 Abstract

The traditional education system in India has primarily focused on textbook knowledge while less on developing vocational knowledge and practical skills. NEP (National Education Policy) 2020 seeks to change this scenario by shifting the paradigm from a rote based academic approach to a skill- based education system as it recognizes the importance of vocational education and equips the students with the necessary skills to thrive in a rapidly evolving job market. According to the policy, by 2025, at least 50% of learners in the school and higher education system shall have exposure to the vocational education for which a clear action plan with targets and timelines one has to develop. To achieve these objectives, secondary schools will have to collaborate with industrial training institutes (IITS), Poly techniques, Local Industry, etc. Skill labs are also necessary and needed to be setup in the schools like a hub and spoke model, which will allow other schools to use the facility. Main challenges in implementing these recommendations lies mainly in the budgetary allocation and capacity of vocational institutes and administrator. It is high time that the government starts mapping out the linkages between the demands of industry and supply of vocational courses so that skills can be align according to the jobs available. Alongside these challenges, there is also a need to consider the factor of digital literacy. In order to effective implement the recommendations in the NEP 2020; the government needs to learn from the existing inadequacies in its training programmes. The existence of skilled work force is beneficial to any of the society and it will lead India ahead in the economic development. A quality vocational education provided by skilled institutions/trainers will generate a young and efficient work force, which will contribute immensely to the progress of our nation.

 Abstract

Abstract: In this paper, Satellite (GOSAT, OCO-2) and in situ observation are used to estimate CO2 concentration over Indian region. The two different satellite are different temporal and spatial resolutions .The CO2 atmospheric with OCO-2 and GOSAT satellite observation over four different regions in the Indian land region. The analysis has good comparison and time series analysis shows us good coherent with atmospheric surface CO2 with satellite and in-situ observation .In the analysis observed seasonal and inter annual variation over four regions of box: North India(Box A) , South India(Box B) and North east India(Box C) and south west region(Box D). Over India region the CO2 maximum is in month of May and minimum in August/September .Both satellite observation shows seasonal and annual variation .The mainly effect of seasonal and inter-annual increase depends on terrestrial biosphere.

 Abstract

We know that Ilangovadikal had infused Kannagi, who is an ethno- mythological figure in the Tamil Thinai-kudi tradition, as a character who emphasizes Karpu (urging towards family system) in his work. But what exactly was the doctrine of fivefold Thinai karpu that he emphasized in the Tamil tradition? How did its material change settle in the society during the Colossian Middle Ages? What is its relevance in current use? This article presents and explains how the social acceptance of these was then and is now with reference to Silappadikaram.

 Abstract

The Indian constitution was adopted on January 26, 1950. Today, it is known to be one of the most detailed and noteworthy documents in the history of India. It lays down several rights, duties, and framework for good governance of people and for promotion of Social justice. It uses a progressive approach, which ensures a system free from excessive influence of people at certain positions by imposing proper checks and balance. One such way of ensuring this was "the Golden Triangle of Indian Constitution" which refers to the three pillars namely Article 14, 19 and 21 of the Indian Constitution. These are basically the roots of democracy made to protect the rights of the citizen, but this concept has been in debate for a long time now, subjected to various criticisms. Federalism, in its basic sense means division of legislative and executive power between central government and regional governments so that each government can work independently in its own sphere. In a country like India the importance of federalism is vital because different people from different background and culture live together. Neither it would be possible for a single government to make laws for the whole country nor is it desirable in the interest of the people with diversified cultures, language and backgrounds. So, the Central government may make laws for the whole and any part of territory of India and the respective State governments may make and implement the laws according to social, economic and political conditions of the people living in different areas. Federalism in the modern age is a principle of reconciliation between two divergent tendencies, the widening range of common interests and the need for local autonomy. The paper will examine the democratic mechanism of government and concept of federalism as well as the changing dimensions of federalism in India.

 Abstract

One of the most important factors influencing the world in which we have lived is colonialism. It was a supremacy policy that entails subjugating one superior nation to another inferior nation. Typically, colonisers are interested both in appropriating the markets, labor, and resources of the colonised region and in imposing socio-cultural, religious, and linguistic frameworks on the native people. One of Shakespeare's most well-known dramas, The Tempest, explores aspects of colonial life, particularly via the interaction between the colonist Prospero and the native Caliban. The purpose of this paper is to examine the colonist's attitude toward the native and how he mocks them, as well as the native's rebellion and revolution against such mistreatment, which led to hatred, scorn, loathing, cunning, and enmity because of the settler's perception of their superiority over the natives' inferiority.

 Abstract

Any growing city has a continuously increasing population, which puts significant pressure on the limited natural resources that it depends upon. Urban areas across the world are facing similar issues. Pune is one such city, with an ever-growing population resulting in significant changes in land use and land cover patterns, erratic rainfall patterns, causing frequent flood hazards. Although Pune has a history of flooding due to dam failures, recent conditions have made living in the city during the rainy season more perilous. Various scientific and administrative methods have been implemented, including building flood-resistant infrastructure, to mitigate the impact of floods. This paper evaluates the community-based flood hazard management strategies adopted by the municipal corporation of Pune and other cities across the globe. The study is quantitative and aims to understand what measures are taken to reduce the impact of flooding in Pune. The study indicates that despite using multi-pronged approaches, there is still significant room for improvement.
