It is an overall view of literature-vision of the cultural universe. Thus the study will throw light on some feministic elements like how feminism comes along way from power, politics to an understanding of cultural diversification. Feminism of late called womanism is a serious attempt to formulate the identity issues and find solutions to gender problems. Shashi Deshapande who reveals the process of self-awareness at work in female psyche and Toni Morrison as a ethnic cultural feminist celebrating the strength of black women against the heavy odds of racism, sexism and classicism. It is an attempt to analyse the basic bond that exists between men and women, parents and children and to know how the external circumstances also affect the mutualities. Further to focus the economic stress, political tension and the changes in the value system of society and to see how power imbalances due to gender in given culture and try to promote gender equality through this feminist criticism. Feminism has always meaning dependence of mind, spirit and body. The current study, based on Shashi Deshpande's and Toni Morrison's selected novels, deals with the complexities of man-woman relationships, particularly in the context of marriage, as well as the trauma of disturbed adolescence also show how carefully they expresses the frustration and disappointment of women, which they experience in their marital relationships. It implies that men and women must work together to create a mature and balanced gender relationship.

Surface water holds immense significance, providing sustenance, transportation, recreation, and supporting life forms. Pollutants in water bodies pose a severe threat to human health as well as aquatic ecosystem. Jashpur district is bestowed with many rivers which are used for irrigation and drinking purposes. Nine physicochemical parameters including pH, turbidiy, alkalinity, total dissolved solids, total hardness, chloride, fluoride, Calcium and magnesium were analysed in surface water samples collected from four different sampling sites of Jashpur district with the objective of evaluating the quality of the water. This paper presents a comparison of water quality across different sampling sites of study area based on calculations using weighted arithmetic water quality index. Result reveals that overall water quality of S2 and S3 is good while S1 and S4 are poor. Although water of S1 and S2 can be used for irrigation and other purposes, implementation of effective water treatment processes along with regular monitoring and testing of water quality are vital for improving water quality and to identify potential issues and take appropriate actions in future.

Vehicles have become an important part of the daily life of human beings. The transportation is made more easier and simpler by using vehicles. The gasoline vehicles have been used by the humans for more than few decades. The gasoline vehicles emit more harmful chemicals like carbon monoxide, formaldehyde, and Nitrogen dioxide that are really dangerous and they cause high temperature rise in the atmosphere, causing global warming. The use of unlimited fossil fuels led to the reduction in availability of fossil fuels. Switching to electric vehicles is one of the best solutions for overcoming the disadvantages of gasoline vehicles. Many studies have been conducted on the various Electric charging strategies. The most effective way to charge an electric vehicle is wirelessly, and many forms of wireless charging are currently the subject of research. In our project, we talk about how to charge an electric car while it's moving. The principle here is the Mutual induction between the primary and the secondary coils. Power is stored in the battery and is charged while the car is moving. Also, when the vehicle starts charging, an alert notification is sent to the provided phone number with the assistance of GSM module which shows the battery percentage and charging of the vehicle. This novel approach can get around the main drawback of electric vehicles. Using this way of charging, the limited battery range, longer charging times, low efficiency can be overcome.

Witnesses are one of the essential elements of a criminal justice system. Protecting the lives and identities of witnesses who give evidence against criminals is essential for a successful criminal justice system that aims to deter crime and maintain law and order in the society. The constitutional courts in India have acknowledged the idea of witness protection and taken it into consideration, but its execution has been insufficient and not up to the mark. The statutory witness protection programme offered by the Central Government's Witness Protection Scheme, 2018, constitutes the majority of the witness protection measures that are available in India. But there are a number of flaws in the plan, including the lack of a legal framework, scarce funding, and poor infrastructure, among others. The need for witness protection is pressing in India, where witnesses are often subjected to intimidation, harassment, and even physical violence. The lack of effective witness protection measures has led to low conviction rates and impunity for offenders. This research article critically examines the existing criminal justice system in India in relation to protection of witnesses. In order to strengthen and improve the current criminal justice system, the research piece also offers some recommendations related to witnesses of the crime. The role of judiciary in protection of the witnesses has also been discussed, particularly in the recent past.

Abstract This paper explores the prevalence of rape crimes and the victimization experienced by rape survivors in contemporary India. It reveals the customs, mentality, laws, and practices surrounding rape, which harm survivors. India's traditions and cultural norms contribute to victim-blaming and stigmatization, perpetuating a culture of silence and perpetuating a cycle of violence. The prevailing mentality favors perpetrators over survivors, with victim-blaming attitudes, lack of empathy, and questioning survivors' credibility further obstructing the path to justice. The legal framework and practices related to rape in India pose significant challenges for survivors, with inadequate implementation of laws, delays in judicial proceedings, and a lack of sensitivity in the criminal justice system hindering their access to justice. The absence of comprehensive support systems and the limited availability of specialized services further exacerbate their difficulties. To combat rape crimes and support survivors, it is essential to foster a societal shift in attitudes, dismantle patriarchal norms, implement education and awareness programs, and implement legal reforms. By challenging regressive customs, altering mentalities, and overhauling legal frameworks, India can create a society where survivors are empowered, violence is condemned, and justice is served.

