 Abstract

Frozen shoulder, also called adhesive capsulitis, is a condition characterized by stiffness and pain in shoulder joint. Signs and symptoms typically begin gradually, worsen over time and then resolve, usually within one to three years.According to Ayurveda Frozen Shoulder is usually compared to Avabahuka. Avabahuka mainly affects Amsa sandhi (shoulder joint).Even though the term Avabahuka is not mentioned in the Nanatamaja vata vyadhi. As per Acharya Sushrutha and others have considered Avabahuka as Vataja Vikara.Amsa Shosha is considered as Preliminary Stage of Avabahuka. The Stiffness of the joint is contributed by Kapha Dosha. In many pts stiffness worsens at night due to involvement of Kapha Dosha. Marma Chikitsa is the procedure employed in the study. this is case presentation of a 28 years female patient with history of Avabahuka, having complaints of pain in shoulder joint since past 6 months, stiffness in neck and shoulder region since 6 months, restricted movement of shoulder joint since past 3 months, pt is unable to do day today work because of this condition since past 3 months.Treatment of Frozen shoulder with medications and surgery is a very tedious job for the physician/surgeons.The patient was given Marma Chikitsa for seven days. The patient got relief in all symptoms with appreciable recovery in range of motion.

 Abstract

Introduction: Self-medication refers to the use of medications or herbal remedies to treat medical disorders without a doctor's advice regarding dosage, indication, method, and frequency. It also involves taking a previously prescribed drug consistently to treat a recurring sickness such as a headache, fever, cough, or stomachache .Aim: To assess the level self medication among undergraduate and postgraduate students of CSMSS dental college and hospital.Objective:1 assessing the extent of self-medication practices 2. Assessing the level of knowledge among dental students regarding appropriate medication use, indications for seeking professional healthcare Material and method: A cross-sectional questionnaire was administered to dental undergraduate and postgraduate students at Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Sanstha (C.S.M.S.S) Dental College and Hospital, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. The data was gathered on assessment of self medication practice. The sample size of the study was 263 participants, each 100 from final year, interns and 63 from postgraduates. A validated questionnaire with 16 multiple choice questions about self medication practice was used for the study. Descriptive statistics were calculated. Result: This study of 203 dental students found higher self-medication prevalence among females (149) than males (54) (p = 0.026). Key reasons included lack of doctor access (36.5%) and transportation issues (24.19%). Commonly treated conditions were coughs (37.64%) and fever (33.07%). Most students preferred branded medications (85.17%) and felt confident in managing their health, although non-compliance with dosage guidelines was more prevalent among males (p = 0.0105) Conclusion: This survey highlights significant gender differences in self-medication practices among students, with females more likely to self-medicate and use family prescriptions due to barriers like access and transportation. While many students are confident in managing their health, reliance on self-medication--particularly with antibiotics and analgesics--raises concerns. High awareness of expiration checks and reading instructions contrasts with notable non-compliance in dosage, especially among males. These findings emphasize the need for targeted education on safe medication practices and the importance of consulting healthcare professionals to reduce health risks associated with self-medication.

 Abstract

Every child is born with some natural and inherited traits and dispositions. These endowments are modified and conditioned by the environment in which he or she is raised and work towards making the individual child a useful member of society. Adolescence is the most important phase of human development. It is a period of disorientation and discovery, where an individual develops his sense of self, independence and identity. A country's development in all the spheres it can be argued, necessarily depends upon the proper guidance and nurturing of adolescents. It is imperative that all caregivers, teachers and parents become aware of the nature of changes and the challenges that the transition period from childhood to adulthood brings in. They must also know the various issues that crop up with developmental characteristics to deal effectively with problems of adolescents. The knowledge of the causal factor of the problems of adolescents ensures that proper individual, educational and vocational guidance may be provided for the individuals to ensure their adequate adjustment in the society. Modern age is particularly complex .The growth and development of present day children, most people would argue that being an adolescent today is a vastly different experience from what it was even a few decades ago. The perception of this change as well as actual change is a testimony to the powerful influence of social contexts on Adolescent development. The teens face a real predicament today. If these external forces are in tune with their in-built skills and aspirations their growth becomes natural and exciting otherwise it can wreak havoc to their already precarious self efficacy. A developing country like India, in particular can ill-afford wasting precious resources to a pandemic of academic stress. There is an urgent need to unshackle these hapless teens from the vicious grip of academic stress and provide them a congenial environment and give them an opportunity to achieve their true and maximum potential. The onset of puberty is the highlight of the students in Secondary school, from a developmental perspective. . According to Stanley Hall, it is a period that is characterized by "storm and stress". In this age of fierce, cut-throat competition the overall wellbeing of adolescents is increasingly overlooked.. Educators often underestimate the importance of developing student's abilities to adapt and get along with people; however, students learning abilities depend on their experience of their ability to adapt and cope with people (Elias, 2001). It is interesting to note that there are cases where capable learners do not perform up to their potential, despite positive environmental conditions whereas students, who do not compare that favorably on ability with the more talented ones , do end up performing above average on grade expectations. It is an empirical truth that a student with great intellectual and cognitive potential does not always attain success and, Conversely, a student who is not rated that highly on his intellectual abilities manages to do better in life. Many variables interact to produce this phenomenon; self-efficacy is probably the most significant one. Merely, possessing knowledge and skills does not mean that one will use them effectively under difficult conditions (Bandura, 1986). Only those who are more self efficacious about being able to effectively manage and cope with these circumstances are expected to have probability of succeeding even if others have the same inherent ability or skill level. The concept of self-efficacy is the focal point of Bandura's social cognitive theory. According to this theory, individuals can have control over their thoughts, feelings and actions and behave accordingly. Bandura (1986) states that- "people will be more inclined to take on a task they believe they can succeed in. People generally avoid tasks where their self-efficacy is low but will engage in task where their self-efficacy is high". A strong sense of academic self-efficacy enhances students' academic accomplishment, quality of functioning and personal well-being (Adeyemo, 2001; Pajares, 1996). Educator Kathy Kolbe observes that "Belief in innate abilities means valuing one's particular set of cognitive strengths. It also involves determination and perseverance to overcome obstacles that would interfere with utilizing those innate abilities to achieve goals". Bandura (1997) stated that a sense of self-efficacy is an important predictor of the accomplishment of further competences and successes . The above discussion seems to suggest that mere possession of abilities and skills does not guarantee success. Belief in those abilities and the resilience and persistence are a more important factor for success.

