Plants being important source of medicine used time immemorial to cure various arthritic problems. Also the efficacy of drugs elucidated from plant depends on proper identification of plants at molecular level. This behaves as reliable method when compared to morphological characteristics alone and avoids usage of incorrect plant leading to poisoning, side effects etc. DNA barcoding methods have been shown to be an effective tool for species authentication targeting specific genes from genomic DNA which is widely used in molecular plant taxonomy. Thus, the goal of our study was to perform field survey to collect anti-arthritic plants present in and around Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka and subject them for DNA barcoding technique to authenticate those medicinal plants. DNA samples were extracted from shortlisted 6 plants such as Cardiospermum helicacabum, Kirganelia reticulata, Pongamia pinnata, Scoparia dulcis, Urena lobata and Vitex negundo, chosen based on their therapeutic efficacy and usage in traditional medicine. MatK, ITS2, Rbcl and PetB genes were selected to be best molecular markers for identification purposes. The mentioned genes were amplified using PCR and subjected to Sanger sequencing. The sequences were screened in NCBI BLAST for species identification and phylogenetice analysis was studies using Clustal Omega. Our findings authenticated the plant species as well as to determine their closely related species. Hence, DNA barcoding technique acted as a potential and simple method to authenticate selected plants which had ethnobotanical claim to treat arthritis.

Woman has to go through many cycles in her life i.e. puberty, birth process etc. Women health tends to concentrate exclusively on the childbearing years, and, on problems directly related to pregnancy and childbirth, but women's health needs extend throughout their life cycle, and beyond their reproductive role. Besides the special health needs related to reproduction and childbearing, women are also exposed to most of the health hazards which affect the life of women.

A sewage treatment plant is quite necessary to receive the domestic and commercial waste and removes the materials which pose harm for general public. Its objective is to produce an environmentally-safe fluid waste stream (or treated effluent) and a solid waste (or treated sludge) suitable for disposal or reuse (usually as farm fertilizer).A study on domestic waste water characterization has been performed followed by the design of sewage treatment plant. The present study involves the analysis of pH value, total solids, total suspended solids, hardness, acidity, oils fats & greases, chloride, BOD and DO etc. The samplings of the domestic waste have been done in different times of the day to have an average data of the measured parameters. Depending upon the values of these parameters, calculations are done for designing the different units of a 30 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant and a preliminary layout is prepared for the same.

The movement of a person from one place to another during his/her unhealthy condition becomes a tedious task. It is required to move the patient with in the hospital campus for the and helping staff. The main objective of this wheel chair system project is recommended to control a wheel chair by using speech recognition module. The system is designed to control a wheel chair using the commands of person. The objective of this project is to provide the movement of the people who are disabled and early people who are not able to move well. The goal of this system will allow certain people to live a life with less dependence on other for their movement as a daily need. Speech recognition technology is a key technology which will provide a new way of human interaction with machine or tools. Therefore, the problem that they face can be solved by using speech recognition technology technology for the movement of wheel chair. This can be realized and optimized with use of the smart phone device as an intermediary or interface. In this project interface have been designed therefore to develop a program for commands also commands also control the movement of chair and handle or manage the graphical commands. This project uses Arduino circuit and DC motors to create the movement of wheel chair. Here for the patients, we are arranging Oxygen cylinder BVM bag and a servo Motor. When switch is pressed then servo motor will ON and presses the BVM Bag which is attached to Oxygen Cylinder.

Objective: Simple, sensitive, precise and accurate method for quantitative determination of drugs viz., CetirizineDihydrochloride (CTZ), Imatinib Mesylate (ITM), Voriconazole (VCZ) have been developed. Method: This method depends upon the oxidation of the drugs by a known excess N-Bromosuccinimide (NBS) in Hydrochloric acid medium and subsequent determination of unreacted NBS by using Rhodamine-B dye. Results: The quantity of the drug present in commercial tablets with no interference of the excipients was assessed by applying this proposed method. This method has been validated in terms of LOD, LOQ, precision, accuracy, %RSD, robustness and ruggedness. Factors affecting the absorbance viz., time of reaction and concentration of Hydrochloric acid are optimized. The presence of excipients has also been examined and found no effect. The calibration curves are found effective for the assessment of pure drug and pharmaceuticals. These curves also can be applied in bulk drug and pharmaceutical industries.

Indian women writers like Kamala Das, Anita Desai, Kamala Markandaya, Nayantara Sahgal, and Shobha De wrote about the exploitation and injustice faced by the women. They throw light on women's frustration and their struggle in Indian society in their writings. Shashi Deshpande achieved an important place among the list of Indian women writers who talk about the condition of women of every class of Indian society with their different social problems in her novels. She also paints her stories with a tinge of feminism that glorifies female identity. In her novel That Long Silence, she tries to present the image of an educated Indian woman through the character of Jaya who is entangled between the conventional roles that society expected her to do and the other that her own heart craves for something else. She lost her identity and self-confidence by suppressing her desires unconsciously over time. This study aims at making an in-depth study of Shashi Deshpande's novel That Long Silence and revolves around Jaya's battle between tradition and modernity and then her triumph after self-recognition and self-realization of her powers and potential. It focuses on the fact that the women should not be a victim, but bold enough to accept the challenges of life and fight with them courageously.

Food is directly related to growth, maturation and reproduction. The study of the natural diet of prawns has gained greater significance owing to their importance in commercial aquaculture practices all over the world. By studying the natural diet, it is also possible to formulate artificial feeds for the commercial culture of prawns. Since direct observations of prawns feeding in the sea are difficult, the analysis of their guts enables them to know their food and feeding habits and sometimes even feeding grounds. Feeding habits of any animal from different areas directly show the availability of food in that area and the food preferences by the animal. Among the two sexes the females showed more active feeding than the males in all the three fishing areas. It is therefore concluded that M. brevicornis is an omnivorous feeder.

The incidence of NPA is the focal threat of banking sector. The Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) problem is one of the foremost and the most formidable problems that have shaken the whole banking sector in India like an earthquake. Like a cancer worm, it has been eating the banking system from within, since long. It has grown like a cancer and has infected every limb of the banking system. It has an effect on profitability and liquidity along posing threat on asset quality and survival of banks. The NPAs are considered as an important parameter to judge the performance and financial health of banks. The growing NPAs have been a cause of concern for the entire banking industry. Researcher has tried to study the sector wise pattern of Advances and NPA. Between Priority or Non Priority sector, which is more responsible for NPAs. Sector wise analysis showed that NPA in Non Priority Sector was more than priority sector NPA in PNB. Though, there is no significant difference in Industry, Service sector of Priority and Non Priority Sector NPA but there is significant difference in Agriculture and Personal Loan sector of Priority and Non Priority Sector NPA.
