For many years, milk thistle (Silybum marianum) has been used as a herbal cure for a variety of illnesses. A complex blend of flavonolignans, including silibinin (silybin), silychristin, and silidianin, makes up the main active ingredient "SILYMARIN." Research on pharmacology has shown that silymarin possesses strong anti-inflammatory, antifibrotic, and antioxidant characteristics. Mixed results have come from clinical trials examining the effectiveness of milk thistle in treating a variety of liver illnesses, such as liver cirrhosis, hepatitis B and C, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and alcoholic liver disease. Because of its well-established safety record and low number of documented side effects, milk thistle is a valuable adjunctive treatment. Silymarin's pharmacokinetics shows that it has limited oral bioavailability and poor water solubility, which make it difficult to employ therapeutically. To improve its absorption and bioavailability, advances in formulation technologies, such as the creation of liposomal, nanoparticles, and phytosomes, have been investigated. The goal of this paper is to give a thorough overview of milk thistle's pharmacological characteristics and pharmacokinetics, as well as its possible application in the treatment of liver illnesses and other ailments such as cancer, viral infection, fibrosis, tumorigenesis, inflammation, etc.

Neem bark (Azadirachta indica A. Juss.) was investigated for its effectiveness in adsorbing metal ions from electroplating waste and synthetic solutions, both in batch and continuous-flow experiments. The sorption process was influenced by both pH and concentration, with an optimal pH range of 4 to 5. The equilibrium data were consistent with the Langmuir isotherm model, showing maximum adsorption capacities of 8.48 mg/g for Cu in electroplating waste and 13 to 46 mg/g in synthetic solutions. Competitive studies revealed the metal sorption affinity followed the order: Cu(II) > Cr(III) > Zn(II). In continuous-flow experiments, breakthrough curves for Cu(II) and Zn(II) from electroplating waste were obtained at varying bed depths and flow rates, with Cu(II) showing a higher sorption efficiency on Neem bark powder compared to Zn(II).

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory disease of unknown etiology characterized by a symmetric polyarthritis and is the most common form of chronic inflammatory arthritis. Factors producing RA includes infectious trigger, genetic predisposition and autoimmune response. Since persistently active RA often results in articular cartilage and bone destruction and functional disability, it is vital to diagnose and treat this disease early and aggressively before damage ensues. RA., a systemic disease, may lead to a variety of extra- articular manifestations, including subcutaneous nodules, lung manifestations, pericarditis, peripheral neuropathy, vasculitis and haematologic abnormalities which must be managed accordingly. Despite the progress and advanced treatments, incomplete understanding of the initiating events of RA and the factors perpetuating the chronic inflammatory response remains a barrier to its cure and prevention. In Ayurveda, we can correlate RA, here, with multiple factors like Amavata, Saam vayu, Vatavyadhi, Asthivaha strotas dushti etc. The present case study is a case report of management of a female patient 43 years old with RA. Ayurvedic medication along with modern medicines were found to be effective in this case.

Background & objectives: Epidemiological information and disease prevalence studies have always been vital for planning control strategies and also help in monitoring the impact of interventions to control such diseases. The present study was done to estimate the nature of illnesses found amongst underprivileged sectors in Faridabad to understand the cultural and demographical aspects that may be linked to such common illnesses. Methods: Charitable medical services are free or discounted medical services provided by charitable hospitals or clinics, which are non-profit organisations to people who can't afford treatment. In this cross-sectional study, residents of Faridabad district were clinically assessed and treated for free. Seven rural and 19 urban clusters where nearly 750 people with underprivileged backgrounds came forward for the study. People with ongoing ailments were assessed alongside healthy individuals who required regular health checkups with utmost precaution to prevent community transmission. The treatment protocol revolved around palliative and curative treatment for symptomatic cases and preventative care only, when necessary, for asymptomatic cases. Results: The study was undertaken to identify the prevalence of different diseases. For this, a total of 744 subjects were enumerated in various clusters of the Faridabad district. There were 345(47.58%) females and 390 (52.42%) males examined by the study group. The overall prevalence of malnutrition was found to be quite high (75%) in children below the age of 13 and the same was (57.8%) among females between the age of 13-65. Subjects in the age group 13-65 years were found to have a high prevalence of DM-2 (51.02%), Gastritis (79.6%) and hypertension (30.8%), whereas, elderlies (above the age of 65) showed a large number of patients suffering from hypertension (82.1%) and with the history of ICH (60%). Interpretation & conclusions: The present results showed that the prevalence of biliary diseases, like acute hepatitis, was quite high in children, which can be attributed to the low percentage of vaccinated individuals (3.3%) with 13% of children partially vaccinated. Women and children were more susceptible to malnutrition and anaemia, while men and women below 65 years were seen to have a higher prevalence of DM-2, Hypertension and gastritis. Many elderlies were found to have a history of ICH and persistently high blood pressure. It is suggested that medical counsellors visit families to increase awareness among them about hygienic, healthy living habits & care for the elders, initiate action for free medicines, free health care and free food for the destitute from govt. and non-governmental agencies.

