Bio-molecules derived from various plant components and microbial species have been investigated as possible agents for synthesizing silver nanoparticles (AgNPs). There is worldwide interest in synthesizing silver nanoparticles by different methods for their anti-bacterial activity, catalysis, and anti-fungal activity. In medical science and illness therapy, developing the biologically inspired green synthesis of silver nanoparticles has gotten a lot of interest. Synthesized silver nanoparticles were detected using UV Vis spectroscopy to examine the silver nanoparticles that had been made. Moreover, X-Ray Diffraction, Fourier Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM), spectrophotometry, Electron Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS), and X-Ray Diffraction (EDS) were used for confirmation.

The purpose of this experiment was to examine the capabilities of bacterial concrete for building. To make concrete stronger than regular concrete and to increase the qualities of concrete, a bacterial called BACILLUS SUBTILIS (together with its nutrition) is injected. The project is designed to investigate evaluate cube specimens compressive strength, know the optimal number of bacteria to use, and research the characteristics of cracks in the specimens by adding the urease, gram-positive Bacillus Subtilis (spore forming bacteria), as well as facultative aerobic. Mechanism: When there is oxidation and moist present, bacteria transfer the calcium found in concrete into lime. We deduced from the abovementioned method that adding bacillus species to concrete boosts its strength and gives it the ability to self-heal cracks

In the present work, Kadukkai (Terminalia Chebula) isused as natural admixture and examined its effect on the properties of conventional concrete and fly ash blended concrete. In detailed, the effect of Terminalia Chebula on the properties such as compressive strength and split tensile strength of fly ash blended concrete and conventional concrete was investigated. The consistency increased with increase in dosage of natural admixture up to 2% for fly ash blended binders. Various percentages of fly ash such as 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50% and Kadukkai (Terminalia Chebula) powder of 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 and 1.0% are investigated. The mechanical properties of the conventional concrete as well as fly ash blended concrete are improved by addition of natural admixture at an optimum dosage of 0.75%. On the other hand, the consistency of fly ash blended concrete is increases with increased dosage of natural admixture up to 2%. It has been observed that with the optimum dosage of natural admixture, the fly ash blended concrete achieved the desired strength at 28 days of curing. Industrialization and urbanization has led to depletion of high quality construction materials. The cost of construction materials is increasing significantly, so are their availability. So alternate construction materials are to be found and exploited. The material Phosphogypsum and fly ash has been found to have certain properties which can be useful in the construction. Phosphogypsum is the primary byproduct of the wet-acid process for producing phosphoric acid from phosphate roc and fly ash is the by-product of coal. The aim of the project is to develop a sustainable concrete with improved strength, durability and having less maintenance by utilizing Phosphogypsum and fly ash. Mechanical strength for compressive strength, split tensile strength and flexural strength were conducted to find the optimum usage of alternative materials with proportions of 5%, 10% and 15% of total weight of concrete and durability tests of sulphate , chloride resistance and corrosion test were performed. From the studies, it is concluded that long term strength and durability has increased when fly ash concrete is modified by partially replacing cement with 10% of phosphogypsum.The phosphogypsum increases the workability of the concrete due to the combined lubricating effect of fly ash and phosphogypsum. The strength properties are similar to the addition of fly ash in concrete.From durability studies of rapid chloride permeability, with the inclusion of fly ash, chloride ingress capacity of concrete is decreased. Pore refinement and grain refinement due to reaction between fly ash and liberated lime improves impermeability. The reduction in permeability of concrete is mainly due to filling of the pores and voids with calcium carbonate precipitation.

