 Abstract

Organizational critical data is essential for her core operations and stability of financial operations. Maintaining security of critical data in organizations has been scholarly and industrially emphasized in many cases. Nevertheless, studies focusing on highlighting university critical data and implementation of the key elements of the data security in institutions of higher learning is still inadequate. This study was conducted within computing context of universities in Kenya, where it aimed at investigating the critical data and the levels of implementation of key aspects of data security. Questionnaires were used for data collection from staff members who were mainly sectional heads of user departments and information systems administrators. The data analysis produced statistical values needed to address the study objectives. Results showed that academic and financal related data were considered as critical data in the university. Furthermore, it was found that many universities have fairly implemented vital aspects of data security. However, in some universities, data security practices were found to be inadequate. For example, use of portable external storage devices to tranfer files between computers and malware menace. Therefore, it is recommended that universities ought to ensure security practices for critical data for better information systems security management. The study also recommends that IT security policies should include critical data security for a given organization.

 Abstract

In many institutions, information system is essential for ensuring efficiency in operations and accountability in financial operations. Access limitations into information communication systems - ICT in organizations has been found in various studies to contribute immensely to management of information systems security. Nonetheless, studies focusing on prominence of access control components in university and their levels of implementation in universities are still insufficient. This study was conducted in universities in Kenya, with the main objective of investigating the levels of implementation of key aspects of access control. Smiths sampling formula was employed to get a sample of 91 respondents. Questionnaires were used for data collection from staff members who were mainly section heads of user departments and information systems administrators. The data analysis produced statistical values needed to address the main objective. Results showed that while some features of access control are fairly implemented within universities in Kenya, many features are inadequately adopted. Therefore, it is recommended that universities fully implement access control measures for better security of information systems in universities. The study also recommends that information systems security policies should include key features of access control.

 Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO) defines health as the state of perfect (complete) physical, mental and social well-being, and not just the absence of disease et al.,Gabriela Restrepo Rodas May 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic is a major health crisis affecting several nations, with over 45,000 cases and 13,699 confirmed deaths reported to date. In Rajasthan, 25,000 cases are reported. Such widespread outbreaks are associated with adverse mental health consequences. With strict preventive measures and restrictions by the Indian Government in the form of nationwide lockdown, the citizens are going through a range of psychological and emotional reactions, fear and uncertainty being one of them. This study was conducted with the aim of exploring the impact of COVID-19 and lockdown on the mental health of individuals. et al., Kashif Hasan Our study aimed to investigate the immediate impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health and quality of life among the local people of different ages. An online survey was distributed through a social media platform between May and June2020. Participants completed a modified validated questionnaire they were mainly asked upon did they go through stress, anxiety and depression.

 Abstract

Machine learning has a great potential in healthcare industry in various tasks ranging from diagnosis to decision making. There are several machine learning algorithms available which are suitable for various tasks but selecting the best one is a challenge. For selecting the best algorithm, we conducted a study on supervised machine learning algorithms for detecting liver disease in patients. In this paper, we have discussed various supervised machine learning algorithms and analyzed performance of those algorithms for liver disease detection for Indian liver patient records. To implement the algorithms, Indian liver patient records data set was used with 583 instances with 10 attributes as independent variables and one as dependent variable for the analysis. From this research study, the results show that SVM gives the best results in liver disease detection as compared to Logistic Regression, K-Nearest Neighbours, Naive Bayes (NB), Random Forest and Neural Network algorithm.

 Abstract

With the fast development of informal organizations and micro blogging sites, correspondence between individuals from various social and mental foundations turned out to be more straightforward, bringing about increasingly more "digital" clashes between these individuals. Thusly, loathe discourse is utilized to an ever increasing extent, to where it turned into a difficult issue attacking these open spaces. Loathe discourse alludes to the utilization of forceful, vicious or hostile language, It concentrates a specific gathering of individuals sharing a typical property, regardless of whether this property is their sex (i.e., sexism), their ethnic gathering or race (i.e., prejudice) or their accepts and religion, and so on. While the majority of the online interpersonal organizations and miniaturized scale blogging sites deny the utilization of loathe discourse, the size of these systems and sites makes it practically difficult to control the entirety of their substance. In this way, emerges the need to distinguish such discourse consequently and channel any substance that presents derisive language or language instigating to contempt. In this way to deal with distinguish despise articulations on Twitter. Our procedure relies upon unigrams and structures that are normally accumulated from the readiness set.