 Abstract

To perceive the relationship between monetary incentive and employee performance. It is observed that in the private companies, bonuses are fixed according to the employee's performance, however, hard work being intangible is not considered. Therefore, it can be deduced that monetary incentives are independent of the performance, since the bonus and allowances are fixed according to a specific performance parameter. Moreover, the failure of a company's promise to release the bonus on time also leads to dissatisfaction and demotivation among its employees. On the other hand, collective performance of the companies may be made a parameter to offer such performance bonus to all level of employees, thereby, stimulating employees to perform more efficiently and proactively. This study will help comprehend how effective monetary incentives are imperative to employee satisfaction and alleviating the attrition rate in the company.

 Abstract

The properties of biochar and its impact on soil health and natural ecosystems are mainly influenced by the origin of the feedstock, the time it remains in the soil, and the conditions during pyrolysis. Using biochar as an adsorbent can help eliminate both organic and inorganic soil pollutants. A nutrient-rich increase created from biomass, biochar is growing increasingly popular as a soil add to to increase crop yields and store carbon. The possibilities to generate biochar and its potential benefits have been determined for this Portuguese region, showing how agricultural application may effectively result in several environmental, economic, and social advantages. Additionally, biochar could improve sure biological, chemical, and physical properties of soil and substrate. But there are disadvantages to applying biochar in addition. As an example, applying biochar increased the pH to a level that plant growth was greatly impeded which may have concealed potential advantages. The most recent study on bio char's use for sustainable horticulture has been collected in this review. Increasing horticultural productivity of crops and promoting durability to major abiotic and biotic obstacles are two examples of how biochar works in this regard. Significant holes and possible routes for utilising biochar technology are also discussed.

 Abstract

Introduction: Air is the most important factor for all living being for their existence. It is the same air which is responsible for the spread of various infectious diseases. So purification of air and maintenance of air hygiene is very important to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Fumigation is the first and foremost procedure which is followed for the disinfection of air as well as the maintenance of the air hygiene.Formaldehyde fumigation is the standard procedure which is followed for the disinfection of air. But Formaldehyde is the known carcinogen and had various health effects. Hence a better option is essential for the disinfective purpose. Dhoopana (fumigation) is the classical approach of fumigation, which is used to disinfect Vranitagara (post-operative care unit), Sutikagara (post-natal care unit), Kumaragara (paediatric care unit), Bheshajagara (drug preparation unit) etc. as well as for diseases like Jwara (Fever), Vrana (Wound/Ulcer), Visha (Toxin), Graha (Possession/ psychiatry) etc. Nagakesaradi Dhoopana Yoga which is explained in Kriyakaumudi in the context of Jaladhi shudhikarana indicated for Vishavayu (Polluted air) and against microorganisms. Majority of the drugs of the Yoga (Formulation) is Vishaghna (Anti-toxic) and Krimighna (Anti-helminthic) by Karma (Action). Materials and methods: This study was taken up to confirm the anti- microbial effect of Nagakesaradi Dhoopana Yoga against Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Aspergillus niger. All the drugs were collected, Nagakesaradi Dhoopana Yoga was prepared out and Experimental study was conducted. Observations and Results: The study proves that Nagakesaradi Dhoopana Yoga is having better anti-microbial activity than formaldehyde fumigation. It shows better activity towards Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Aspergillus niger. Conclusion: Nagakesaradi Dhoopana Yoga can be used an effective disinfectant.

