The M-type strontium hexagonal ferrite with molecular formula SrCexDyFe11-xO19 for x=0.00, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75 and 1were prepared by sol gel auto combustion method with citric acid as a chelating agent and metal to nitrates ration as an 1:3 with maintaining Ph 7. The powder was sintered at temperature 900o for 6 hours to get a stable product of strontium hexagonal ferrite. After sintering the powder grounded into fine powder and pressed in to pellets by using manual Hydraulic pellet press capacity 1-5 Ton. The dielectric properties studied using LCR meter with varying frequency at room temperature. It was observed that as the frequency increases dielectric constant decreases.

Abstract;- The Nairs were the original inhabitants of South India who engaged fulltime in agricultural pursuits . The Aryanisation brought about complete change in their social life. They raised them to the rank of Kshatriyas, for they performed the duties of the feudal soldiers, particularly the protection of the land and people. But the formation of the modern state of Travancore by Marthanda Varma. coming of Europeans, western military training, decline of traditional martial arts etc caused the decline of Nair militia system in Travancore.

Turbidity is one of the major culprits which help microbes present in water and waste water to survive. Also drastically impact the water treatment efficiency mainly the process of disinfection. Coagulants such as Alum, PAC (Poly Aluminium Chloride), FeCl3 etc, are majorly used for the turbidity removal in water. Among this Alum is the most widely used coagulant in water treatment, because of its proven performance and cost effectiveness. Although alum has a proven track record, usage of same in drinking water system increases the concentration of Aluminium ion which does not falls under the WHO (World Health Organization) norms of drinking water standards. Hence this study would be an alternate approach for turbidity reduction in water by using natural coagulants. Different studies in ancient Tamil Literature show Strychnos potatorum Linn or Nirmali seed act as a best coagulating agent, which in turn helps in removal of turbidity in water. This study was done to evaluate the effectiveness of Strychnos potatorum Linn seed extract in removal of turbidity from the selected water samples. An existing water softener system of capacity 2 m3/hr from a Residential Apartment named M/s.Ozone Pavillion was selected with an existing scheme of Alum dosing system, Pressure sand filter, Activated Carbon filter and Softener. In this scheme the Alum dosing was replaced with Strychnos potatorum Linn seed extract dosing and the softener filter was bypassed. Two different water samples were selected (Bore Well Water and Surface Water) and jar test was performed with the Strychnos potatorum Linn extract to arrive the best suited dose for the turbidity reduction. Here the jar test performed with different concentration of Strychnos potatorum Linn extract starting from 20 mg/l to 60 mg/l and selected the concentration of 60 mg/l as the best suited dose for turbidity reduction. The selected concentration was used for a pilot plant study in the existing water treatment plant designed by M/s. Green Enviro Polestar. The study showed the turbidity removal efficiency of 40% to 60% and highly emphasizes the usage of Strychnos potatorum Linn seed extract as a natural coagulant in water treatment systems.

BACKGROUND: Substance abuse is one of the major health and social problems all over the world. Globally Substance/drug abuse is growing problem and out of this it is more common among young children and adolescent,Substance dependency cause violence, trauma, pre mature death, unsafe sex, organ systems failure, peptic and gastric ulcers, cirrhosis of liver and poor nutritional status of the family. Families of substance dependent persons have often faulty, inappropriate communication leading to emotional isolation among the society and family members. AIM: This study is aimed to assess the impact of educational intervention on knowledge and coping abilities related to substance abuse among inmates in de-addiction centers of selected districts, Rajasthan. METHODS: Quantitative research approach and Pre experimental one group pre test post test research design was used to assess the impact of educational intervention among inmates of de-addiction centres. 300 inmates selected by non probability, convenience sampling technique. Data were collected by using socio demographic sheet, knowledge questionnaire and coping abilities scale. RESULTS: Pre-test mean score of substance users for knowledge and coping abilities was very low. A statistically significant increase in mean knowledge and coping abilities score from baseline to post-test (p=<0.001) was seen after intervention. CONCLUSION: Thus, findings conclude that educational intervention was highly effective in improving knowledge and coping abilities of substance users at post test.

