Thomas Hardy strikes as one of the most gifted and remarkable novelists of the Victorian period. Although there is a segment of critics who charges him with frivolous remarks that he was a novelist who was pessimistic to a great extent and did not any ray of hope for his central characters in most of his novels. However, the fact is he offered variety of contents for society to churn over. Hence this paper deals with his two epical novels The Mayor of Casterbridge and Tess of D'Urberville and his treatment of the concept of fate with respect to Henchard and Tess, the principal characters of these novels respectively. He takes into his stride all possible situations to prove his point that fate governs every action of human being.

: Feminism is a belief that women should be socially, politically and even economically equal to men in all most all spheres of life. This expression is not new. It is as old as English. Anita Nair is a successful Indian women writer who regards feminism. Her novel 'Mistress' deals with the Women's quest for freedom and their position in male dominated society. It is a question whether women should be restricted only to play the roles of wives and mother. In this regard, woman's life is limited only for reproduction regardless of her own desires and needs. Hence, I have made a sincere effort to preview Indian feminism and attitude through the novel, 'Mistress'. All her novels have a talent for probing the insular world Anita Nair's powers for the delineation of the deeper layers of the woman's relationship.

Abstract According to research, Construction of check dams is one of the programmes implemented by grama panchayaths under MGNREGA and Ministry of Rural Development. Ministry of Rural Development has implemented sixteen different programmes under MGNREGA. Most of these programmes have been implemented by grama panchayaths. One of the objectives of Ministry of Rural Development programme is to ensure the sustainability of rural development. In the present paper an attempt has been made to evaluate the green potential and effectiveness of check dams implemented bygrama panchayaths. It has found from the study that the greening of check dams not completely achieved in the study area as the green index value is less than one and there are significant differences in the green index values among the grama panchayaths. The major reason for not achieving complete greening check dams is due to lack of green potential and ineffective implementation of check dams. Accordingly, the objective of ministry of rural development has not realised. As the study is based on sample data and with tested proofs, the arguments of the study are applicable to the entire states and Nation. Therefore, the ministry of rural development has to lay down rules and regulations for implementation of programme and there is also need to take necessary disciplinary action against the implementing authorities for not ensuring greening of check dams. At the same time, it is also necessary to evaluate the programmes implemented by grama panchayaths. Accordingly, the present study has significantly contributed for evaluating rural development programmes for their sustainability.

The objective of this study was to assess the association between emotional intelligence and career maturity in students within the age range of 16-18 years. To conduct the study, 400 adolescent students between the age range of 16-18 years were selected from government and private schools operational in the Durg district of Chhattisgarh. Out of the total sample of 400, 200 were adolescent boys and 200 were adolescent girls. The average age of the sample was 17.02 years. Purposive sampling was used for data collection. The Indian adaptation of the career maturity inventory developed by Nirmala Gupta (1989) and Mangal's Emotional Intelligence Inventory was used to collect data. The result in the form of correlation coefficient (r) shows a significant and positive relationship between emotional intelligence and career maturity in students (r=0.429, p<.01). The correlation between career attitude and emotional intelligence as well as career competence and emotional intelligence was also found be significant. The association reveals that the higher the emotional intelligence, the higher will be the career maturity of students. It was concluded that stressors of career choices can be managed effectively through emotional intelligence. It may also be concluded that a higher level of career maturity requires good emotional intelligence in adolescent students in the age bracket of 16-18 years.

In this methodology detection of enervated signal zones is boiled out by using the Amalgamated clustering technique, which is carried out by cooking out a hard clustering technique followed by a soft one. Here a blend has been made extracting ideas from the working principles of Minimum Distance Segmented Method and fuzzy based Two-Phase Method. The intention behind making such a blend is to enhance the level of compactness. The area having the maximum distance, with respect to its near-by mobile tower will have the lesser signal strength compared to the one which is closer to it The proposed technique works in two subsequent steps. Firstly, Amalgamated clustering technique identifies the suspicious points which may suffer from low signaling problem and in the second step, among those suspicious points, which are really victim, are found and suitable location for setting up new tower is suggested to overcome the problem.

