Herpes Zoster (HZ) is caused by varicella zoster virus (VZV) due to reactivation of latent virus from dorsal root ganglia or cranial nerve ganglia. This occurs in up to 15% of individuals following varicella infection, frequently in adults, and the latent period varies from several weeks to years. 1 Disseminated herpes zoster is defined as at least 20 vesicles in multiple dermatomes. In particular, it has been reported mainly in patients with immunological defects who are at increased risk for visceral involvement of VZV infection, which may affect vital organs such as the brain, liver and lungs. These patients are at increased risk for diagnostic delay and morbidity in the absence of high clinical suspicion for disseminated HZ. 2 Human immunodeficiency virus infections, chronic infections, primary immunodeficiency syndrome, and immunosuppressive therapy are important causes of disseminated herpes zoster. Herein, we report a case series of disseminated herpes zoster infection.

Christie's lack of emotive Crescendos helps to mask her casual droppings of crucial clues in the complex games she plays with readers. These obscure yet purposeful droppings of the clues never let everything out of the box, but are held in by the detective. However, the reader is engaged in being part of the 3 kinds of deductions in the novel- Reader, Narrator, and Detective. Agatha Christie's strategic placement comes into light to scrutinize the tiniest to the largest clues provided, catapulting all the accumulated stories surrounding the characters, resulting in the reader's helplessness in finding the true culprit, however, one can never downplay her dramatic 'RoundTable', the most perfect dramatic endings stage.

Secondary cardiac tumors remain a severe and relatively rare pathology but belong to a rapidly expanding field of cardio oncology. They constitute a highly heterogeneous group of pathologies whose clinical manifestations vary according to tumor size and location. These tumors are typically associated with advanced stages of the primary tumor and therefore have a poor prognosis. We report 2 cases of secondary cardiac tumors, the 1st a cardiac metastasis of a primary mediastinal sarcoma and the 2nd a uterine leiomyosarcoma. In these 2 cases, we will review the clinical presentation of cardiac metastases and discuss the mode of dissemination, depending on the primary location. Through a review of the literature, we also take stock of the evolutionary and therapeutic modalities of cardiac metastases.

The study's objective is to determine social media's influence on the fashion industry. Social media in the fashion industry refers to the use of social media platforms by fashion designers and users to promote and participate in trends. Over the past several decades, the development of social media has increased along with its usage by consumers. During COVID-19 social media has come more into the picture and created new advertising channels for fashion-oriented houses to reach their target markets. Since its surge in 2009, luxury fashion brands have used social media to build interactions between the brand and its customers to increase awareness and engagement. The emergence of influencers on social media has created a new way of advertising and maintaining customer relationships in the fashion industry. Numerous social media platforms are used to promote fashion trends, with Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube being the most popular among Generation Y and Z. The overall impact of social media in the fashion industry included the creation of online communities, direct communication between industry leaders and consumers, and criticized ideals promoted by the industry through social media.

A strong connection with a language often leads to an attraction to that language and an interest in its associated culture. For Muslims worldwide, the Arabic language holds significant importance as it is the medium of Islamic basic sources, creating a profound relationship with Arabic irrespective of their geographical location or native language. This relationship extends to various artistic, cultural, literary, and theatrical expressions. Sri Lankan Muslims are no exception to this influence. Despite prevalent misconceptions attributing this influence to patriarchal factors, this study investigates the impact of Arabic culture and language on the theatrical activities of the Muslim community in the KPW and KPC DS Divisions of the Batticaloa District, Eastern Sri Lanka. The research aims to explain the connection between Sri Lankan Muslims and the Arabic language, introduce Sri Lankan Muslim theatre, and explore the cultural influences of Arabic culture on Muslim theatrical practices. The study reveals that among the Sri Lankan Muslims, particularly those in the KPW and KPC Divisions of the Batticaloa District, various theatrical practices such as drama, Kooththu, dance, Villu Paattu, Kolattam, Pakkeer Baith, Gaseetha songs, and Kuravai have developed with distinct characteristics influenced by Arabic culture and language. These practices frequently incorporate vernacular expressions. The study recommends the revitalization of such theatrical activities in a manner that preserves the original Islamic concepts and religious ideologies, ensuring their continuation as a practical cultural expression.

