Artificial intelligence is rapidly entering the systems through which disability is identified, accommodated, treated and governed. It powers screen readers, speech recognition, alternative communication, navigation, rehabilitation and personalised learning. At the same time, it is increasingly used to screen job applicants, monitor workers, assess students, prioritise patients and determine access to public benefits. So necessarily the legal question is not whether AI is beneficial or harmful, but whether AI helps in addressing the issues of disabled community and convert disability into a condition that has to be managed by institutions. Using India as the principal jurisdiction, the article examines the Constitution, the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 and leading disability-rights judgments. It draws comparative lessons from the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the European Union Artificial Intelligence Act and the United States disability-discrimination framework. A detailed attention is provided to employment because algorithmic hiring and workplace surveillance expose the central tension between efficiency and reasonable accommodation. It concludes that India needs a disability-centred AI governance framework built around participatory design, accessibility, impact assessment, data minimisation, meaningful human review, vendor accountability and effective remedies. AI should assist a person in exercising choices; it should not silently decide which persons are worthy of opportunity, care or public support.

Abstract: Memory dysfunction or memory disorders are now becoming a health problem that negatively impacts quality of life and functional independence. Nisy?n in Unani medicine is a disorder in which memory, reasoning, and imagination become defective. The objective of this review is to give an integrative discussion on the Unani perspective of Nisy?n, its pathophysiology, presentation, lifestyle factors, and treatment approach supported by recent scientific findings. A comprehensive literature search was undertaken using electronic databases, including PubMed, Google Scholar, Scopus, and ScienceDirect, to identify relevant English-language publications. Classical Unani literature was reviewed using authoritative texts, including Al-Qanun fi'l-Tibb, Sharah Asbab, Tibb-e-Akbar, Zakheera Khwarzam Shahi, Khazain-ul-Advia, and other standard Unani references. As per the classical literature, the Nisy?n arises from derangements of Quwwat-e-Hafiza, Quwwat-e-Mufakkira, and Quwwat-e-Khayal mostly due to Su'-e-Mizaj of the brain. Both classical and modern literature indicate the role of modifiable lifestyle factors which includes poor dietary habits, digestion, sleep problems, inactivity, psychological distress, and metabolic disorders in causing memory dysfunction. Many Muqawwi-e-Hafiza drugs have shown antioxidant, neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory, and cognitive effects in experimental studies. However, evidence is inadequate for some formulations.

Introduction: Burn injuries are among the most common causes of morbidity, with second-degree burns involving both epidermal and partial dermal damage. Modern management emphasizes infection control and pain relief, while Ayurvedic medicine offers wound-healing and tissue-regenerative therapies. This case report describes successful healing of second-degree burn using Shatadhauta ghrita during the active phase, followed by Manjistaadi taila in the post-healing period as a savarnya. Methodology: A clinical observation was conducted on a patient with second-degree burns. Wound was cleansed with normal saline and Shatadh?uta Gh?ita was applied externally twice daily. Modern management included IV antibiotics along with regular aseptic dressing. The healing progress was monitored based on pain reduction, exudate control, epithelialization rate, and scar formation over a period of 21 days. Results: Patient treated with the combined Ayurvedic and modern approach showed better wound healing, significant pain relief, early epithelialization, and minimal scarring compared to standard care alone. No secondary infections or adverse effects were observed during the treatment period.

The period of Mysorean occupation of Malabar which lasted from 1766 to 1792, was a significant event in the history of modern Kerala. The first phase of invasion was under Hyder Ali Khan and the second phase was led by Tipu Sultan. Their invasions witnessed to a period of fear and chaos in Malabar, specially for the higher strata of Hindus. Mysorean occupation resulted in the decline of the feudal political system in Malabar and many Rajas, feudal lords, and Nair soldiers fled to southern Kerala. A large number of the elites were converted to Islam and those who declined to conversion were deported or killed. It was reported that untold atrocities were inflicted on the upper-castes and their traditional rights and privileges were stripped off. This situation continued up to the Sreerangapattanam treaty in 1792 and the consequent restoration of the old feudal system.

This study examines lexical borrowing in Kokborok, with particular emphasis on the influence of Bangla and English. As the indigenous language of the Tripuri community, Kokborok has experienced extensive contact with neighboring and global languages due to historical, social, educational, and administrative factors. These interactions have resulted in the incorporation of numerous loan words, especially from Bangla and English, into the Kokborok lexicon. The research investigates the nature, sources, and patterns of lexical borrowing, as well as the phonological and morphological adaptations that borrowed words undergo before becoming part of everyday Kokborok usage. It also explores the sociolinguistic factors that encourage borrowing, including bilingualism, language contact, education, urbanization, media exposure, and technological advancement. The study employs a descriptive and qualitative approach, drawing on examples from spoken and written Kokborok to illustrate the extent of lexical influence. The findings indicate that while Bangla has significantly influenced domains such as administration, culture, and daily communication because of long-standing regional contact, English has contributed extensively to the vocabulary of education, science, technology, and modern lifestyle. The study concludes that lexical borrowing has enriched the Kokborok vocabulary and reflects the language's adaptability to changing social and cultural contexts. At the same time, it emphasizes the importance of documenting these linguistic changes to preserve the unique identity and structural characteristics of Kokborok.