Public surveillance cameras are meant for human safety and to ensure law and order correctly. In fact, public surveillance videos are very useful to police and investigation agencies. In this paper, we proposed a deep learning architecture for automatic anomaly detection in human actions from public surveillance videos. The proposed methodology exploits a concept known as motion influence map that effectively reflects human actions. This map has information pertaining to subjects associated with different interactions, size of objects, speed, movement and direction of objects. These characteristics play crucial in learning based approaches. The proposed framework has provision to detect local and global abnormal activities from videos. Different public datasets are used in the empirical study. We proposed an algorithm known as Intelligent Detection of Human Anomalies (IDHA). This algorithm takes dataset (videos) as input and perform learning based detection of human anomalies. Our experimental results revealed the significance of the proposed methodology. The proposed algorithm outperforms existing models.

This report examines the topic of respiratory rate of players while swimming, It is not only about the importance of performance in the start, turn and swimming speed, but also about the design of a strength training program. Different approaches are discussed in the literature, of which two are at the forefront. On the one hand, the optimal intensity of strength training is discussed, and on the other, the question of how to plan a certain strength training. In addition to a running summary of the importance of strength training in swimming, the article shows what physiological adaptations must be achieved to improve performance in the long term. In addition, an attempt is made to explain why some training contents seem to be quite unsuitable from the point of view of increasing strength as a basis for better performance in start, turn and clean swimming. From the above paper, it concludes that

Background: It is estimated that at least one in four adults in India has hypertension 1, but, only about 12% of them have their blood pressure under control. In 2008, out of the 57 million global deaths, 36 million deaths, or 63%, were due to non communicable diseases, which principally involve hypertension, diabetes, cancers and chronic respiratory diseases. Nearly 80% of hypertension deaths occur in low-and middle-income countries. It is projected that globally hypertension and other non communicable diseases will account for nearly 44 million deaths in 2020. The leading causes of non communicable diseases death rate in 2008 was: 17 million deaths due to hypertensions i.e. 48% of total non communicable diseases deaths. Hypertension affects at a younger age in low and middle-income countries (WHO, 2010). In India, the estimated deaths due to NCDs in 2008 were 5.3 million. The overall prevalence of hypertension, Ischemic Heart Diseases (IHD) and stroke in India is around 1.54 per 1000 population (ICMR, 2006). Material &Methods: A survey was conducted at, Narayan Medical College and Hospital (NMCH). The researchers collected 106 responses from general population visiting OPD area of NMCH hospital of Sasaram, Bihar. The data was collected using designed and developed knowledge questionnaire, in both English and Hindi language; analysis was done using SPSS. Result: The results showed that knowledge questionnaire were completed; with 77.4% (n=82) responses were having good knowledge and 22.6% (n=24) had average knowledge related to hypertension. The researchers enlisted several factors like prolonged standing, long working hours, stressful interpersonal interaction, poor amenities and time constrained self care deficit. Conclusion: It was concluded that most of the general population were having good knowledge about hypertension. Hence, these findings shows even though good knowledge about hypertension is present among general population, the incidence rate keeps growing among them clearly indicating that there is lack of preventive practice's.

Carotenoids, a diverse group of over 700 fat-soluble compounds, are responsible for the vibrant yellow, red, and orange pigments observed in plants, fruits, vegetables, algae, and photosynthetic bacteria. With a staggering assortment of more than 600 types, among which the well-known members of this pigment family are alpha-carotene, beta-carotene, beta-cryptoxanthin, lutein, zeaxanthin, and lycopene. This study aimed to isolate carotenoid-rich microbes from various fruits and vegetables using shadow drying followed by powder formation. Different extraction methods, including the traditional approach, as well as innovative techniques like USAE and MWAE, were employed to extract carotenoids from the microbial samples. The confirmation of successful carotenoid extraction was achieved through the utilization of the sophisticated HPLC technique. The carotenoids were classified into two main groups: xanthophylls and carotenes. Both groups exhibited antioxidant properties, contributing to their potential health benefits. Additionally, certain carotenoids possess the remarkable ability to be converted into vitamin A, a vital nutrient crucial for human growth and overall well-being. These carotenoids, known as provitamin A compounds, namely alpha-carotene, beta-carotene, and beta-cryptoxanthin, fall under this category. Alongside these, non-provitamin carotenoids like lutein, zeaxanthin, and lycopene offer their own distinctive human health benefits. Various fruits and vegetables rich in carotenoids include yams, kale, spinach, watermelon, cantaloupe, bell peppers, tomatoes, carrots, mangoes, and oranges. Understanding the composition and concentration of carotenoids in fruits and vegetables can contribute to improved dietary recommendations

