 Abstract

Abstract In recent years, Indian startups have seen amazing transformations. With a booming economy, favourable government regulations, and a vibrant entrepreneurial culture, India has emerged as a hotspot for entrepreneurs and innovation. Over time, the country has seen an increase in entrepreneurial endeavours in a variety of industries, including technology, ecommerce, healthcare, finance, and others. Technology improvements have had a significant influence on the Indian startup environment. The increased use of mobile devices and the internet has provided new opportunities for entrepreneurs to access and interact with a huge client base. India has emerged as the world's second largest startup ecosystem after the United States. India is a magnet for startups, which are expanding at an exponential rate. The Global Startup Ecosystem Report 2022 ranks Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi in the top 40 startup centers worldwide. In 2021 alone, Indian companies raised more than $23 billion in 1000+ transactions, with 33 businesses joining the coveted unicorn club. So far in 2022, 13 new unicorn businesses have joined the club. The rising investor trust in Indian startups is astonishing and is observed gathering pace across the various stages of a startup's life cycle. Recent years have seen a tremendous shift in India's entrepreneurial ecosystem, from the formation of new startups to global investor interest to developments in infrastructure and policy. Thus, the research intends to investigate the growth pattern of new ventures, startup factors, and sensitive obstacles for startups in the Indian context. The study has been carried out based on the secondary data and used statistical tools for the data analysis and inference. The study found that the huge scale for the startups in India and vulnerable challenges also impact on the growth of startups. The study also focused further research areas in startups in India.

 Abstract

Humans have migrated throughout history. People migrate for different reasons, such as reuniting with their families; seeking better economic opportunities; and escaping human rights abuses, including armed conflict, persecution, and torture. Migrants are generally entitled to the same human rights protections as all individuals, although States may limit migrants' rights in some ways, such as with regard to voting and political participation. Many human rights treaties explicitly prohibit discrimination on the basis of national origin and require States to ensure that migrants' human rights are equally protected. Additionally, like other particularly vulnerable groups, migrants have been given special protections under international law, to address situations where their rights are most at risk, such as in the workplace, in detention, or in transit. According to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), all migrants, regardless of their status, are entitled to the same international human rights as everyone else. This means that states have an obligation to respect, protect, and fulfill the human rights of migrants. Current paper analyses the human rights of migrants on international level also on national level.

 Abstract

The Raman spectra of crystalline and amorphous solids of the same chemical composition can be significantly different primarily because of the presence or absence of spatial order and long range translational symmetry, respectively. The purpose or goal of this installment of Molecular Spectroscopy Workbench is to help readers understand the underlying physics that affect the Raman spectra of crystalline and amorphous solids. Wave vector, reciprocal space, and the Brillouin zone are explained with respect to Raman spectroscopy of solids.

 Abstract

Samples of doped polyaniline (emeraldine salt) were prepared with protonic acid dopants, namely, hydrochloric acid (HCl). Using the two-point probe method, it was found that the samples had ohmic behavior in which high linear coefficients. The doped sample had a highest conductivity of 1.2x10-4S/cm was observed for the HCl doped sample, while the lowest value 7.59x10-6 S/cm. These conductivities were compared with the computed energy gap between the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) where it was found that they are inversely proportional to each other. Field scanning electron microscopy revealed significant differences among the samples in terms of morphology.

 Abstract

Carbon nanotube(CNTs) represent one of the best novel nanostructures which have distinct individual structures, morphologies and properties, and carbon nanotubes have been described as a sheet of graphite rolled into a hollow cylinder and the length and diameter depended on the conditions of synthesis method. The rolling of graphite sheet form two important structure multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWNT) and single-walled carbon nanotube (SWNT) where the two structure have special properties and wide application like chemical, biological, electrical, medical, sensor, physical and other application. In the present paper , the various synthesis methods have been discussed which produce the carbon nanotube in huge quantity, more purities and selective structure.