This study details the formulation, sensory optimization, nutritional profile, packaging selection, and cost efficiency of an innovative, low-cost instant protein mix powder designed to counter Protein Energy Malnutrition (PEM) and meet modern dietary demands. Developed from a blend of curry leaves, oats, peanuts, and pumpkin seeds, three product variations (IPM 1, IPM 2, IPM 3) were processed through roasting and milling. Sensory evaluation using a 9-point hedonic scale established IPM 2 as the significantly superior formulation across all criteria (overall acceptability score: 8.9). Laboratory analysis of 100g of the optimized mix revealed a dense macronutrient profile yielding 452 Kcal, 21.8g of protein, 13.5g of fat, 60.7g of carbohydrates, and 2.5g of dietary fiber. Economically, the cost of production was determined to be INR112 per 100g, translating to INR1,120 per kilogram, presenting a highly scalable, shelf-stable commercial alternative to existing synthetic protein supplements.

A quasi-experimental study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) on stress and anxiety among wives of alcoholics residing in Mizoram. The objectives were to evaluate the effectiveness of EFT in reducing stress and anxiety and to determine the association between stress, anxiety, and selected demographic variables. A quantitative pre-test-post-test design was adopted. Sixty wives of alcoholics were selected through snowball sampling, with 30 participants each in the experimental and control groups. A structured questionnaire was used to collect demographic data. Stress was assessed using a 5-point Likert scale, while anxiety was measured using a 4-point Likert scale. In the pre-test, most participants in both groups had moderate levels of stress and anxiety. Following the intervention, the experimental group showed a marked improvement, with most participants reporting mild stress (80%) and mild anxiety (76.67%), whereas the control group showed little change. Paired comparison revealed a statistically significant reduction in stress (mean difference = 5.97, p < 0.05) and anxiety (mean difference = 8.23, p < 0.05) in the experimental group. No significant pre-test to post-test changes were observed in the control group. There were no significant differences between the groups at baseline; however, significant post-test differences were observed for both stress and anxiety (p < 0.001). Significant associations were found between age, duration of marriage, and duration of alcohol intake with pre-test stress and anxiety levels, while occupation, income, and daily expenditure on alcohol showed no significant association.

Serverless computing has emerged as a transformative cloud paradigm that offers elastic resource provisioning, event-driven execution, and pay-per-use billing. However, these characteristics have introduced a new class of economic cyber threats known as Denial-of-Wallet (DoW) attacks, where adversaries exploit automatic scaling mechanisms to generate excessive cloud expenditure while maintaining service availability. Existing detection approaches primarily focus on traffic anomalies and resource consumption patterns but often neglect explicit cost-awareness, multi-scale temporal behavior, and model interpretability. To address these limitations, this paper proposes a Cost-Aware Multi-Scale CNN-GRU Framework with Explainable Artificial Intelligence (CMS-CG-XAI) for accurate and interpretable DoW attack detection in serverless environments. The proposed framework integrates cloud telemetry data and financial indicators through a cost-aware feature engineering module that extracts invocation cost, billing growth rate, budget utilization, and resource-to-cost conversion metrics. A one-dimensional Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is employed to learn local behavioral patterns from invocation sequences, while a Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) network captures long-range temporal dependencies associated with attack evolution. To improve attack characterization across multiple temporal scales, Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) decomposition is incorporated before temporal learning. Furthermore, SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) are utilized to provide interpretable predictions and identify dominant attack-driving features. Experiments are conducted using publicly available DoW datasets and serverless telemetry benchmarks under strict chronological evaluation protocols. Performance is assessed using Accuracy, Precision, Recall, F1-Score, Matthews Correlation Coefficient (MCC), and Area Under the Receiver Operating Characteristic Curve (AUC-ROC). Comparative analysis against Random Forest, XGBoost, CNN, LSTM, GRU, and CNN-LSTM baselines demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed framework. Results indicate that integrating cost-aware analytics with multi-scale temporal learning significantly improves detection capability while maintaining operational interpretability. The proposed framework offers a practical and scalable solution for next-generation serverless security systems and contributes toward economically aware cyber defense mechanisms in cloud-native infrastructures.

Contemporary Indian mythological fiction redefines mythology by transforming ancient narratives into reflections of modern human experiences. Kavita Kane's Menaka's Choice exemplifies this transformation by reimagining the apsara, Menaka as a multidimensional individual whose emotional struggles, personal choices and moral dilemmas transcend myth. This paper examines how Kane reconstructs Menaka's story to explore human experience while challenging patriarchal interpretations of mythology. Moving beyond Menaka's conventional portrayal as a celestial temptress, the novel presents her as a woman seeking love, belonging, dignity and self-determination. Through thematic analysis of domestic life, feminism, empowerment, etc., The study shows how these themes shape Menaka's journey from divine servitude to self-realization. It argues that Kane humanizes mythological characters by emphasizing emotional vulnerability, ethical conflict and psychological growth, making mythology relevant to contemporary society. The novel critiques patriarchal structures that restrict women's autonomy while portraying empowerment as a process of resilience and conscious choice. It further demonstrates that love and sacrifice are transformative forces shaping identity and personal growth. By blending mythology with realistic human emotions, Menaka's Choice bridges ancient traditions and modern perspectives, presenting mythology as a dynamic literary space that affirms resilience, compassion and moral strength as the essence of true heroism.
