Cement manufacturing industries emits 5% of global carbon di-oxide which in turns leads to the main causes for the global warming. To reduce the effects we can replace the cement with industrial by- product like silica fume, fly-ash and so on. In this paper we have replaced cement totally with silica fume and fly-ash. By replacing with the proportions of fly-ash (80%) and Silica fume (20%), it showed a greater strength result.

River, lake and pond water pollution is a global problem. However, rising pollution of rivers, lake and pond in India is a significant concern for the Indian government and population. India is home to about 20 major river basins. Unfortunately, most rivers and river basins in India are victims of pollution. However, pollutant impurities that impede adequate supply of water have a detrimental effect on the quality and harmful for living organisms including aquatic life. For the reduction of water pollution level, various chemical and biological treatments are available but the emergence of an amazing technology of a multiculture of anaerobic and aerobic beneficial microorganisms is presently gaining popularity due to its environmentally friendly nature. This effective microorganism (EM) technology uses naturally occurring microorganisms which are able to purify and revive nature. Applications of EM by through Bhosa Ball using the have been experimented in Yamuna rivers water.Principal objective of enhancing and improving the water quality. The role of EM-based Bhosa Ball, water restoration approach for sustainability of water resources and prospects of modeling are also discussed. Results clearly demonstrated the effectiveness of this technique for restoration of water quality of degraded/polluted river water. Valuable lines for further research and acceptance of EM technology for the future are thus suggested as it is believed to be the key to sustained environmental improvement and offers a real opportunity for eco-innovation.

Nations all over the globe try to meet the expanding learning needs of children. The primary task of the developing countries is to meet the basic learning needs of providing primary education to the younger section of the population. The data on Trends in School Age Population reveals that in 2000 A.D. six out of every seven primary school children in the world in the age group 6-11 were from the developing countries.1 This vast potential human resource needs functional literacy and numeracy to function as a member of the world community. Recent research studies have produced a considerable amount of evidence to suggest that primary schooling makes a significant contribution to economic and social development.2 Data from 20 countries, which included India and other developing countries, has indicated that the average social rate of return is significantly higher on primary education (26.2 %), than secondary education (13.5 %) and higher education (11.3 %).3

The Yamuna River is the second largest tributary of Ganges .It is originating from the Yamunotri Glacier at a height of 6,387 meters on the southwestern slopes of Banderpooch peaks of the lower Himalaya in Uttrakhand. It travels a total length of 1,376 kilometers. It is one of the most polluted rivers in India. Yamuna river flows only for 54 kilometers from Palla to Baderpur through Delhi, the 22 km stretch from Wazirabad to Okhla, which is the less than 2 percent of the river length of 1370 kilometers from Yamunotri to Prayagraj, accounts of about 76 percent of the pollution level in the river. This 2 percent stretch from Wazirabad to Okhla has maximum discharge of untreated industrial and domestic waste. The undeveloped sewerage system and unavailability of sewerage lines in Delhi are affecting the water quality of Yamuna River by falling of untreated sewage water through the open drains. The 21 drains discharge around 850 MGD (million gallons per day) of sewage into the Yamuna every day. Looking to the severe condition of the sewerage system, it was decided to carry out a study to analyze the effect of open drainage system on water quality (Physico-chemical parameters) of Yamuna River and status of sewage generation and treatment.
