 Abstract

Abstract In the late 20th century, postcolonial theory and literature rose to prominence as a way of analysing the shared struggles and experiences of people from former colonies as they navigate the post-independence world. The experience of diaspora, a recurring theme in English literature, is a crucial component of postcolonial studies. Diaspora is a type of psychological dislocation in which immigrants experience a sense of displacement, marginalisation, and loss of identity in addition to their physical movement from their country of origin to the foreign country. Some immigrants struggle with a fractured and split sense of identity because they feel ambivalently "in-betweened" and torn between the two cultures. Other immigrants, on the other hand, make an effort to fully integrate into the new culture and live as expatriates. The Tiger's Daughter, written by Bharati Mukherjee and included in the category of immigration literature, is the subject of this study. The experiences of diasporic Indian immigrants in the United States are recaptured in this book, but from different angles. It is impossible to generalise about the Indian Diaspora as a single shared experience due to the cultural diversity within and among the concerned nations as well as the variety of individual voices within the postcolonial novel.

 Abstract

Entrepreneurship among women is an emerging reality and is a recent phenomenon. There is a need to develop the latent skill of entrepreneurship among women to provide justice. Though entrepreneurial talent exists among all human beings but the degree of entrepreneurial ability differs from person to person depending upon the society in which he or she has been brought up and subsequent exposure to the entrepreneurial environment one gets in different phases of life. The aim of this study is to discuss the issues regarding women entrepreneurship in rural Jharkhand. This paper is mostly based on secondary data and some observations; for the identification of these issues the author has reviewed different research articles and reports. Findings of this study reveal that absence of definite agenda of life, absence of balance between family and career obligations of women, poor degree of financial freedom for women, absence of direct ownership of the property, the paradox of entrepreneurial skill & finance in economically rich and poor women, no awareness about capacities, low ability to bear risk, problems of work with male workers, negligence by financial institutions, lack of self-confidence, lack of professional education, mobility constraints and lack of interaction with successful entrepreneurs are major problems of women entrepreneurship development in Jharkhand.

 Abstract

Objective: to check the safety the protection efficacy one hundred fifty mg single dose and intra-vaginal clotrimazole two hundred mg per day for 6 days and treatment of the acute episode of vulvovaginal moniliasis (VVC). Methods: during a prospective study, fifty patients with acute clinical and mycological con?rmed VVC were registered and divided every which way in 2 teams. Twenty-five patients received intra-vaginal pill (200 mg) daily for seven days, whereas twenty five patients received single dose oral ?uconazole (150 mg). Second and third visits were in all of the patients seven days and one month after treatment and therefore the clinical and mycological outcomes evaluated. The analysis was performed with help of SPSS software. Results: At the second visit, twenty one patients (84.00%) were cured clinically (in?ammation and discharge) and twenty patients (80.00%) mycologically in ?uconazole cluster and twenty patients (80.00%) were cured clinically and eighteen patients (72.00%) mycologically in clotrimazole cluster (P = ?o.o5). At the third visit, only 1 patient in ?uconazole cluster and 4 patients in clotrimazole cluster had clinical sign of VVC (P = zero.001). Conclusion: Oral ?uconazole single dose appears to be a sound and promising medical aid to cure acute signs and symptoms of VVC.

 Abstract

Recently AC-DC power electronics are becoming high efficient and cost effective, but there is always a room left for amendment. This research paper deals with design and analysis of an integrated self bias power supply in APFC constant current buck-type switch mode power supply. It proposes an integrated self bias VCC supply in an active power factor correction (APFC) low side constant current buck type SMPS IC with no external magnetic core and winding of copper wire. The designed circuit is evaluated and validated using 7W LED driver of low side constant current buck converter. The experimental results suggest that the IC based on proposed scheme has an excellent efficiency, EMI performance and consumes less power. The application of proposed supply circuit can be extended to other converters as well, like Buck, Buck-boost, Flyback and Zeta.

 Abstract

The studies conducted revealed that successful entrepreneurs have some inner qualities such as technical competence, initiative, good judgment, intelligence, leadership qualities, self-confidence, energy, attitude, creativeness, fairness, honesty, tactfulness, emotional ability, vision and foresight, ability to marshal resources, imitating character, mobility nature etc. To look in to these, an attempt is made to focus on the quality or strength possessed by the entrepreneurs and the relationship between quality and parental occupation. The paper is based on the primary data collected from 50 entrepreneurs functioning in industrial estates of Shivamogga district. The study set two null and alternate hypotheses which are tested by using chi-square test for each of the background. The calculations to see the degree of relationship at 5% significance level for each of the background revealed that the calculated value for agriculture background and entrepreneurial quality is 4.14, for business background it is 3.98 and for service background it is 4.56 as against the table value of 36.4. Thus, it is revealed that the calculated value at 5 % significance level for each background is less than the table value hence the calculations support the null hypothesis that there is no significant relationship between parental occupation and personality trait or quality of entrepreneurs.

 Abstract

Objective: Aim of the study was to compare pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) symptoms in Dilataion and Curettage procedure with three antibiotic prophylaxis strategies. Methods: The patients were all allocated to three Groups (i.e.A, B, and C). Group A comprised of patients receiving prophylactic antibiotics and then post-Dilatation and Curettage antibiotics, Group B were the ones who received prophylactic antibiotics without any post-Dilatation and Curettage antibiotics, and Group C did not receive any prophylactic antibiotics but they received post-Dilatation and Curettage antibiotics. The outcomes were measured to identify the occurrence of PID symptoms included erythrocyte sedimentation rate, leukocytes, temperature, vaginal discharge, pain, and bleeding. Results: This study shows that there were no significant differences in any of the PID symptoms between all three antibiotic strategies except for pain scale (p=0.03). Conclusion: The PID symptoms between all the three strategies of antibiotic prophylaxis were found to be similar.

 Abstract

This Finite Element Model of MERO Joint and Modified MERO Joint, are presented in this paper for a double layer grid structure. In double layer grid structure, the main internal forces are axial forces. The deflection pattern of the connector are studied under different loading conditions using ANSYS software. The applied forces were determined by displacement control. The result presented force displacement relationship by the simulation modelling of MERO joint connector and Modified MERO Joint using Finite Element Method of ANSYS software were found out that in both tensile and compressive loading.
