In this age of digitization and automation, human life has become simpler as almost everything happens automatically, instead of manual home systems. Today people made the internet an essential part of their everyday lives apart from what they can help themselves with. Internet of Things (IoT) provides a platform that allows devices to connect, hear and remotely control network infrastructure. IoT devices control and monitor electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems used in various systems. Devices connected to the cloud server are controlled by a single controller that helps the number of users where the number of sensors and controls are connected advances in technology have not only changed our lives but also expanded all aspects of our lifestyle. Many electrical appliances are constantly monitored by hand to ensure efficient operation. Installing new device-specific devices not only increases costs but replaces the old device. Here we propose a system, which can monitor and organize any old electronic device with a mobile app, and its functionality can be effectively maintained by saving time and energy.

Depression is the one of the largest reason of non-fatal health loss worldwide. Second-generation antidepressant drugs are the first-line therapy for pharmacological management of depression. Improvement in the use of these drugs is significant in lowering the burden of depression. Venlafaxine is a unique antidepressant drug including a wide range of antidepressant activity and a safety profile that are corresponding to serotonin selective reuptake inhibitors. Venlafaxine (VEN) is an antidepressant agent which is widely used as an alternative to selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), particularly for the treatment of SSRI-resistant depression.Venlafaxine inhibits presynaptic reuptake of serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine; 5-HT) and noradrenaline (norepinephrine). As the co-administration of antidepressant drugs with other medications is very common in clinical practice, the potential risk for pharmacokinetic and/or pharmacodynamic drug interactions that may be clinically meaningful increases. Bearing in mind that VEN has exhibited large variability in antidepressant response, besides the individual genetic background, several other factors may contribute to those variable clinical outcomes, such as the occurrence of significant drug-drug interactions. Indeed, the presence of drug interactions is possibly one of the major reasons for interindividual variability, and their anticipation should be considered in conjugation with other specific patients' characteristics to optimize the antidepressant therapy. Hence, a comprehensive overview of the pharmacokinetic- and pharmacodynamic-based drug interactions involving VEN is herein provided, particularly addressing their clinical relevance.

India is a land of diverse cultures, traditions and languages. Among the developing countries in the world, India is one of the rapidly growing nations on account of industrialization and technological advancements. The expansion of Indian trade relations on a global scale has led to a significant transformation in the marketing policies and consumer culture. The increasing materialistic concerns among the people, however, tend to pose a detrimental threat to sustainable development of the country. To prevent development at the cost of environment, many advertising agencies adopt diverse techniques to perpetuate sustainability. One of the crucial methods by which this can be implemented is through proper mode of communication. This paper focuses on a close examination of the story-telling approach in Indian commercials that serves a dual purpose. While on the one hand, it subtly challenges and subverts the stereotypes prevalent in the Indian culture, on the other hand, it conveys to the viewers the idea of adopting means that shall promote sustainability. As a starting point, this study shall highlight the importance of narratives in the advertisements of goods and products in the Indian context. In a country where the population is overwhelming, where majority of the people lack education and awareness, and where pollution levels are intimidating, mere didactic mass propaganda on sustainable use of resources cannot be effective. On the contrary, stories have potential to evoke emotional responses and elicit the desired effect upon the audience. By narrativizing the advertisements, the companies appeal to the inner sentiments of the people thereby not only alluring them to buy the product but also moralizing on the principles of sustainability. Thereafter, the essay shall emphasize on the power of music and song in adding life and colour to these narratives. Finally, it will underline the role of children and how their involvement in the ads not only makes the adult viewers rethink the socially sanctioned and accepted norms but also encourages the future generation to align themselves along the path of sustainability, thereby, providing an additional impetus to achieve the goals of sustainable development. This essay shall analyse these strands through various case studies of Indian advertisements.

Abstract There is no doubt that fact that insecurity has been one of the major concerns to both past and present governments in Nigeria. This is as a result of the Nigerian history and development challenges that have been continuously rooted in conflicts and instability. Various governments have made several efforts aimed at addressing the situation ranging from the creation of various security agencies and several reforms of the existing ones as well as various forms of youth empowerment, yet the security challenges continued. Therefore, the objective of this study is to find out if the rate of unemployment and lack of youth empowerment in the country especially in the Federal Capital Territory is the reason why the country has continued to remain unsafe for the citizens. The study was anchored on human security theory as its point of departure while quantitative research design which made use of the survey method was employed to accomplish the purpose of the study. The data for the study were generated through structured questionnaire items and focus group discussions. 400 respondents were purposively selected from the study area. Three points Likert-type scale was employed in data collection and to measure the magnitude of the responses. Data collected were analyzed using percentages. The findings show that youth unemployment and lack of empowerment as well as the character of the Nigerian state are the major causes of insecurity in Nigeria. It equally shows that the government has not made serious efforts to address the unemployment rate and acquisition of skills, especially for the youths. The paper, therefore, recommends among others that governments at all levels should empower the youths a productive and skills manpower development as a security measure. Also, the government should empower the youth through a soft loan to enable them to start some businesses of their own, while the government continues to monitor the beneficiaries, offering them advice and guidance where necessary.