This paper aims to study the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar contribution towards women for their rights. According to Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, women were the victims of the rigid, caste-based, hierarchical social system. Women in today's society become caught in a cycle of indecision, masculine dominance, ignorance of their rights, and lack of decision-making authority. He contributed contributions to Hindu personal law and included multiple provisions for the welfare of women to the Indian Constitution. He made an effort to integrate women's rights into the Indian constitution as well as political discourse. He increased understanding among uneducated; underprivileged women while motivating them to resist injustice and discrimination. Through law, Dr. Ambedkar frees women from antiquated forms of servitude and grants them equal rights and freedom. This paper aims to highlight Dr. Ambedkar's perspective on women's issues in pre- and post-independent India. It also discusses his involvement to the empowerment and independence of Dalit women as well as other social groups through various constitutional protections. His motto "Educate, organise, and agitate" helped mobilise women in the freedom movement, and even after seventy years of independence, the society had not provided women the rights they were due.

The Validation are growing at a tremendous rate due to greater patient acceptability, multiple actions, increased potency, quicker relief and fewer side effects .The arena of pharmaceutical analysis calls for simple, rapid, accurate and specific methods of analysis which ensure the quality of the products. Form the analytical point of view, the drug present in a multi- component formulation suffer from severe spectral overlapping .The currently available methods for the analysis of multi-component formulations are different chromatographic techniques like HPLC. Although, these methods provide accurate and precise results, these suffer due to some drawbacks like time consuming nature, need expensive and solvents and the procedures are generally complex in nature. The aim of the present work is therefore to develop a simple, fast, convenient, economical, accurate and reliable method for the simultaneous determination of the formulations. Experimental designs, a fascinating area of chemo metrics are also applied in the chromatographic technique HPLC, proving the method is highly robust.

In India, people used to refer to their country as Bharat Mata, but they never understood what that actually meant. The term "Bharat Mata" refers to the mother of every Indian, whom we must revere and protect. 50% of all women live in the world. Women such as Mata Laxmi, Mata Saraswati, and Maa Durga are venerated for wealth, wisdom, and power, respectively, according to the Vedas and Puranas of Indian culture. Under the Indian Constitution's Preamble, Fundamental Rights, Fundamental Responsibilities, and Directive Principles, the principle of gender equality is spelt out. The Indian Constitution not only guarantees women's equality, but it also gives the government the authority to implement laws that positively discriminate against women. Our laws, development strategies, plans, and programmes have all been designed to advance women in various fields within the framework of a democratic democracy. The state has passed numerous legislative measures meant to guarantee equal rights and safeguard women in order to uphold the constitutional obligation. Also, with the aid of this article, the researcher hopes to discuss the legal standing of women, diagrams of instances in which their rights have been violated, and how constitutional rules ensure, among other things, that everyone is treated equally and with equal assurance under the law

All pharmaceutical products are formulated to specific dosage forms for drugs to be effectively delivered to patients. The major advantages of using design of experiments (DOE) are to develop and optimize manufacturing processes and control, increase the accuracy of performance and reduce the number of required tests. DOE takes into account all input variables simultaneously, systematically, and efficiently. Each single input variable and multi-variables interaction can be evaluated and their effect(s) on each response variables can be identified. The aim of this research is to design a quality product and its manufacturing process to consistently deliver the intended performance of the product. The scientific approach may be used with identification of the desired dosage form a performance attributes through the target product profile. From this target product profile, an initial list of critical quality attributes was developed. A risk assessment was undertaken to identify the variables and unit operations which are most likely to impact the critical quality attributes. Once the significant parameters identification, they can be further studied (using design of experiments model) to achieve a higher level of process understanding. This was then used to focus development activities on potential high risk areas.
