Sufficient cover is required for the reinforcement in concrete structures for protection against corrosion. Though several codes of practices have specified minimum cover for various climatic conditions, it is often not maintained in practice. In this paper, the authors contend that the Indian Codal provisions relating to concrete cover have to be revised as they do not account for many factors related to minimum concrete cover. Also, some devices and methods to increase the quality of cover are discussed. The authors also stress that just an increase in concrete cover does not ensure durable structure.

Scene boundary detection is crucial in applications like scene segmentation and video skimming, but the presence of ad clips makes it difficult. There are some existing methods based on visual, audio-visual and audio-only features. The existing audio-only feature-based method depends on short silences between program and ad or between ads. Still, short silences can also be present inside the program, affecting performance. So we proposed a detection method for ad shots using MFCC features. MFCC is a basic speech feature based on short-term spectral. We used the average of MFCC for a shot and determined the threshold for detection purposes. We used four episodes of The Big Bang Theory as our dataset. Our method is the first method that uses MFCC features for ad detection and explores the relation between video contents and MFCC features.

Tomatoes contain a lot of water, making them more prone to deterioration due to the action of numerous microbes. This makes storage and shipping difficult for this vegetable. Tomatoes are a common vegetable that is eaten fresh in salads, garnished on other foods, and cooked to provide flavours to a variety of dishes. As a result, it is a common food component in both Asian and European countries. Furthermore, tomatoes are high in vitamins, particularly vitamin A, as it contains the precursor -carotene, which is critical for vision. It is also a good supplier of minerals, making it an important food component. Bacteria, the fungus was shown to be the source of spoiling in the majority of the samples. This review paper aims to study various microorganism which are involved in spoilage of tomatoes. This can help in creative different majors for preventing spoilage of tomato. Also, these fungi are the source of highly potent mycotoxins, which can cause serious food poisoning and even death review, the results can be dangerous. We have made an effort to list all of the tomato-related causes that have been researched in this review.

Deep learning (DL) has proven beneficial in medical imaging, and several research have begun to study DL-based solutions for the aided detection of lung disorders in the aftermath of the recent COVID19 epidemic. While previous research has focused on Chest Computed Tomography (CT) scans, this study investigates the use of Deep learning approaches to analyse lung ultrasonography (LUS) data. Which provide a new completely annotated dataset of lung ultrasonography images are gathered from multiple hospitals and some web resources, with reflecting labels shows the severity of illness at the frame and pixel levels. At frame levels, deep networks having Spatial Transformational Network (STN) are introduced to analyse the severity of disease automatically in lung ultrasonography images. In this proposed system, a deep network named Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) based transfer learning is used and developed from Spatial Transformer Networks (STN) that which predicts the disease from the given image. Once after the disease prediction, U-Net Will applied for the segmentation of the predicted disease part from the given image.

With the increase in the number of complex high rise buildings, ensuring safety is a primary requisite. In the event of an emergency such as an earthquake or a fire, the protocol followed is exiting the building as soon as possible. But in such modern day complex buildings, evacuation becomes slightly more complicated as they have multiple levels, limited exits and house larger number of people. This calls for a system that evacuates people efficiently. The Emergency Evacuation System (EES) based on Internet of Things (IoTs) aims to achieve an effective evacuation process that ensures safety and minimum casualties using sensors for early detection and monitoring, an alarm for warning about the casualty and application for evacuee guidance and easy navigation. In the occurrence of an emergency, the EES detects it, alerts the civilians in the building and provides guidance through an application.