There was a severe scarcity of river sand, which was ideal for a new study area. The depletion of river sand and the necessity for scientific management and use of the available resource have been studied. Foundry sand can be used as a partial or complete substitute for fine aggregates, as well as a supplemental addition to achieving various concrete qualities. By weight, Micro Silica was used in place of cement, and waste foundry sand was used in lieu of fine aggregate. At the ages of 28, 56, and 90 days, compressive and split tensile strength tests were performed. At 15% foundry sand replenishment, the maximum strength was obtained. Concrete is used worldwide and hence the usage of its constituents plays a major role in determining its health. The vast majority of it contains fine aggregate. River sand, which is readily available, is commonly used as a fine total in many countries. The increased demand for concrete has led this common sand asset to deteriorate. Dhaka, Bikrampur was the centre of cultural activities in East Bengal during Mughal period. Calcutta was born much later, during colonial times. Concrete production needs a considerable amount of fine aggregate. The large-scale extraction of river sand from riverbeds has been prohibited. So, by partially substituting sea sand with river sand as fine aggregate, an experimental investigation on the strength characteristics of cement concrete is conducted. Waste plastic and crumb rubber are industrial by-products that have a disposal problem. The building industry's demand for aggregate is steadily expanding in the modern period. The development of infrastructures involves the use of many natural resources resulting in their depletion. The production of the cement causes many problems like emission of carbon-di-oxide gas to the atmosphere can be reduced by the replacement of cement with GGBS. Similarly, the replacement of SS as a fine aggregate also enables to eliminate the problems associated with production of aggregates.This study aims to generate specific experimental data on the potential use of ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) as a cement replacement as well as scrap slag (SS) as a fine aggregate replacement in concrete. This study analyses the mechanical strength for compressive strength, split tensile strength and flexural strength were conducted to find the optimum usage of alternative material GGBS with proportions of 15%, 25% and 30% of total weight of concrete and SS as fine aggregate in GGBS incorporated concrete with varying proportions of 4%, 8%, 12%, 16% and 20% of total weight of concrete. Also durability tests of sulphate , chloride resistance and corrosion test were performed. The experimental results have been shown that SS is a non- hazardous industrial by- product from steel making units. Optimum percentage of GGBS as binder was found to be 25% in M25 grade concrete. From the research study, the optimum percentage of SS as fine aggregate in optimum GGBS incorporated concrete was found as the concrete made with 12% replacement of fine aggregate with SS. The duration of concrete exposure in sodium sulphate solution increases the weight loss increases and compressive strength decreases. As the duration of concrete exposure in hydrochloric acid solution increases the weight loss is less affected and the compressive strength decreases.

Concrete is one such basic component that has always undergone continuous improvement in order to improve the strength properties by adding various admixtures. The strength of concrete is improved by substituting Alccofine and Metakaolin for cement and adding jute fibres to the mix. Jute fibers are added in concrete to improve strength without any environmental effect. In this experimental investigation 1% of jute fiber added by the volume of concrete. The partial replacement of cement with Metakaolin and Alccofine with percentages of 3, 6, 9, 12, 18 and 0.3, 0.6, 0.9, 1.2, 1.5 respectively. The mechanical properties are determined for 28, 56 and 90 days. The maximum UPV found to be 4760N/mm2 for 28 days by adding 1% jute fibers and partial replacing of Alccofine-1203 (1.2%) and Metakaolin (12%)

Background: Cardiovascular Disease is the top leading cause of death in a south-Asian country like India. Cardiothoracic surgery is one of the treatments of choice in severe morbidity condition to reduce mortality rate and disability. Despite recent advances and updated technical instrumentation postoperative pulmonary complication is a critical problem. Physiotherapy works efficiently to minimise postoperative complication to improve the health status of the patient. Aims and objectives: The purpose of the study is to evaluate the immediate effect of Stacked Breathing technique on Peak Expiratory Flow rate[PEFR] and Oxygen Saturation[SpO2] in Cardiothoracic surgery Patient. Methodology: Out of a total of 119 screened patients, only 105 were able to complete the intervention. Stacked Breathing was performed by the patient twice daily [Morning and Afternoon] for 1st, 2nd and 3rd postoperative days termed as six-session [ IA, IB, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB where, A=morning, B= afternoon and I to III is Postoperative day 1 to 3] pre and postexercise outcome were measured and data collected. Statistical analysis: Instant software was used for statistical analysis. As data is not normally distributed Dunn test [Non-Parametric repeated measure ANOVA] were used followed by post hoc test. Result: Comparing IA Vs. IIIB, net 40.73% change in PEFR value is observed. Statistically significant improvement in PEFR with p-value <0.001 is seen. Oxygen saturation shows statistically significant improvement with p-value <0.001 with each session daily. Conclusion: Stacked Breathing can be used as a treatment tool to increase Peak Expiratory Flow Rate and Oxygen Saturation in a patient with cardiothoracic surgery in their early postoperative days.