 Abstract

Brown seaweed Padina tetrastromatica is chief constituents of nutraceutical food and are regularly consumed by the Asian countries due to their large health benefits. Since earlier studies had been proved that P. tetrastromatica have pharmacological activities like antibacterial, antimicrobial, antifungal, antidiabetics, and cytotoxic activity. The present study was aimed to screen antioxidant activity of flavonoid rich fraction of P. tetrastromatica (FRPD). Extraction was done by maceration for 48 hours using methanol by modern sophisticated instruments. These extract was made into flavonoid rich fraction by partitioning with petroleum ether (60-800C) and n- hexane. The flavonoid rich extract was confirmed by phytochemical screening and the flavonoid contents are quantified by total phenolic and flavonoid content estimation. The total flavonoid and total phenolic content of the obtained fraction was found to be 174.71mg of quercetin equivalent, 246.28 mg GAE/g respectively. Antioxidant efficacies are also screened by DPPH and H2O2 radical scavenging assay and the total antioxidant capacity was also performed. The IC50 value of the antioxidant activity was found to be 121.92 ?g/ml, 254.73 ?g/ml, 190.99 ?g/ml respectively. This preliminary investigation might be useful to screen the plant in molecular levels.

 Abstract

Plastic/polyethylene are synthetic or human made polymers. Due to its hydrophobic backbone and complex structure it is non-biodegradable and inert in nature. The vital features of plastics that make them suitable for the production in wide range of products are lightweight, durability, strength. The ever-increasing demand has led to a large-scale production that resulted in accumulation of plastics in hazardous quantities at breakneck speed in waste disposal. Plastics being non-biodegradable accumulate on the surface and persist for centuries causing a disruption in the normal soil, marine ecology thus encouraging research in development of effective and eco-friendly biodegradation materials. In biological degradation, organic polymer substances like plastics are cracked down by living microorganism. In the recent years, certain strains of microorganisms have been isolated and studied by scientists all over the world to identify their plastic degrading capacity. Particular strains of bacteria and fungi have proved to have the most efficient degrading capacity among other microorganisms. Here in this study, we have analysed the studies conducted on various strains of bacteria like Brevibaccillus borstelensis, Genus pseudomonas, B.licheniformis and fungi strains like Aspergillus japonicus regarding their plastic degradation capacity. The studies were analyzed for their isolation processes, methodology/process of degradation and their proof of efficacy. Detailed summary of the most proficient microorganisms with their plastic degrading methods have been provided in this paper. The key benefits of using microorganisms for degrading plastics are it causes no harmful side effects as it is a completely natural process, can be carried out in situ, therefore no transportation and due to its organic process, therefore is well accepted by the public.

 Abstract

The process of improving the physical and engineering properties of soil such as shear strength and bearing capacity is known as Soil Stabilization. Indian terrain is mostly occupied by black cotton soil. It is highly expansive soil which shows more swelling, shrinkage and settlement problems. Thus, Construction of buildings and other Civil Engineering structures on this soil is risky. Use of compaction technique or suitable admixtures like cement, lime and waste material like fly ash, phosphagypsum etc can bring out the soil stabilization. But these are expensive additives. The research papers that we studied here suggest and proved that the use of plastic waste for stabilization of soils would reduce the problem of disposing plastic waste and also reduce environmental problems. It is seen that CBR test, Proctor test, Sieve analysis are performed to check the suitability of plastic waste as soil stabilizer.Sieve Analysis gives the physical properties of the soil sample. Modified Proctor Test gives the OMC and Dry Density of soil sample. CBR Test results the Optimum Plastic content. Optimum Plastic content is the percentage of plastic added in the soil sample above which the CBR value falls. Modified Proctor Test is recommended than Standard Proctor Test because the soil which is tested will be used for road construction which requires high compaction. This review paper concludes that soil stabilization is possible by plastic waste which is a cheap method of soil stabilization. This review paper motivates for the further studied with the change in dimensions of plastic strips and performing Plate load test may speak on the effect of plastic strips on bearing capacity of soil.