 Abstract

Korean Wave has become popular in most of the countries of world including West Asia and North Africa (WANA). Its popularity is now universal in nature but still scholars try to find out specific factors for its fast acceptance in different geographical regions and culture. In the case of WANA countries, finding specific reasons like similar cultural factors or geographical proximity has not given proper answers. Reason for it is WANA countries are neither near to Korean Peninsula or neither have historical cultural relation and cultural exchanges. A traditional and conservative Arab society with some medieval social and cultural practices and strong influence of Islamic values and principles is in contrast to modern and progressive culture being practiced by South Korean society. Korean society is versatile, dynamic and progressive in nature which happily adopts new changes. On the other side, societies of West Asia and North African countries are willingly or by enforcement are following strict social orders and practices even today. Despite these differences in attitude towards daily life, Korean cultural products like K-Drama, K-Music, K-Pop, K-Cinema is very popular and even influencing he sell of K-Products including cosmetic products. The presence of large follower's base of K-Idols in these countries is another proof of this popularity. Therefore, this paper tried to find out reasons for such high level of acceptability of Korean cultural products in these countries and their possible effect on local culture and society.

 Abstract

This study presents the application of Quality by Design (QbD) principles in the development of a HighPerformance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) method for the simultaneous estimation of Lansoprazole and Chlorthalidone in a solid dosage form. The co-administration of these drugs in certain therapeutic regimens necessitates accurate and reliable analytical methods. By systematically optimizing critical method parameters, including mobile phase composition, column chemistry, and detection wavelength, a robust and efficient HPLC method was established. The methodology employed a Design of Experiments (DOE) approach along with risk assessment and multivariate analysis tools to ensure method robustness, accuracy, and reproducibility. This research contributes to advancing analytical method development practices, ensuring the quality and safety of pharmaceutical products.

 Abstract

Corporate accountability is the mechanism through which corporations are held responsible for their actions and impacts on stakeholders, including employees, customers, communities, and the environment. This paper explores the concept of corporate accountability, emphasizing the need for legal and regulatory reforms that enforce accountability across environmental, economic, and social dimensions. It analyzes the mechanisms that promote accountability, such as independent monitoring, mandatory reporting, and compliance with national and international laws, and highlights the challenges in implementing these measures effectively. The study argues that stricter enforcement of accountability is essential to ensure corporations contribute positively to society and minimize harmful practices. The paper concludes by proposing ways to strengthen corporate accountability through enhanced legal frameworks and a shift in corporate culture.

 Abstract

Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) is a very common disorder among individual but very few know that OCD can also cause sexual dysfunction among individuals. OCD is a disorder where individual is trapped under repetitions and compulsions surrounding around a particular thought or superstitions or belief which causes major distress among individual. Due to which preoccupation with their thoughts reduces their sexual performance and increased distress is seen. This paper focuses on different review of literature on relation between sexual dysfunction and OCD among different individuals. A conventional review regarding the topic was done, that focuses on clinical aspects with people diagnosed with OCD. The paper searches regarding review of literature were done from Medline, PsycINFO, Google Scholar and Shodhganga in last 15 years using different keywords like: clinical features, clinical characteristics, obsessive compulsive disorder, sexual dysfunction and sexual satisfaction. Most studies results indicated that sexual dysfunction within OCD patients' is present and in more prevalent in men than women. But with female patients with contamination and cleaning type of OCD have increased sexual dysfunction as loss of desire and arousal sexual performances. Therefore, sexual dysfunction is a relevant variable to be diagnosed when evaluating patients with obsessive compulsive disorder. More studies and researches are required to analyze the effect of sexual dysfunction within OCD patients.

 Abstract

This study explores anticipated difficulties in EDU-SAT (Educational Satellite) lesson plans by examining teacher perceptions and student performance. The research aims to identify common challenges faced in EDU-SAT teaching and how these impact learning outcomes. Data were collected from 80 teachers and 120 students across 10 rural schools engaged in EDU-SAT programs. A mixed-methods approach, including surveys, interviews, and performance assessments, was used to gather insights into the anticipated difficulties in lesson delivery and student comprehension. Results indicate that teachers frequently anticipate difficulties related to technology integration, content pacing, and student engagement. These anticipated challenges correlate with observed student performance issues, such as low retention rates and disengagement during lessons. Statistical analysis revealed significant relationships between the identified challenges and student performance metrics, underscoring the need for targeted interventions in lesson planning and delivery. The study highlights the importance of proactive identification and mitigation of anticipated difficulties in EDU-SAT lesson planning. By addressing these challenges, educators can enhance lesson effectiveness, thereby improving overall student learning outcomes. The findings provide actionable recommendations for educators, curriculum developers, and policymakers to refine EDU-SAT lesson plans, making them more adaptive to the needs of both teachers and students.

 Abstract

We discuss subalgebras and BP-ideal properties in BP-algebras whose topology is generated by a fuzzy set family. We present and explore some of the features of fuzzy topological subalgebras and ideals in BP-algebras in this work. The characteristics of the inverse and homomorphic images of the fuzzy topological ideals of BP-algebras are also covered. Additionally, we study some of the results of intuitionistic fuzzy topological structures in BP-algebras and present the idea of such structures in this paper.