During the last decade of 19th century Kashmir witnessed the emergence of various and distinctive socio-religious reform movements. One of the movement came to prominence was Arya Samaj in Kashmir. This movement was formed by Swami Dayanand Saraswati in April 1875 at Bombay. It was organized with an aim of bringing about social reforms in the society and to instill the strong values and ethics among young people. The branches of Arya Samaj spread in Kashmir which contributed much towards the reformation of society. This was endorsed by the enlightened people of Kashmir. This movement strongly resisted against blind rituals without any reason and understanding. The research paper has been presented with a purpose to review the broader outlook of Arya Samaj in fighting the rigid rituals and customs which spread in the form of social norms among the Hindus in Kashmir.

The insect pest is also responsible for heavy damage to museum specimens and historical books. Among these insect pests, silverfish are well-known pests of houses, libraries, museums, and commercial places, feeding on and damaging a variety of food, such as clothing, paper products, paste or glue, as well as books. They can be a problem in libraries and other places where books, documents and papers are stored. Therefore in this study, lemongrass essential oil was investigated as insecticidal activity against silverfish. Insecticidal bioassay results of lemongrass essential oil indicated that no mortality was recorded in adult silverfish treated with all concentration of lemongrass essential oil for 15 minutes. But with increasing concentration of lemongrass essential oil and increasing treatment duration, the number of silverfish decreased. Maximum mortality was recorded at high oil concentration and higher treatment duration. The increase of ROC (%) is directly related to the increase of oil concentrations and treatment duration. An increase in ROC (%) was effectively recorded after treatment duration of 30 minutes. The increase in ROC (%) is minimum when the silverfishes are treated at 0.3 ml oil concentration for 15, 30, 45 & 60 min, 0.3 ml for 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes and maximum ROC (%) recorded when treated at 0.9 ml oil concentration to be done.

Seismic analysis plays a crucial role in assessing the structural performance of multistoried buildings subjected to earthquake forces. This abstract presents an overview of a study conducted on the seismic behavior of a multistoried building with both rigid and semi-rigid diaphragms. The objective of the analysis is to evaluate the structural response and identify the influence of diaphragm flexibility on the building's seismic performance. The study employs a numerical modeling approach, utilizing finite element analysis (FEA) software to simulate the building's behavior under seismic loading conditions. A three-dimensional (3D) model of the multistoried building, considering different heights and configurations, is developed. Two distinct diaphragm types, namely rigid and semi-rigid, are incorporated into the model to investigate their effects. The rigid diaphragm represents a traditional assumption in structural analysis, assuming perfect rigidity and full transfer of lateral forces across the building's floors. On the other hand, the semi-rigid diaphragm incorporates flexibility by considering the rotational and translational stiffness of the floor slabs. Through the seismic analysis, various key performance indicators are evaluated, including displacement, Time period, and column forces.

The present study aimed to investigate the influence of social media usage on self esteem and body image concerns among youth. The study hypothesised that social media would have no significant correlation to self esteem and significant correlation to body image concerns among youth. The study used a sample of 100 participants, consisting of 50 males and 50 females. The participants completed surveys assessing their social media use, self-esteem, and body image concerns. The results of the study did not support the first hypothesis, indicating that there was no significant correlation between social media use and self-esteem. The descriptive statistics showed that the mean scores for self-esteem were similar for both genders, and there was only a weak positive correlation between social media use and self-esteem. However, the results of the study supported the second hypothesis, indicating a significant correlation between social media use and body image concerns. The descriptive statistics showed that females had a higher mean score in social media use and body image concerns than males. The independent sample t-tests suggested that there was a significant difference in body image concerns between males and females, with females having a significantly higher mean score. This suggests that social media has a greater impact on body image concerns in females compared to males. Overall, the study highlights the importance of considering gender differences in the relationship between social media use and body image concerns. The findings suggest that social media use may have a negative impact on body image concerns, particularly in females. However, the study also suggests that social media use may not have a significant impact on self-esteem, indicating that the relationship between social media use and psychological outcomes may be complex and individual-specific.

This research paper aims to understand the characteristics of Indonesian stock investors by analyzing their levels of financial literacy and psychological bias tendencies. The study explores the level of financial literacy, differentiated into general financial literacy, financial report literacy, and stock investment literacy, and the level of psychological biases which are cognitive biases that can influence investment decision-making. The research utilizes quantitative surveys to gather comprehensive data from a sample of 153 Indonesian stock investors. The findings reveal that there is a significant difference both in the level of financial literacy and the level of psychological bias among investors. Moreover, the study identifies specific psychological biases commonly observed among Indonesian stock investors, such as overconfidence, loss aversion, and herding behavior. It is also found that stock investment literacy level is high, but it is lower for financial report literacy. These findings contribute to the existing literature on investor behavior and provide valuable insights for policymakers, financial institutions, and individual investors seeking to improve their investment decision-making processes. Enhancing financial literacy through educational initiatives and interventions can help mitigate the negative impact of psychological biases and foster a more informed and rational investment culture in Indonesia.