Abstract - Ayurveda describes a condition called Gridhrasi, or sciatica in modern medical parlance, which refers to discomfort and pain along the sciatic nerve pathway. The word "Gridhrasi" refers to a condition where pain metaphorically travels down the leg like the talon of a vulture. It is derived from the Sanskrit words "Gridhra" (vulture) and "Asi" (pain). In Ayurvedic medicine, it is one of the Vata-related disorders.Because sciatica is characterized by pain or discomfort related to the sciatic nerve, the disease is most similar to sciatica. The patient arrived with paraesthesia and numbness in addition to lower back pain that was radiating to both legs. Acharya's treatment in various texts focuses on Agnikarma. Agnikarma therapy relieves pain, inflammation, and stiffness by applying pressure to the affected areas. Internal medicine and Panchakarma treatments are excellent ways to treat Gridhrasi. The 44-year-old female patient in this case study had Panchakarma treatment (Agnikarma) after exhibiting clinical signs of Gridhrasi.

This project proposes a novel approach to assess the Remaining Useful Life (RUL) of lithium-ion batteries by employing a hybrid model combining Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks. The CNN extracts spatial features from battery data, while the LSTM captures temporal dependencies, leading to more accurate RUL predictions. This method aims to improve predictive maintenance and battery management by providing precise estimates of battery health and longevity. The objective is to enhance predictive maintenance strategies and improve battery management systems by accurately forecasting battery degradation. By utilizing CNN for feature extraction and LSTM for sequence prediction, the proposed method aims to capture both spatial and temporal patterns in battery performance data.

Cryopreservation has become a cornerstone of modern reproductive biology, particularly in the field of bovine embryology. This review provides an in-depth analysis of the advancements in cryopreservation techniques, with a focus on the principles, challenges, and emerging trends in the preservation of bovine embryos. The historical evolution of cryopreservation, from early methods fraught with challenges such as ice crystal formation and cellular damage, to the development of advanced vitrification protocols, is thoroughly examined. Vitrification, a rapid freezing technique, has emerged as a superior method over traditional slow freezing, significantly improving post-thaw survival rates by preventing ice formation and reducing cryoprotectant toxicity. The review also explores the critical role of cryoprotectants, detailing their types, toxicity, and strategies for optimization to enhance embryo viability. Furthermore, the article discusses the comparative efficacy of cryopreservation protocols for in vitro-derived and in vivo-derived embryos, highlighting the need for tailored approaches. Emerging technologies, including nanotechnology, microfluidic devices, and the integration of genomic and proteomic analyses, are presented as promising avenues for further enhancing cryopreservation outcomes. The application of cryopreserved embryos in breeding programs, commercial livestock production, and genetic conservation efforts is also addressed, underscoring the significance of cryopreservation in advancing assisted reproductive technologies (ART). As the field continues to evolve, interdisciplinary research and collaboration are emphasized as essential for driving innovation and optimizing cryopreservation protocols, ensuring the sustainability of livestock populations and the continued success of ART.

Mean, standard deviation and mean difference values are compared and student's unpaired 't' test is applied at 5% level of significance. The tabulated value for n=30+30-2 i.e. 58 degrees of freedom was 2.00. The calculated 't' value i.e. 25.99 are much higher than the tabulated value at 5% level of significance for overall episiotomy wound healing score (REDDA scale) of postnatal mothers which is statistically acceptable level of significance. So betadine wash is moderately effective and normal saline wash was mild effective on episiotomy wound healing. Conclusion: it is statistically interpretation Analysis revels that there is association of episiotomy wound healing with Age (in year), Occupation and Area of residence while none of the other demographic variables were associated with episiotomy healing score. And Betadine Wash versus Normal Saline Wash on episiotomy wound healing among postnatal mothers of selected hospitals was effective. Thus the H1 is accepted.

Brewery industries in India cover a range of production processes due to their wide variety of beverages, which leads to the generation of effluents with different physicochemical characteristics. Furthermore, these leftovers have a great deal of potential for the production of biogas and bioenergy, but it is often disposed of untreated. Anaerobic digestion can be implemented to treat brewing effluent, promote its energy recovery, reduce environmental pollution, and produce environmentally friendly biological products: biogas and biofertilizer. Thus, this review explored the potential of AD for brewery waste management. The aim of experiment was to find how well anaerobic digesters treated wastewater from the brewery industry and produced methane additionally removing total solids & BOD from the system. When organic material is biologically broken down by bacteria in an anaerobic environment, biogas is produced. Following feeding of effluent that had pH of 7 to 8, a digesting facility was set up in a lab and used until the twelfth week. The system included of 1 digester, 10 liters of cow manure slurry, and the addition and removal of 1000 mL of waste product from the beer industry. The T.S., V.S., F.S., B.O.D., C.O.D., SO4, NO3 removal efficiency results from this system are 62.50%, 51.34%, 53.00%, 59.85%, 56.1%, 50.45%, and 53.19%.21.56 milliliters of biogas is generated once all solids have been removed, and 69.25 milliliters are generated from the elimination of all B.O.D.