NEED FOR STRONGER LAWS AGAINST HATE SPEECH ABSTRACT: Hate speech is a threat to values of democracy, social peace, and social stability. Hate speech must be confronted at all times as a matter of principle. Even if a situation worsens and the weak become victims, silence can show apathy to racism and intolerance. Combating hate speech is also critical for advancing the agenda by assisting in preventing armed conflict, atrocity crimes, and terrorism, the elimination of violence against women, other serious human rights violations, and the promotion of peaceful, inclusive, and just societies. "Hate discourse is interrelated to the opportunity of expression, person, group, and minority rights, as well as standards of nobility, uniformity, and individual security." Millions of tons of waste is produced in the world each year and most of it is not recyclable. Furthermore, recycling waste consumes energy and produces pollution. In addition , accumulation of waste in the suburbs and the disposal of waste are very dangerous for the environment. Using waste material in concrete production is an appropriate method for achieving two goals: eliminating waste and adding positive properties in concrete. Since the green concrete industry is expanding, it is necessary to evaluate concrete that contains waste from all aspects in order to determine its capability. This literature study consists of two parts i.e. the use of waste as a substitute for cement and as a substitute for aggregates. Leading waste material that has been used as substitutes is highlighted and the characteristics of the resulting concrete is evaluated. Ductility, strength, durability, etc. of concrete may be improved using waste materials.

Abstract:- Wetland is among the most productive ecosystems in the world. Aquatic weeds always thrive in places of marshy lands and water logged areas of the world. The aquatic plants are the most important component of the aquatic ecosystem. Aquatic plants are key components for the well functioning of wetland ecosystem for biological productivity and support diverse organisms and there by provide lots of goods and services for the dependent people. Due to rapid pace of urbanization formation of new human settlements and Industrialization weeds are in serve threat of extinction. It is there for an urgent and almost need to record and to access diversity potentially of these aquatic plant communities before they will vanish forever. No elaborate study regarding the aquatic weeds or mycrophytes of Washim district Maharashtra has been carried out up to the date. So the present work is the first contribution to the biodiversity of aquatic weeds in Washim, Maharashtra, India. During the present study from August 2015 to January 2016, 8 species of fresh water aquatic weeds viz. Hydrilla, Eicchornia, Duckweed, Vallisneria, Pistia, M.algae, Typha, Nymphaea have been reported from various wetlands such as Ekburji dam ,Dev talav, Padmtirtha and Narayan baba talav in Washim region.

Known for its utmost beauty, Himachal Pradesh is one of the coldest states of India. Parts of it, experience heavy snowfall and parts of it, experience heavy rain. The traditional construction techniques were a result of the cold weather, the prevailing winds and the uneven topography. This resulted in forming techniques which were climate responsive. Now days, people are shifting from the traditional construction methods to modern day construction. Due to this, the new generation is losing touch from the construction styles which were formed by the living experiences of the previous generation. This paper will focus on the details of a typical vernacular house in the Kangra valley region of Himachal Pradesh.

Portuguese power in Kerala ruined the trade monopoly of the Arabs in Malabar Coast. Defeating all other colonial powers, the English East India Company established its authority and became the dominant political power in South India after the Sreeranga Pattanam Treaty in 1792. Malabar had a traditional land revenue system which was changed by the Mysore sultans, and ultimately by the British government. The company introduced the Western type of land reforms. All their reforms protected the interest of the Land Lords. Jenmis were recognized as the Lords of Lands. It weakened the relationship between Land Lords and tenants. The tenants were evicted with the support of colonial courts. The Mappila tenants in South Malabar lost their land and it led to outrages. Even though the British government appointed land reform committees, the complaints of the Tenants continued. It became the major reason for the nationalist movement in Malabar.

Blood is the key evidence in most of the crime scenes which help in establishing the link between the offender and crime scene. For the accurate analysis of suspected blood sample received from the crime scene require a proper collection, packaging and preservation. For the examination of blood, a multistage process is follows in forensic science laboratories. But before going for these steps, presumptive tests are used for preliminary identification of blood. Conventionally Kastle- Meyer and LMG (Leucomalachite Green) tests are used for forensic identification of blood. The aim of this study is to compare the sensitivity and specificity of both Kastle- Meyer and LMG (Leucomalachite Green) tests with accordance to the time of development of color reaction. For this purpose, both fresh and dried blood-stained samples were used to compare the rate of sensitivity of the tests. From this study it is concluded that the sensitivity and specificity of Kastle- Meyer test is more than the LMG (Leucomalachite Green) test for both fresh and dried blood samples. Kastle- Meyer test gives instant results for the blood within 5-20 sec as compare to LMG (Leucomalachite Green) test. Absence of any significant difference between the fresh and dried blood samples for the development of color reaction.
