 Abstract

Ben Jonson was correct when he said he (Shakespeare) was not of an age, but for all time. Nature herself was proud of his design. Shakespeares enduring popularity for several reasons like illumination of the human experience in simple yet profoundly eloquent verse; great stories transcending time and culture; unequal character and their various interpretations; literally coined phrases like to be or not to be is a testimony to his relevance in the 21st Century. Apart from this he has made contributions not only to the English language but the way in which people think and behave. In his works Shakespeare constantly generalizes, constantly moves from particulars to the general. Thus the particular story of a play becomes a part of the general story of mankind and his men and women a part of the panorama of humanity which continues unbroken from generation to generation. He deals with powerful elemental passions, with joys and sorrows common to all humanity, so that each one of us shares vicariously in the fate of his characters. As human nature, in its essentials, is the same in all ages and times, his works have relevance even today. His plays continue to be studied, performed and reinterpreted in diverse cultural and political context throughout the world even in the 21st Century not because Shakespeare is famous but because his characters feel very vivid and alive to viewers. While they may be kings, queens and princes, they struggle with the same issue that many playgoers do, and characterizations on the stage which people can associate with.

Ayurveda is a complete science of life, where we get elaborate descriptions about prevention of disease in a healthy individual as well as the management diseases. One of the common problems and challenges to modern world is trauma and the management the skeletal system injuries which occur as the result of trauma in most of cases. Such skeletal injuries are well explained with their classification and treatment in classical Ayurvedic Literature. Such orthopedic conditions are well explained and documented in the literatures of Ayurveda in the name of Bhagna Chikitsa. This paper presents a historic perspective of fracture management in the Ayurveda tradition.

 Abstract

One of the determinants of the success of banking organizations is how the customers perceive the service quality of the banks. This is because it is the perceived service quality that is the key driver of perceived value. It is this perceived value which determines the strength of the banks. Every customer has an ideal expectation of the service they want to receive when they go to a bank. Service quality measures how well a service is delivered compared to customer expectations. Bank that meet or exceed the expectations are considered to have high service quality. The concept of service quality is helpful in sustaining the customers confidence and thereby maximising profits of a banking organization. This research postulates on the present level of service quality of banking organizations and also tries to explore the factors that lead to service quality of the banking services.

 Abstract

The present study aims to find out the Job-Satisfaction and Life-Satisfaction of the Government and Private school Teachers of Rohtak and Sonepat Districts. A total of 200 Physical Education Teachers (110 male and 90 female) were selected using random sampling technique. The data was obtained through questionnaires which were administered personally. Results indicated Physical Education Teachers have to work in different conditions in various schools with and without sports facilities. A significant difference in the Job-Satisfaction of male Physical Education Teachers with female Physical Education Teachers having higher Job-Satisfaction. Male and Female private Physical Education Teachers do not differ significantly on Job-Satisfaction scores. The purpose of the study was to find out significant difference of Job-Satisfaction among Physical Education Teachers and the gender difference towards the variable under investigation. To achieve the objectives of the study, Job-Satisfaction Scale by Dr. Vikas Kundu was used as test scale for the collection of data. The analysis of data shows that male Physical Education Teachers working in schools have better job satisfaction than their female counterpart.

 Abstract

The project objective is to develop the application based on IOT. At hazardous condition, the food storages, production systems etc. maintaining temperature and humidity control is very important. It decides the quality of food products or the quality of industrial products manufactured. The project introduces the Humidity, Temperature monitoring system along with monitoring the load of AC in terms of voltage and current. The system maintains the temperature and humidity automatically by reading the value of temperature and humidity through the sensor. Arduino is used to interface with temperature, humidity sensor, GSM Modem and WiFi Module ESP8266. The IOT concept is implemented by connecting WiFi Module ESP8266 with the Arduino board. A mobile app is developed which enables user to see the present status of humidity, temperature, device status on or off, AC voltage and AC current. If the system load increases, the hardware turns off all devices and sends SMS to registered mobile number through GSM Modem. User has to type the password received on mobile as SMS, to activate the system again and start monitoring.

 Abstract

Gender ratio plays a pivotal role in maintain the social and cultural equilibrium. Falling numbers of girl child over male child is serious hampering this equilibrium which shall not only affect the social set-up but would also affect the environment of the state of Maharashtra. Alarmingly high literacy is not a factor that would lead to good gender ratio as proven by example of Mumbai. This paper makes an attempt to explore the current status of Gender Ratio in Maharashtra.

 Abstract

Abstract: Millennium development goals have now been replaced by Sustainable development goals. Some unfinished jobs have been prioritized again within Sustainable development goals in a more holistic way for making a better planet for future generations. It has targeted to achieve access to adequate and equitable sanitation and hygiene for all and end open defecation, paying special attention to the needs of women and girls and those in vulnerable situations by 2030. UNICEF (2018) estimated that, 1 in 7 people or 946 million people practice open defecation, 9 out of 10 people who practice open defecation live in rural areas and India has the largest number of people still defecating in the open. Now, lack of proper sanitation facility, improper disposal of human excreta, lack of personal hygiene lead to various diseases, increase in morbidity and mortality. Apart from affecting the health of the people poor sanitation creates social as well as economic poverty. Girls and women suffer the most in search of a safe and suitable place for defecation. Increasing dropout of girl student and incident of sexual harassment have become matter of shame for India. From this backdrop this paper tries to represent the status of sanitation of rural Sundarban of West Bengal. Namkhana block of South Twenty Four Parganas district in West Bengal has been selected as the study area and a part of Amarabati village of Namkhana block will represent the profile of individual households in rural Sundarban as a case study.

 Abstract

Indian institution of inequality has been carefully built in the shape of a caste system from ancient times. Traditionally, the Dalits are lower caste people considered untouchable and socially, economically and politically discriminated against. About a sixth of the population in India is made up of Dalits. They are protected by the 1989 'Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes' Act, however due to the occurrence of numerous cases of atrocities, there are in doubt an effective execution of this specific Act. This essay thus tries to explain the process of creating a social environment to avoid atrocities against Dalits with special reference to the Ganda caste. Custodial torture and death in India are widespread and estimates show that during 2016-2018, an average of 1800 persons perished each year in police custody. Failure to adequately raise awareness and educate police officers in the area of human rights, the severe lack of policies and laws to incriminate custodial police officers, prejudices and discrimination along caste, clan and social class lines contribute significantly to the diseased nature of custodial torture. Police torture does not take place in isolation, but because the structural reform has failed to hold government agencies responsible and inform them of their fundamental responsibilities as civil employees. Torture prevention was one of the major advances in the past decade in respect of human rights. The problem has gained significance, given India's significant involvement in seating the Security Council.

 Abstract

Financial Management as the name suggests is management of finance. The objective of Financial Management is to make efficient use of economic resources mainly capital. Financial management at UPCL becomes important to analyse because it receives funds from state government and central government whose mismanagement has large opportunity costs for the people of Uttarakhand. The face value of shares implying that the capital has been eroded due to inefficient financial management at UPCL. This further implies that if the situation remains so, UPCL would face acute shortage of funds (in absence of government grants and subsidies) and would not be able to carry on business in future. Modal value of ranks for Financial Viability of UPCL (on basis of Risk Analysis and Solvency Analysis) is 3 implying poor position of UPCL which is interpreted as poor capital and financial structure of UPCL.
