 Abstract

The research area is located on Sumedang Regency, West Java Province. This research aims to determine the landforms in the Sumedang Regency based on drainage pattern analysis. This research was carried out through studio analysis and field observation. Stream network and topography data were obtained from Indonesia Topographic Maps and Digital Elevation Model (DEM). Compilation of data from these media becomes the basis for determining the landforms. Based on the results, the research area has varied slopes and different landform. The very steep to steep slopes can be identified in the central, west, and south of the research area whereas the gentle slope to flat area can be identified in the north, east, and some parts of the research area. The research area consists of various types of landform, namely volcanic, fluvial, and tectonic landform. Volcanic cones and hills are part of volcanic landform that can be identified by very steep to steep slope area which has some elongate topographic features and relatively hard-resistant rocks in the west, central, and south of the research area. It can be proven from radial, subradial, parallel, and subparallel drainage patterns. Fluvial landform can be identified by gentle slope to flat area which has erosion and sedimentation process in central, north, east, and northeast of the research area. It can be proven from dendritic and anastomotic drainage patterns. Tectonic landform can be identified by steep to gentle slope area which has tectonic process in the north, central, east and southeast of the research area. It can be proven from subdendritic, recurved trellis, and rectangular drainage patterns. The results of field observation also show that the geological structures developed in the north, east, and southeast of the research area. It can be concluded that the drainage pattern analysis is able to show the general geological characteristic, especially landforms of the research area. However, field observation is also necessary to find out the actual condition in the field.

 Abstract

The enhancement of electrode efficiency for glucose biosensor have been playing a vital role in the medical field, particularly in monitoring the blood glucose level of a person for control and treatment of diabetes. Hence, Titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticles possess larger surface area, greater stability, greater sensing ability, uniformity and good biocompatibility, it could enhance the electrode efficiency in the application of glucose bio sensor. Furthermore, the modification of TiO2 together with graphene on electrode shows effective sensing of glucose compared to normal bio-sensing of glucose. In this article, we discuss about how the electrode efficiency of glucose biosensor can be improved by the diffusion of TiO2/ graphene on its electrodes surface, with the analysis from electrochemical technique in the form of CV characteristics.

 Abstract

Charlotte Perkins Gilman (1860-1936) well known for her contribution for future feminists, wrote the feminine utopic novel- Herland (1915) which presents an isolated society composed entirely of women who reproduces via parthenogenesis (asexual reproduction). When reading the novel we find the novel describes or defines the appropriate femininity of the gender-woman. The novel tends to adhere to the stereotypical socially described features of the strategically binarized gender- men and women and then makes an inversion if these stereotypically categorized features in a matriarchal society, it presents. The novel is regarded as a feminist utopia. Somewhere yet in many ways the novel fumbles at the threshold of embodied patriarchy. In the novels effort to define a category of construction with all utopic supremacy, it fixes the position of that constructed category with stereotypical and patriarchal natural roles of motherhood and creation of a perfect society. Feminism is antidote to patriarchy. Patriarchy may be regarded as constantly mutating drug resisting virus that binaries, limits gender within binaries, constructs categories, working to establish supreme authority of the one. Therefore in this paper I will study how a feminist utopia also has its limitations.

 Abstract

- The robotic arm because of its several degrees of freedom and single velocity unit which, under the control of Programmable Logic Controller is connected to one of the axis position control units and one of the motors in accordance. Motor codes can be used to generate an online function to control the robotic arm in real time and with considerable accuracy. The mechanism allows us to locate the motor at the base, so that the weight of the motor is not a major concern. Thus, the production rate can be increased up to 5 times. Hence, our aim was to increase the production by reducing manpower with maximum efficiency. The proposed design is to provide industrial automation, which is useful for monitoring the devices from any distance. A micro controller is used which monitors are the components according to the given message, with the sensed information sent from the sensors. As the automation is microcontroller based it automatically regulates the temperature changes. The main focus of this project was to design and develop the mechanism for robotic arm for lifting and placing. The robotic arm was designed with six degrees of freedom and programmed to accomplish accurately simple light material lifting task to assist in the production line in any industry. The device should be able to consistently pick up and place objects in a smooth manner. i.e., the motion of the device should be smooth enough to not drop the objects that are being lifted. Therefore, any device that can lift and move an object from one place to another without losing any grip would meet the criteria.

