This project is a novel GUI application, to facilitate the students of the LPU. Through this web application students can buy, sell, donate the books or other study material they are having to the needy students through an online platform. Through this web application, the vendors will also be targeted so that students save their time spent in searching the books. Students can put their book request directly to the vendor by searching the vendor database. Students/vendors will post a ad of books and interested students can buy through online payment mode. Delivery of the books will be free and buyer will be notified about the status of delivery through the text message and email: To validate the seller, valid ID proof of each seller (whether student or vendor) will be asked during registration. Main idea is to save the time and money that students spend in searching the study material or book and to encourage the students to donate the books to needy students.

Everything is originated in water, everything is sustained by water. The presence of water on earth makes earth the home for all living organisms. History reveals that all major world civilizations flourished around the water resources. Two percent of the water is locked up in ice caps and glaciers leaving only one percent available as portable fresh water. India is a country of plentiful natural resources including numerous streams, lakes and other water bodies. If the utilization of water is not planned and overseen economically, the nation would confront an extreme water emergency in the near future which may negatively influence the fate of the country.

Nowadays due to increasing temperature conditions the application of different heat exchangers are to be developed to increase its performance. These heat exchangers are used in applications such as refrigeration, air conditioning systems, power plants, chemical processing systems, food processing units, automobile radiators and waste heat recovery units. In this study heat transfer analysis was done on the W Pipe heat exchanger type of coil. This analysis was performed for enhancement of heat transfer in a pipe using Nano fluids as coolants. Nano-particles such as Al2O3 and SiO2 are used along with base fluid water. Different concentrations such as 0.5%, 1%, 1.5% & 2% of nanoparticles are mixed with water. The study is done virtually by using ANSYS 15.0 fluent platform. Properties of Nano fluids are determined by using the formulations followed by base papers. The results such as pressure, velocity and heat transfer coefficient are determined. Results proved that Al2O3 has high heat transfer rate and also it is studied that SiO2 with water has high-pressure increase

In the present study, the chitosan biopolymer was extracted from the bacterial and fungal species- Pseudomonas fluorescens, Aspergillus niger and Rhizopus oryzae. The chitosan was characterized by chemical treatment with iodine and concentrated sulphuric acid, characteristic colour change was observed, it indicates a positive result. The Chitosan yield was maximum in bacteria (Chitosan from Pseudomonas fluorescens 63%) than fungi (Aspergillus niger 20% and Rhizopus oryzae 15%) comparatively after 5 days of fermentation. Characterization by FTIR also confirms similar chitosan functional groups presence in the microbially extracted chitosan. The extracted chitosan was subjected to antimicrobial activity, and it was found that the extracted Chitosan was active against the bacteria (Bacillus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Staphylococcus aureus) and fungi (Candida albicans). In addition to the antimicrobial property of chitosan and drug, a combination of both chitosan and drug show higher antimicrobial activity when compared with the standard chitosan and drug. Thus, microbial chitosan could have potential in medical and agricultural applications. We can conclude that the strains used in the above work are promising sources for chitosan production. By recent developments in pharmaceutical biotechnology, these strains can be genetically manipulated and further optimized for getting better results in producing a quality and economical Chitosan.

Abstract: This paper introduces quit-based job separation in the canonical DMP model. Here, we assume that a job is destroyed when worker quits the job and this can happen when wage paid to the labour is less than the reservation wage. This implies that job separation is endogenized by linking it to the reservation wage. In this quit-based job separation model we find that higher match productivity decreases steady state unemployment rate, but higher unemployment income and larger labour share increase this. Although we get similar results in the DMP model where separation occurs due to productivity shocks, our results are less calibrated in the regime of higher productivity and larger labour share.