 Abstract

From the mythical age to the post-modern era, from rural culture to urban elitism, rape has been used as a deadly weapon by the society to dominate women. After establishment of the myth of 'pure' and 'impure' body in our patriarchal society, rape has become a very useful tool to marginalize them. Sometimes even social hegemony uses this heinous act to control, subjugate, punish and marginalize the 'second sex', or in turn, the forces of anti-state rebellion. Because it not only affects the body and soul of the victims, but also of the female sex in general and even the sensible men as well. In Mahasweta Devi's short story 'Draupadi', the protagonist, Dopdi Mejhen, is brutally subjected to gang-rape through the whole night by a number of policemen. The narrative proceeds to portray how she retaliates against her perpetrators in her unique way. The present paper concentrates on how the process of marginalization of the rape victims is countered by the so called 'shamelessness' of the victim herself; how the social matrix is being subverted by the transformation of the response register, where defence is transformed into offence; and also the new language of resistance and the new diction of protest, that are flourished in Mahasweta Devi's short story, 'Draupadi'.

 Abstract

The two neighbors, India and Bangladesh, are organically linked- with their common heritage and shared history, common memories of tragic loss, and the separation of families on a massive scale following the Partition of India in 1947. India and Bangladesh are not just neighbours, but are bound by an umbilical connection of ethnicity and kinship. India attaches highest importance to bilateral relations with Bangladesh because of our shared history, heritage, culture, language, physical proximity and passion for music, literature and arts. Also, Rabindranath Tagore created the national anthems of both Bangladesh and India in 1905 and in 1911 respectively. However the bilateral relations between the two Nations formally started after the Bangladesh liberation war, 1971 which had played a key role along with the Mukhti Bahini, thus helping East Pakistan (as called then) to separate from Pakistan and emerge as an independence nation. India was the first country to recognize Bangladesh as a separate and independent State and established diplomatic relations with the country immediately after its independence in December 1971. The two nations can together play a significant role for the development and prosperity of the entire subcontinent and beyond. The edifice of this unique relationship between the two neighboring nations are based on the unwavering faith in democratic values, principles of liberalism, egalitarianism, secularism and respect for each Other sovereignty and integrity. The cordial relation is reflected through multidimensional expanding relations between the two countries in the four decades, the two countries have continued to consolidate their relations, and have built a comprehensive institutional framework to promote bilateral cooperation in all areas. The relations between the two countries have been characterized as a special relationship although some disputes remain unresolved. The historic land boundary agreement was signed on 6th June 2015 which settled decades old disputes, while negotiations are still ongoing over the sharing of water of the Trans Boundary Rivers. In this context my paper would traces the disputes on the Trans Boundary river water sharing between the two countries.

 Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the effect of physical training and a combination of physical and yogic training on motor fitness component of college level Handball players. 45 male players from Alipurduar district in West Bengal, India, aged 18-20, were randomly selected for the study. The study was conducted using a true random group design, consisting of a pre-test and post-test. The participants were divided into three groups: physical training (Experimental Group 1), combined physical and yogic training (Experimental Group 2), and control group (Experimental Group 3). Pre-tests was conducted on Abdominal muscular strength. The experimental groups participated in their respective physical training, combined physical and yogic practices for six weeks. Post-tests were conducted on this dependent variable after six weeks. The analysis of variance (ANCOVA) statistical technique was used to test the adjusted post-test mean differences among the experimental groups. Scheffe's post hoc test was used to find paired mean significant differences (Thirumalaisamy A. 1995). The descriptive analysis revealed that performance-related factors influenced both the physical training group and the combined group equally. Both groups had chances to develop physical factors, and the incorporation of yogic exercises with the training was found to be the prime source for such significance. The study highlights the importance of incorporating yogic exercises in sports training for improved motor fitness.

 Abstract

The impact of media on children today is a multifaceted issue with both positive and negative implications. This abstract examines how various forms of media influence children's development, behavior, and attitudes. Positive effects include educational benefits from well-designed content, fostering cognitive growth and cultural understanding. However, negative impacts encompass exposure to inappropriate or violent content, potential for cyberbullying, and skewed perceptions of body image. The role of parents in guiding media usage and promoting media literacy is crucial. To mitigate negative effects and enhance positive outcomes, a balanced and informed approach to media consumption is essential for children's well-rounded development.