 Abstract

Sustainable building materials lie into two categories. First, there are renewable materials, which are made from resources that can be replaced by nature or recycle. Then, there are green materials, which are generally more efficient than traditional products because they require fewer resources to produce. Due to growing interest in sustainable construction, engineers and architects are motivated to choose the materials which are more sustainable. Green concrete capable for sustainable construction is characterized by application of industrial wastes to reduce consumption of natural resources and energy and pollution of the environment. Replacement of materials over nominal concrete is what makes green concrete more environmental friendly concrete. Marble sludge powder, quarry rocks, crushed concrete and fly ashes are some of the materials used for making green concrete, a sustainable construction. The demand for sustainable materials is strong, as property owners, developers and regulators put a greater emphasis on cost savings, environmental protection, and energy conservation.

 Abstract

Let A be any prime ring of Ch 6= 2 and f : A ? A be the generalized Jordan Derivation, then we have (1) f(a + b) = f(a) + f(b) (2) f(ab) = f(b)a + bd(a) ? a,b ? A where d is de?ned as reverse derivation of A. In this paper, it is shown that (i) f(aba) = f(a)ba + ad(b)a + abd(a) ? a,b ? A (ii) aa+c = ab + ac & ab = ?ba where av = f(ab)?f(a)b?ad(b). We proved Herstein [3] Lemma 3.1 P.1106, Havala [2] Def. P.1147 as Corollaries along with other results.

 Abstract

Diaspora is one of the significant disciplines in post colonial studies. The study aims to understand the feeling of displacement and its aftermath. Here in this article, I am discussing about the movie Mississippi Masala, which is by Mira Nair. In which how an involuntary (force) displacement affects on a family and the father most. Displacement effects on a persons life as well as effect of positive and negative influence. A diasporic person can understand the feeling of displacement, that live far from home land is, how much difficult. If a person migrates once from our land, this person will always feel apart from all the things. Displacement affects our culture, style, religion, belongingness, inner conflict and so on. In a voluntary displacement, a person goes to other country, for living a high standard life, for social accommodation, for earning money but an involuntary (force) displacement is just opposite, where a person feels exile, if a person leave our home land. Mississippi Masala is the example of Involuntary or forced displacement from Uganda due to the political turbulence. The study uses the theories like identity, home, culture conflict and alienation to describe the aftermath of displacement in diaspora.

 Abstract

Spinel ferrites of copper ferrite with samples of Cu doped ferrite with Cd, general formula Cu1-x CdxFe2O4 (x = 0.0 to 0.2) were prepared by using double sintering ceramic technique. The physical and magnetic properties of Cu1-x CdxFe2O4 samples were studied by X-ray diffraction, high field hysteresis loop technique. Lattice constant a is found to increase with increase in Cd content. X-ray density dx increases as increase in Cd content. The particle size of the samples is found to vary in the range of 177 to 280. Magnetic moment nB is found to increase as increase in Cd concentration.

 Abstract

The United Nations (UN) General Assembly adopted the new development agenda on 25 September 2015 with the motto "Transforming our world: the 2030 agenda for sustainable development" by adopting 17 Sustainable Development goals and 169 targets, including one specific goal for health with 13 targets going well beyond Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The health goal is "Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages". Universal Health Coverage (UHC) is already the crucial benchmark for countries to assess and monitor progress against the SDGs. In 2017 the Government of India (GOI) unveiled the new National Health Policy (NHP 2017) intending to fortify the role of the Government in reshaping Health-care systems in all dimensions. With India's NHP 2017 in effect, the policy framework for changing the country's health paradigm correlates with the worldwide approach to health systems reinforcing UHC accomplishment. Concerted steps must be taken to realize the required results embarked on within the SDGs and NHP?2017, including government intervention to render health as a person's right; successful stewardship by the National Ministry of Health and Family Welfare; reorganization of health care service provision by enforcing a ''program approach" ensuring adequate security from health-care costs, and enhancing civic engagement and transparency. Though this new health policy will help in improving maternal and child health, however, it remains unspecific about 'Health as a fundamental right' and plenty of burning issues, including the nascent problems with non-communicable diseases (NCDs), violence against women, sanitation and, most significantly, ignoring the urgent need for a long- financial vision of primary health care furthermore as public health within the country. The present article discusses if the goals and targets proposed in NHP?2017 are aligned to achieve SDGs goals 3 and 6 through the existing health-care system in India.
