system and the problem of arcing, wear and tear etc., are reduced.

Recently, there has been a rise in the number of people who simply do not possess the adequate amount of financial literacy that is required in order to make sound financial decisions. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to study the amount of financial literacy that Mumbaikars have as well as to evaluate the various sources through which this financial information can be obtained. Using survey filled by 165 respondents across Mumbai, this study analysed the behaviour and attitude of people in Mumbai towards financial literacy. The results proved that in multiple instances where people chose to invest money, not everyone had any sort of proper financial knowledge. Also, comparatively men had more financial knowledge. The study definitively answers the question regarding literacy levels and how it affects the financial behaviour of a person. However, further studies are needed to establish causal relationships and develop methods to make financial literacy more accessible.

Abstract Carbon emission is one of the biggest problem that the world is facing today. Every nation is trying to reduce their carbon emissions and making it as their part of governance. Yet the problem persists. Carbon sequestration is one natural phenomenon where the carbon-di-oxide is fixed in the soil in the form of organic complex compounds and resides there for a long time. Major contributors for the sequestered carbon are the forest covers on the landmass. Therefore in the present study the ability of forest in sequestering the carbon was calculated in an abandoned industrial area near hospet which has been left for more than 5 years with very less anthropogenic activities.

Women are the integral entity of every country of the world. Just like her overall development and growth decides the future of that country similarly her living conditions, health and social status reflects the mentality and health of that society. With a view to find out what is the present mental health status of women in this current pandemic of COVID-19, this study was undertaken mainly with respect to home makers as majority of the Indian women today are playing a central role in COVID-19 Lockdowns. Present paper tries to put forth a small study on the mental status of women, homemakers especially in the age group 24 to 54 years, living in one of the areas of Jabalpur city. Home makers who are the backbone of the family, yet remain unnoticed and are mistreated by our societies. Even though the number seems to be small, yet it reveals magnificent results about the conditions of housewives. The present study primarily aims to describe the qualitative description of the behavior and events observed. The investigators collected data in the form of some narrative description for understanding and deriving necessary interpretation about the quality of the behavior and characteristics of things observed. From further analysis, it can be interpreted that mood disturbances seem to be a chief mental problem in the case of women. Despite being healthy, normal and not suffering from the disease, nor having any affective, these housewives showed Psychological waves which should be considered alarming from the point of view of mental health. This research paper emphasizes the life uncertainties psychological distress and economic worries that prevail genuinely the mental status of housewives.

Seismic design techniques today enable structural engineers themselves to design buildings with different types of earthquake safety levels in line with the various demands of society. However, the design goal is basically limited to a relatively short period of time, i.e. to secure the service life of each building. Aspects of building sustainable and strong cities that recover quickly, including long-lived buildings, are not generally considered. Powerful earthquakes occur at regular intervals that are larger than individual buildings or people's lives. On the other hand, city life is clearly long-lived, just as seismic action is stronger than design action, and can only cause serious damage to a building designed for their life. Although multi-storey buildings with floors are in danger of collapsing due to natural earthquakes, their construction is still in a developing region like India. Vehicle parking area services are required to be provided at the ground level and the office does not need to be wary of such buildings from the engineering community. Due to the ease of high-speed computers, the use of software in civil engineering has greatly reduced the complexity of various aspects of project analysis and design. The aim of the project is to design and analysis a residential building by using the well-known software SAP2000.

The main objective of this study is to investigate the use of materials in geotechnical applications and increase the strength of soil .The soil stabilization can be explained as the alteration of the soil properties by chemical or physical means in order to enhance the engineering quality of soil. The main objective s of the soil stabilization is to increase the bearing of the soil, its resistance to weathering process and soil permeability . The long-term performance of any construction project depends on the soundness of underlying soils. Unstable soils can create significant problems for pavements or structure, therefore soil stabilization techniques are necessary to ensure the good stability of soil so that it can successfully sustain the load of the superstructure e specially in case of soil which are highly active, also it saves a lot of time and millions of money when compared to the method of cutting out and replacing the unstable soil .This paper deals with the complete analysis of the improvement of soil properties and its stabilization

This paper deals with the challenges of teaching literature or language online during this COVID 19 pandemic. In the following paper, it can be observed that there are few problems associated with online teachings such as digital and data divide, technical illiteracy, impersonal teaching, and outdated pedagogical practices. In this paper, certain suggestions are made on how to make online learning free from deficiency by improving and improvising internet facility, pedagogy, and training teachers and students in accessing virtual classrooms. Literature and language form one of the bases of society and teaching and learning them in a virtual platform poses a huge challenge to teachers and students The students are slowly losing their interest and seem to have no motivation to attend any classes online and some students who want to attend they do not have the necessary facility to have access to online classes. This kind of challenge not only disrupts the Indian education system but also challenges it to develop and adopt new technology with changing time.