Objective The objective of this study was to investigate the bioactive compounds present in Tridax procumbens leaves and to evaluate their potential antipsychotic properties. Significance The study is noteworthy since it investigates a natural substitute for the administration of antipsychotics. There is considerable interest in discovering safer and more effective natural chemicals as traditional antipsychotics can have severe adverse effects. An accessible plant called Tridax procumbens may provide a new way to treat psychotic symptoms. Methods To acquire the bioactive components, the leaves of Tridax procumbens were extracted using suitable solvents, such as methanol. To identify and measure the different bioactive chemicals present in the extracts, chromatography techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC-MS) were employed in the analysis process. To identify their probable interactions and modes of action, the discovered compounds were docked with target proteins involved in psychotic symptoms (e.g., monoamine oxidase, NMDA receptor, serotonin receptor , 2 Dopamine receptor). Result The leaves of Tridax procumbens are rich in bioactive substances, such as akuammidine and kaempferol. By affecting the PI3K/Akt pathway, blocking monoamine oxidase, and interacting with NMDA and serotonin receptors, these substances may have antipsychotic effects.

Depression and anxiety are prevalent mental health illnesses that have significant worldwide consequences, impacting millions of individuals who experience chronic feelings of melancholy, excessive worry, and significant limitations in their everyday activities. Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and several anxiety disorders, such as Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), panic disorder, and social anxiety disorder, are defined by severe symptoms that make their treatment more difficult, especially when these illnesses happen at the same time. Gaining a comprehensive understanding of the neuropharmacological mechanisms that are responsible for these illnesses is of utmost importance in order to facilitate the development of treatments that are very effective. The existing therapy approaches, such as Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs) and newer antidepressants, provide partial relief but do not work for everyone. This suggests that further research is necessary to explore the underlying neurological causes of these illnesses. Recent developments in the field of neuropharmacology have provided insights into the significance of imbalances in neurotransmitters, specifically serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine, in the underlying mechanisms of mood disorders. Disruption of the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal (HPA) axis and neuroinflammation are also major factors in the development of these illnesses. This review offers a thorough examination of these pathways, emphasizing the functions of neurotransmitter systems, neurostimulation treatments, and developing pharmaceutical medicines. This study investigates the possibility of new neuropharmacological targets, including NMDA receptor antagonists, AMPA receptor modulators, and neurosteroids, to enhance the effectiveness of treatment. In addition, it discusses non-pharmacological methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), physical activity, and mindfulness, highlighting their neuropharmacological foundations and advantages. This review is to provide an in-depth investigation of the current understanding and approaches to addressing depression and anxiety by including latest research findings. The text discusses crucial therapeutic approaches and presents potential areas of future study that could improve treatment results for these prevalent mental health illnesses.

The results indicate that urban students exhibit significantly higher overall satisfaction with blended learning compared to their rural counterparts. Specifically, 34.3% of urban students report being "Very Satisfied" with the blended learning model, while only 20.0% of rural students share this sentiment. Urban students also perceive blended learning as more effective, with 37.1% rating it as "Highly Effective" compared to 22.9% of rural students. Furthermore, urban students display higher levels of engagement, with 40.0% describing themselves as "Highly Engaged," compared to just 17.1% of rural students. These disparities are largely attributed to the differences in technological infrastructure between the two settings. Urban schools benefit from widespread high-speed internet access and superior technological support, which facilitate a more seamless and effective blended learning experience. In contrast, rural schools often struggle with limited or no internet access and inadequate technological support, leading to lower satisfaction, effectiveness, and engagement among their students. The findings highlight the critical role of technological access in shaping students' blended learning experiences. To address these issues and improve educational outcomes, it is essential to enhance technological infrastructure and support in rural schools. By bridging the digital divide, educational institutions can ensure that all students, regardless of their geographical location, have equitable access to effective blended learning opportunities.