 Abstract

In this paper I have tried to focus on Political relations between Babur and the Rajputs with special reference to the Battle of Khanwa. I got the information which related to my topic are available in the primary sources as well as in the secondary sources. I consulted the primary sources such as Baburnama, Akbarnama, Mirat-i-Sikandari, Muntakhab-ut-Tawarikh and Waqiat-i-Mushtaqi. Babur is one of the most confining personalities in Oriental history, and the point that he is talented to divulge this attraction to his own memoirs is not the smallest of his names to celebrity. The blood of the two countless plagues of Asia, Mongol and Turk, Chingiz and Timur, intermingled in his veins.

 Abstract

Health today is one particular area, which has engaged the attention not of only medical professionals, which is but natural for them, but also of social scientists, including anthropologists, sociologists, policy makers and administrators, development specialist and human welfare activist(Das,2005).Man is both creature and moulder of his environment (RajGopal;1987). At present time air pollution is a major problem facing all nations of the world(Elsom,1992) but now the air pollution due to vehicular emissions in most metropolitan cities in India is taking serious dimensions and worsening the peoples quality of life and breathing in polluted air is general source of discomfort. The air quality of Lucknow city has been deteriorated due to increasing traffic ,motorization, construction enhanced domestic activities due to increased city population. Although the role of air pollution and in exacerbating existing illness has been well established, but today many researches have established to find out the relation between exposure to air pollution and likelihood of dying from COVID19.This paper will discuss the air quality of Lucknow City and its relation with COVID 19.

 Abstract

This paper undertakes a critical study of the Nobel laureate Orhan Pamuks Snow (2004) to picture Turkeys contemporary socio-political issues. I have endeavored to show the modes and methods by which Pamuk brings contentious issues of religion which has largely been about women wearing the headscarf and the works of secular state in mitigating all the problems affecting the image of Turkey in the western world. Snow is a political novel and it explores the politics that is played in the daylight. Orhan Pamuks writings take place where Islam and secularism confront each other in a dramatic way. He is a globally acknowledged writer and he writes for global audience. Snow is a novel in which Pamuk takes Islamic and secularist clash whose roots go before the secularizing project of Turkey. It records socio-political condition of Turkey in the early 1990s. The hijab or headscarf adopted by many Muslim women across the world in accordance with their local rules has been a fertile issue for discussion all over the world. It signifies womens subordinate status in Muslim societies in the vast body of literature on the topic. Turkey is the only country with a Muslim majority population that has been practicing a ban on hijab. This is the main point of contention between the secularists and the Islamists. In this novel, this issue is presented through many characters who bring out multiple responses to the question of headscarf. There are liberals who view the ban on the headscarf as a liberating one. On the other hand, followers of political Islam take it as an insult. They correlate it with religion and think that their religion is in danger. The main protagonist of the novel Ka finds himself in the middle of these things. He has come to Turkey after twelve years. The city of Kars unfolds a new world which he has never seen before. Thus, my paper will seek to explore Orhan Pamuks engagement with the contemporary Islam in Turkey.

 Abstract

U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC) of the Indian Space Research Organization develops satellites for variety of applications like remote sensing, interplanetary, communication, navigation and scientific applications. Now the prestigious mission Gaganyaan is planned. These missions consist of highly complex software which will carry out many tasks. Autonomy feature is also built in to handle failure modes also change over to redundant system if one system fails. From one spacecraft to another spacecraft the complexity and the functionality of software is increasing. Hence testing and delivering the robust bug free software is a major challenge within the project time period. Hence realizing this software plays a major role in the success of mission. The automation of testing saves lot of project time and cost. This paper discusses the methodologies and application of automated testing for mission software elements. It discusses the best practices for implementing automation testing. Safety and security play a critical role in every phase of software development life cycle.