The abnormal is our next normal. This pandemic has an enormous impact on global education in a general and massive impact on our Indian education system in particular. This article deals with the use of technology in a pandemic condition. How teachers and students are using different synchronous and asynchronous mode in teaching and learning. The article will also talk about how the pandemic has unveiled the vulnerability and dearth of both school education and higher education in India. The article will bring out in the open the challenges the stakeholders are facing during a pandemic. The focal point of this article is the suggestions to revamp our pedagogical skills using technology. Lastly, to conclude, we as a teaching fraternity in this present situation have a role to play. A role to be independent, knowledgeable, skilful, educated to hegemonize technology and not the other way round. We cannot deny the truth; there are many opportunities available online, more than the excuses we construe for not availing it.

In a progressive society, it has been gradually realized that women along with the men play a significant role in making the country prosper and as well as raising the standard of living. There has been an evidence of tremendous change in the status of women with increasing their engagement in labour market, even though the inclination towards their social protection and social security is still under the question mark and unsatisfactory. The usual phenomenon behind this mindset of the society is the perception of women as housewives, caregivers, mothers and secondary sources of household activities. But now the time has come to change this traditional perception of the society. The government of India, in order to ensure gender neutrality has passed number of enactments which provide employment benefits such as wage benefits, better working conditions, maternity benefits and social security. Maternity benefits act as facilitator which believed to create an environment that assist and improve a women workers capability to maintain balance in work and family engagements.

In India rural women play a major role in the production of agricultural goods and animal husbandry resulting in 30.02% Workforce Participation Rate, which is higher in comparison to that of women in urban areas i.e. 25.51% (Census of India, 2011). Due to the prevalence of male dominancy, social stigmas and gender discrimination, these women working in the unorganized sectors are deprived from directly linking with the market as well as in decision making on economic participation. As the women have little access to financial services, many Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) have taken a noble step in Rajasthan for promoting women empowerment with a holistic approach. In this study, the researcher will make an effort to highlight the major interventions of Ibtada NGO in uplifting the status of rural women through formation of Self-Help Groups (SHGs), sensitizing these beneficiaries on financial literacy and generating leadership among women entrepreneurs thus building a better future for herself and her entire family.

Disclosure of corona discharge of the transmission line can reflect its health status and provide warning information for maintenance. Some existing detection methods are flawed and cannot be used widely. This survey is based on a study of method by measuring the electromagnetic wave caused by corona discharge with RF antenna. Then a circularly polarized log-periodic antenna was designed by making two pairs of log-periodic antennas 90 orthogonal. Finally, this antenna was simulated and assembled to detect electromagnetic signals, the outcome displays that the time domain signal of corona discharge is a high frequency oscillation wave and its fast Fourier transform main distributes between 200 and 350 MHz .

Dampers are the energy dissipating device which also resists displacement of RC building during earthquake. Dampers are used to resist lateral forces coming on the structure. At the time of earthquake multi-storey building is damaged and large deformation occurred in multi-storey building. Dampers reduce vibration and deformation of RC building during earthquake. The excessive deformations of reinforcement concrete (RC) structure are the main cause of the collapse during earthquake excitation. Nowadays, the application of earthquake energy dissipation device, such as structural dampers, is being widely considered to protect RC structure which is designed to withstand severe seismic loads. Therefore, this study offers a comprehensive investigation oh how damper devices influence the deformation of RC building subjected to seismic excitation.

Grammar is a set of rules and the systematic study and description of a language. This includes the structure of words, phrases, clauses and sentences. English has occupied as a global language so one of the most fundamental asserts of modern linguistic study is that all languages have a grammar if a language is spoken, it must have a phonetic and phonological system. The study and Knowledge of English grammar helps the technical students in the correction of mistakes and in enhancing the writing as well as speaking skill. The purpose of this paper is to explore the role of English grammar in the facilitation of writing as well as speaking skills of students. Researchers also agree that it is more effective to teach punctuation, sentence variety, and correct usage in the context of developing the ability to write and speak effectively.