 Abstract

This paper presents a study on the use of Excel Solver techniques for solving quadratic optimization problems. Quadratic optimization is a mathematical optimization technique used to solve optimization problems that involve nonlinear objective functions and/or nonlinear constraints. Excel Solver is a widely-used tool for optimization problems, and it has made it easier for researchers and practitioners to apply quadratic optimization to a wide range of problems in various fields. We demonstrate the effectiveness of Excel Solver in finding optimal solutions to quadratic optimization problems and compare the results to other optimization techniques. Our findings indicate that Excel Solver can be an effective tool for solving quadratic optimization problems and has significant potential for use in a wide range of applications.

 Abstract

Women's agency and social status affected their standing in family planning decision-making. Given the magnitude of the family planning programme in India, there is a need to strengthen the coordination of all its aspects, focusing on planning, programmes, monitoring, training and procurement. Women's intent of using family planning services/methods was influenced by multiple factors such as socio-demographic characteristics. Fear of side-effects of contraception methods, access to information and support, and cultural and religious beliefs hindered the use of modern methods of contraceptive. Undesirable attitudes of service providers influenced underutilisation of family planning services. Ineffective contraceptive choice counselling, particularly for poor section of the community and high-risk groups were reported. While considering inter-pregnancy interval, some of the women opted for induced abortion to terminate unplanned pregnancy however, had meagre acceptance for using modern contraceptive methods. There is a need for greater male participation both as enablers and beneficiaries and also address the sexual and reproductive needs of the youth. It is imperative for the government to ensure the prioritization of family planning in the national development agenda.

 Abstract

Financial inclusion (FI) refers to the provision of financial services in an accessible and straightforward manner that is also reasonably priced and able to serve a sizable portion of the underprivileged and low-income population. For India to become a major player in the world of the socially and economically underprivileged groups, FI is a necessity. In the current situation, financial institutions serve as the cornerstones of development, growth, and advancement. This study's objective is to investigate how FI affects economic expansion. Various multiple regression statistical approaches are used to analyse secondary data. The study's findings indicated that the number of bank branches and the credit deposit ratio have a favourable and significant impact on India's GDP. The findings also indicated that the expansion of ATMs had a little effect on India's GDP. This research makes an effort to investigate the FI in India as a whole.

 Abstract

Education is crucial for human growth in a rapidly changing society. Despite India's economic growth, the country faces socio-economic challenges. Education is seen as the key solution to address these obstacles and propel the nation forward. The National Policy on Education 1986 and the Programme of Action 1992 aimed to provide free and compulsory education of satisfactory quality to all children below 14 years of age. However, these policies fell short of addressing the challenges at a global level. The National Education Policy of 2020, approved by the Government of India, replaces the 1986 policy after 34 years. It introduces significant reforms, including renaming the Ministry of Human Resources and Development as the Ministry of Education. The policy proposes changes in the regulation and governance of the education system to align with the goals of the 21st century. It allows foreign universities to operate in India's higher education sector and re-structures regulatory bodies like the Universities Grants Commission and the All India Council for Technical Education. The policy emphasizes the use of mother tongue or regional language as the primary medium of instruction up to Class 5 and promotes formative assessments and peer review systems. It establishes a National Assessment Centre and aims to create a more contemporary and future-oriented learning experience. It aims to bridge gaps in India's education system and achieve the Sustainable Development Goal of 2030 for inclusive and quality education. NEP 2020 seems to be positive in theory but in practical it is challenging. This paper highlights both opportunities and challenges in National Education Policy 2020.

 Abstract

The value of customers has evolved into a crucial component of preserving competitive edge in the retail sector. In the age of new retail, the value of customers is intimately tied to innovations like services with value and original business models in addition to how much a product costs. In this article, we examine how revenue-sharing agreements and customer value affect the collaborative investment in innovation and pricing decisions made in a retailer-supplier supply chain. First, we discover that only the provider Stackelberg game achieves equilibrium in the non-cooperative game. Contracts for revenue sharing, however, are unable to synchronise the supply chain in a competitive game. We discover that there is a particular equilibrium for the Nash bargaining product when taking into account the bargaining strength of supply chain participants. Additionally, revenue sharing agreements can synchronise the supply chain to maximise consumer excess. When the supply chain is coordinated, the profit is divided among the participants according to their negotiating strength.
